Vacation rentals with a sauna in River Eden

Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

Amazing stay, lovely room with good amenities. Excellent sauna available to use and helpful information about the local area. Hosts very knowledgeable about the walks and local wildlife! We were lucky enough to spot the badgers in the evening and some otters on the lake! Overall absolutely wonderful stay!

Stayed here with 5 friends after a morning of walking ingleborough peak. Perfect location and exactly as described in both the description and the images. Restaurant downstairs was lovely for dinner and breakfast. Hot tub and sauna was a bonus! Had a great time.

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

We stayed here for a week and had an amazing time. The location is perfect, within walking distance to Windermere town (about 10 mins) and also Bowness (about 20 mins). The accommodation was spacious and clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Gary and Ange were fantastic hosts, they made us feel very welcome whenever we bumped into them and went above and beyond to return a personal item we accidentally left behind. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time we visit the Lake District.

What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!

Thurnham hall is a great place to stay!

Colin contacted us prior to our stay to give us accurate details of where to go, and what to do. He gave us his contact number incase there was any issues, and told us to contact him anytime. His apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the photos do not do it justice.. and the views from the balcony were 100%. The location was perfect for what we was looking for. We would highly recommend ,and definitely stay there again.😊

We loved our stay at Howe Tarn. It was the prefect base for exploring the Lakes. the accommodation was comfortable and very peaceful, and had everything we needed. Mark was proactive in checking on us and although we didn't need anything we were confident we would have got a swift response had we needed to ask anything. Would definitely stay again.

Another fantastic stay at Hannah's lovely property for myself and my family. As soon as we found it available again, we had to book it. Lovely and clean, everything needed for our stay, fantastic location, and the comfiest beds. Just perfect! I'm sure we'll be back again in the future. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for my sons 12th birthday for 2 nights end of May 2025. The house itself was beautiful, tastefully decorated and felt fresh and clean. The beds were all very comfortable with good bedding. The Hosts were very friendly and we felt the check in was easy and hassle free. The games room, sauna and hot tub were great additions and again well looked after and clean. We would definayely book here again.

A fabulous house - perfect for a family gathering. The children loved the hot tub, games room, secret bookcase door/room and the adults loved the gorgeous kitchen/dining area and the sauna. Such a lovely break!! 🙂

Beautiful property, well worth the visit!

We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

The house was so beautiful and ticked every box. Scenery, peace and quiet, lots of space to celebrate with friends. Kitchen well equipped we wanted for nothing. We loved the sauna and outside jacuzzi and a beautiful dining room to dine. The house was immaculate and beds so comfortable. Would visit again in a heart beat. We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀
