Hello and bonjour, My name is Nicola and I'm Scottish but love the fantastic countyside here in beautiful Burgundy. Our cute house with terrace and mezzanine is nestling under the magnificent Chateauneuf en Auxois. In 2 minutes you can walk along the Canal De Bourgogne taking in the wonderful views. Lots of interestings places to visit,wine to drink, markets, restaurants, castles, nature. Beaune 25 minutes, Dijon 40. Local market in summer in Pouilly en Auxois on a Friday. A bientot, Nicola :)

The old village school

The old school/schoolmaster's house is on the edge of a tiny village where there's no shop, no café, so you’ll need a car. It's very rural here, with views across the gently undulating countryside from the school. Two small towns with supermarkets - La Machine and Cercy-la-Tour, are both about 11 kilometres away. Decize, a much larger town on the Loire, is about 18 km away. There are two double bedrooms, and another small one with a triple-layer bunk bed suitable for children.

Close to the Canal du Nivernais, the course of the 16 locks , the ponds of Baye and Vaux, with water activities and swimming. Close to the Morvan Natural Park, visit to Vezelay, Bibracte, Guedelon.... Bakery 1 km away, other shops in Corbigny 10 minutes away by car.
