This place was perfect to escape city life and have a romantic stay in the woods. it definitely did not disappoint and is exactly how you see in the pics. Doris was very clear with her Intructions on how to get to the property so it made it easy to find the place. We made it to the property in a little Honda Accord. Theres so much to do around the area as well as many places to eat out in the surrounding area. it's in the perfect location. Not too far not too close. We will be coming back again!

We didn’t have an AWD vehicle so we couldn’t make it up the hill, so we did park at the bottom- which was a little difficult. Had to make a couple trips and it is a decent walk especially in the rain and mud. Just make sure you are prepared for a walk or bring a vehicle that can handle big ruts and really muddy roads! (Not the hosts fault by any means and they clearly state that you need an AWD car in details!) The outdoor bathtub was frickin amazing! I felt like I was at a spa retreat. We loved this cozy cabin. Bed was comfy, things were clean, and everything was straightforward and easy to use. Kitchen had a rather miscellaneous selection of utensils and such so I’d suggest keeping it simple for meals. We went on a short walk around the property and came back with quite a few ticks. So that was not fun, but also not anyone’s fault. All in all- would absolutely 10/10 recommend staying here! I wish I could live there!

The place is right off highway store is near by, attractions are close too. The place is quiet, you really get the outdoor experience that you want in the trailer, everything functional outdoor fire pit and bbq, indoor stove, microwave and refrigerator. This spot is great for a family that likes adventures . :)

I have been staying in Air B N B properties for 10 years all over the country and in California and this property sticks out as one of the best. The actual loft itself was in perfect condition with a perfect bathroom. Kassandra and Allen are incredibly kind people that let my son feed their horses. Allen gave us a tour of their expansive property. They even set up a fire pit for us (on request and because it's not fire season). If you want a place to stay in California gold country, I cannot recommend enough. Would give six stars if I could!

I took my daughters on a short girls trip to Derek’s place. We stayed 2 nights. The deck was a fun hangout spot and we enjoyed hanging out in the dome at night. The shower gets very hot and is so relaxing. I appreciated the coffee on site and snacks. We walked down to Rollins Lake a few times and were amazed at how close it was. Definitely worth the short walk down for sunset. Definitely recommend Empire Mine State Park as a nearby attraction. We had so much fun walking the grounds. Easy to find, inexpensive to get in, and truly beautiful grounds with lots of history! We will be back. Thanks for hosting us!

We will be back! Loved it so relaxing. We brought food to cook and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. Just remember to bring some oil. Great spot walkable to the state park and 1 min from the river. Nancy whom is the on site manager was wonderful.

Worked with me on very short notice, was super helpful and explained everything about the property beforehand and even left the lights and the heat on for me to arrive to. Overall, good experience and would recommend to anyone staying in the Nevada City area.
