Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Placer County

The place was as described and looked like the pictures. Erica was very responsive to questions we had. The unit also had some extra bathroom amenities like eye makeup remover and Q-tips besides your usual shampoo/conditioner and body wash. They also gave a small s’more’s package. The kitchen had standard supplies but had some plastic dining ware that we were able to use for the kids. They also had a toy and book basket with games that my kids loved. Very family friendly. The location is a little farther from the ski lifts but completely walkable and in the village. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolute marvelous 3 day-stay at this property! Just moments from the Big Spring Gondola, seconds from the general/gift store, and underground parking. Outstanding internet speed makes this a superb option for work/play vacations. Lola is very responsive and friendly. I plan on staying here next ski season for sure!!!

We had a great stay! The unit was sparklingly clean. The location is perfect in Northstar village, and we were able to park till 4PM after checking out which was very helpful. Elizabeth was very responsive to our questions. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Marci’s house. Everything was as described. The location is great-so close to the lake & a short drive to Truckee, North Star etc. The beds were comfy & all appliances were very new. The big back yard was great & we enjoyed the gas fireplace. The only negative is the hot tub is in the backyard so a bit of a walk through the snow to get to it in the winter. Not a deal breaker but just something to note. Would stay again.

Great place! Near the gondola and close to the ice rink. Check in at East West was very easy and garage parking was easy to find. The place was really clean, and it was really nice to have basic cooking ingredients (oil, salt and pepper). Very thoughtful host in having games and even a bench to sit and put on boots, we’ve stayed at so many other places in the village and no one thinks of putting a bench near the door! Take advantage of the hot tub access and the game room in the community center. We hope to stay here again next season!

Great little place to stay, 12 min drive from Northstar and 3-5 min from shops and restaurants in Kings Beach. Stairs leading to the loft area could use a handrail, but they did specify that they're not suitable for children or the elderly, which is accurate! But the bed upstairs is super comfortable once you get up there. The sofa on the main level is not the same as pictured, but still comes out into a bed, although it's really only good for one person because the back center cushion doesn't come out and there's no actual mattress. But all in all this was a good place for a short stay, and the projector was awesome!

Amazing space in such a beautiful area. This was the perfect place for us to stay to enjoy a wonderful spring skiing trip.

We had an amazing stay at this Dyuti’s place! The location is perfect—just a short distance from Northstar Ski Resort, making it incredibly convenient for skiing and exploring the area. The home itself is fully equipped with everything we needed, and we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained it was. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a comfortable stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Very nice modern unit in the village - definitely has the best layout and interior design of the units we’ve stayed at. Was perfect for our family of 4. Overall, a great option for Palisades.

Matt and Katie’s place is the perfect Palisades ski weekend stay! The place: -Amazing location in the center of the village, nice building and amenities (fully stocked kitchen, two huge community hot tubes, beautiful views from the deck), and lots of space to unwind. The only minor downside is it can be a little noisy on Friday night with a karaoke bar two floors below but this disbanded by 11pm. The hosts: Extremely responsive and helpful, with great recommendations and clear instructions. Overall, 10/10 planning to stay again!

Our stay was great! I thought the space was the perfect size for myself, husband and two small kiddos. And having two full bathrooms was a huge plus. The location was a very short 5 minute walk to The Village and the path was easy to follow. We didn't use the kitchen much so I can't speak to it but they had everything you need. Amy was quick to communicate and was very flexible/understanding with a last minute extension that we ended up not needing. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

My friends and I had awesome ski weekend at Northstar. We had two little kids and they LOVED the place with books and games in the two single bed room. Location is awesome, so close to the village. A loft above the kitchen definitely brings out an inner kid of myself. Place was clean, full stock of appliances and dishes. One of the best places I stayed! Willing to stay again.

The location is great, quiet with beautiful surroundings. I would give John 5 stars. He is a great host and very responsive. He kindly accommodated our early check-in and late check-out, which we really appreciated. For the place itself, I would give 4 stars. It could use a bit of maintenance, specifically, the dishwasher needs some attention, and the heater in the master bedroom was a bit too loud. However, everything else worked fine for a comfortable night’s sleep after a full day of skiing.

Beyond our expectations! A beautiful unit, clean, private, and perfect location as it was so close to the gondola entrance! Scott was such wonderful host, and we can't wait to visit again when ski season starts again.

We spent a week at Lori’s home in Northstar. It was fabulous! The space was perfect for our family. There are three bedrooms downstairs, so it felt like our family had our own place. The master is on the third floor where we had our extended family traveling with is stay, which gave them their own privacy. The beds were extremely comfortable! It’s a quick walk over to Northstar Village with several restaurants and shops — and the ski lifts!!! We loved having the perfect place just inside the garage door to store our ski stuff after a day on the slopes. Private hot tub was a huge plus! Thank you, Lori! We will be back.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Glass House! It was just as beautiful as the pictures promised! The amenities were fantastic, and we particularly loved the hot tub and sauna, which provided the perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the chef's kitchen was a fantastic bonus for preparing meals. Communication with our host was quick and convenient, making the check-in process seamless. This home is ideal for a ski weekend, offering plenty of entertainment and relaxation options right within the house. We would absolutely love to come back and rent this spot again in the future!

Micheal’s cabin was awesome and worked out perfect for us, he was very responsive and the house was in a great location. Looking forward to coming back!

Our family (4 total) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Christina's condo at Northstar. Very clean and comfortable condo with a fully outfitted kitchen, We cooked quite a bit so we really appreciated the high end appliances and accessories. The free daily shuttle to Northstar made skiing completely stress free. We are definitely planning on staying there again on our next adventure--thank you so much!

Great stay! Patti and Michael’s were great hosts and were super responsive and friendly. The house was exactly as described, clean, and great for the 5 guests that stayed. The backyard was perfect for our 2 dogs. Would recommend staying here to anyone!

We had the absolute best time here! The house is somehow even nicer in person than it looks online. It was exceptionally clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds and couches were so comfortable and check-in / check- out process were so smooth! Cannot say enough good things about this house and our experience. We will definitely be coming back here!
