Cabin vacation rentals in Norway

Simply put one of the most breathtaking houses you could find on Airbnb. If you think it looks amazing in the listing, wait to you experience it in real life. You will never want to leave the deck unless you need to get out of the sun or rain and enjoy the spectacular interior which is gorgeous but so comfortable. Every room has the same amazing view and Top quality fixtures and soft cozy design. Sinks, kitchen appliances, beds, bedding, even the sauna were all top notch. And we enjoyed the Phillips automatic espresso maker each morning. We will be back, even though it is a long trip from the Northeast of America. Finally, the location was perfect for us since we were 15-20 minutes from Svolaer, Kabelvag and Henninsvaer which has a great restaurant called Fiskohaven.

An absolutely amazing place to stay - the easiest 5-star review I’ve ever given! Breathtaking views from this beautiful and secluded cabin. The hot tub and fire pit are wonderful and the entire property is gorgeous, just like you can see in the photos. Two things to be aware of: 1) It’s a 3-4 min hike down to the cabin from the road where you park, but the hosts provided clear instructions for where to park and were super helpful in bringing our luggage down and back up during check-in and check-out. 2) There is another cabin right next to this one which the hosts also rent out. During the weekend that my wife and I were here, there was nobody staying in the other cabin so the area was a private oasis for us. Worth keeping in mind though that you’ll be sharing the space with others a bit though if anyone is staying in the other cabin. It’s a beautiful place and absolutely lives up to the photos in the listing. The hosts are helpful, friendly, and speak good English. 5/5!

We were allowed to spend 8 days in Kathrine's beautiful house. The location, tranquility and views are unique. The whole house is very clean and maintained. You immediately feel comfortable, which is why a rainy day is not a problem. The kitchen equipment leaves nothing to be desired, so you can easily take care of yourself. Particularly noteworthy here are the coffee machine and the Sodastream. The beds are very comfortable and the Stressless armchairs in the living room invite you to relax. The hot tub on the terrace with the great view is phenomenal. Kathrine responds to queries within a short time and also proactively passes on information. So she informed us about the Artic Run taking place, where we had the opportunity to get to know her, which made us very happy. We totally enjoyed the days at Kathrine and Glenn's house and hope we can come back in the winter.

We had a great time at Leon's cabin. He welcomed us as described and explained everything. The way to the cabin is simple, but you need the right car to drive the last 50 meters to the cabin. But everything worked out. The cabin itself is fantastic. The amenities, the view, the sauna, everything very cozy. We would happily come back. We recommend the cabin and Leon 100%!

We have already visited the accommodation/cabin for the 2nd time and, as the first time, we liked it fantastically. It is a small paradise for us, where you can spend time undisturbed and enjoy nature. No matter the weather: you have a fantastic/unique view of the fjord, which always invites you to linger. The cottage is comfortably furnished and very well maintained. And with the fireplace and the optionally bookable hot tub, we lacked nothing. We enjoyed our stay again. Tor Martin is a very helpful, reliable, and nice host who is always very easy to reach.

Linda’s place is perfection. Great location, stunning views, comfortable beds, spa-like bathroom, and well equipped with everything you could need. The private hot tub looking overlooking the water was the best part. Linda was a great host - easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again if I’m lucky enough to return to Lofoten.

An amazing, peaceful location. As Australians we had no idea how it would be to stay on an island in Norway. After a first day when we learnt it was important to allow time to get around the island to the ferry (thanks to tardy sheep), we enjoyed several days out to sightsee further afield. The house is most ideal for the wonderful views, hikes and peace of the island but, if you're willing to plan carefully, trips into the Sognfjord region are certainly possible. We are so grateful to have had such a long stay in this house: the wonderful view to the see and the mountains in the changing light and colours was so beautiful - also the natural surrounding of the house - unforgetable! The house inside is very tastfully furnished - the kitchen perfect. We could feel, that Kundan lived here - sometime ago. we had a great time staying at Melissa's home. The views from the cabin are amazing!! Everything was exactly as described.

We enjoyed the cozy cottage in a beautiful setting! Line is a very friendly host. Everything is available and everything is very tidy. There were only two of us, with six people it would be a bit tight. Too bad we could only stay one night. We would definitely go back if we come to Norway again.

We had a great stay in Hilde's cabin. Beautiful nature and wildlife, nice mountain hikes and walks on the shore. Fishing and barbecuing were also included. We will be back😊

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your place! Good communication and very helpful before and during the stay. The place is a lovely mountain cabin, worth coming back to. Unfortunately the sauna did not work BUT that was communicated beforehand. The place was in very good condition, especially considering that guests have to clean themselves as the cabin is quite remote. Will be coming back ☺️

Beautiful location - the view is even better than the photos on this listing. Easy drive from Tromsø (~2.5hrs). The house is well appointed with everything needed to cook meals and enjoy the surroundings. The sauna is spacious and heats up very quickly and the jacuzzi is a must-add (amazing view). The house is only about 15 minutes drive from town but feels remote and peaceful. A couple great day hikes are easily accessible via short & scenic drives. One especially cool feature for those visiting in June, is that, as the house is oriented looking north with an uninterrupted view along the Fjord, the midnight sun is perfectly framed on the water between the mountains when looking out from the deck - truly magical. The host helped us set up a private chef for an evening and breakfast delivery. Communication was super easy. Highly recommend a visit!

What a great cottage and a great place!! The view is breathtaking and there are very nice hiking trails to walk from the cottage. The communication is very good and the cottage is full of comforts and during the whole holiday contact with the owners is very easy. How we enjoyed 5 days Norway and we will miss the place! Thanks for all the good care!

We had the most amazing stay at Verena and Eike’s Hytta. The location was serene and peaceful, and the perfect place to get away from it all. While you have to plan ahead for ferry times and supplies, Måren is beautiful. We went hiking, swimming in the harbour and loved using the sauna. The Hytta is well equipped, and Verena and Eike gave helpful and clear instructions for everything - I hope we get to come back again!

We spent two weeks in Norway and the four nights in this beautiful home and area were the highlight of our trip. It is such a special place and this cosy home is very well equipped. Karin and Arild were delightful and responsive hosts. It was no problem to be greeted and shown around the property, even with our late arrival. The location is stunning and if you appreciate nature, views and hiking, you will be very happy here. The house itself has incredible views and the shared spaces and deck are very well set up to make the most of the location. We hiked up the mountain just down the road, explored the foreshore and used this as a great base to explore the greater area. The house was very well equipped. We even made waffles with the waffle-maker provided! Instructions and interactions with the hosts were clear and easy. I hope we can return one day. I will remember our time forever.

Oliver was onsite adn quick to fix problems. Cabin is very new and well furnished. Good view of the sea. Cabins are a little closer together than I would choose. Previous guest broke a door so access to the hot tub was difficult. Oliver let us know ahead of time and gave us the option to cancel or get a 20% discount. As a host that is about as much as he could do. When we return to Lofoten we plan to rent the cabin again.

This place is 11 out of 10!! A place of dreams. The location and house are absolutely stunning and Mette and Kristian are beyond fabulous hosts always going above and beyond! Our favorite parts of the stay: kayaking in the morning sunlight around the little inlets, fishing from the dock, a sunset sauna or hot tub followed by a fjord cold plunge/swim, relaxing on the deck with a beer, sipping coffee while watching the birds and listening to the waves lap against the dock, cooking in the well stocked kitchen and more. We will be back!!!

This was one of the nicest places we've ever been to. We loved the view of the sea, could watch oystercatchers, seagulls, eagles and otters from the sofa. We have seen moose and reindeer in the immediate vicinity. It was great! The accommodation is very thoughtful with a lot of love for detail. We will be back at any time.
