Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Northern Norway

Stein-Ove and Marita are the best possible hosts, as they do their ultimate best to make sure that their guests have a phenomenal experience, in their fabulous house, in the unique environment of Lofoten. What stands out the most, from my view, is that the guests get the real experience of real life in such remote area of the world. This was my and my wife's intention, totally fulfilled beyond expectations, and we will never forget what we saw and how we felt. The house is situated in a magnificent location, between splendid mountains and coastline, and still easily accessible via a road where there is very little traffic, which ensure total peace. We felt what it means to have a family life in Lofoten, basically the experience cannot be more authentic, truly. Needless to say, the house was spotlessly clean and had all facilities to feel at home, e.g. we could use the kitchen to have a peaceful dinner overlooking the ocean. In brief, if you want the real experience, do book this house!

Elin and Hans were friendly hosts. The location was super peaceful & close to the waterfront, the house was so beautiful and cozy, their hospitality was really warm and welcoming including fruits and drinks for us. Highly recommended!

Dear Tina, We loved „Solli“, your arctic paradise at the sea. So much space and light because of the glassfront towards the fjord. Spectacular view and best private Sauna we ever saw. Everything around the house was so easy, thanks also to the perfect information about everything there was to know you and René provided beforehand and your quick responses whenever we had a question. Even though the house is not „infant safe“ we managed pretty good travelling with a 17 month old boy, since there were no stairs inside going down and the upward ones we could block and since it was summer season no need to use the fireplace. Plenty of room to play in the living room. The kitchen was equipped perfetly. Even a bedroom with the greatest view. We stayed with 3 (and a half😉) generations and everyone loved it. Great place, location and stay.

Perfect accommodation at a good price. It was so nice that you would gladly go back to the house again. We had nice evenings so both patios were used.

Pretty little house with a great river view. The kitchen was well-equipped and the sauna was pampering the long-distance traveler ❤️

The accommodation is very comfortable, with a beautiful view of Torsken harbor and the mountains. It is located right next to a grocery store and a very good restaurant is about 500 meters away. From the accommodation, we did the Midtertinden hike and nearby we did Sukkertoppen, Middagstind and Smatindan. There are also many other hikes a little further away.

Per was an exceptional host! Out of 100 stays, he is by far the best host we have had. Per made sure everything was perfect for the stay. The kids loved the snow on the farm and Per sorted out a sledding hill for them along with all the bits and bobs needed to enjoy the cold weather. He went above and beyond and I am grateful for the hospitality and love that he showed myself, wife, and three kids. Thank you!

It was cozy, spacious and comfortable! It was nice to cook with beautiful tableware and various cooking utensils. The view outside the window was so beautiful!

Nusfjord is a beautiful location. We used it as a base to do several hikes around the island. The house itself is easy to find. Anne Lise was quick to respond. Instructions were clear and check in and out easy. Kitchen stands out in completeness, also the bathroom and shower are a definite plus. Would most definitely recommend!!!

Robert welcomed us personally and in a very friendly way. The apartment is very spacious and extremely cozy and also suitable for a longer stay. We felt comfortable right away. Very centrally located. There are no wishes left unfulfilled

We have been lucky to have traveled to a number of Airbnbs around the world; this one is outstanding. The view is stunning, the space is ample and lovely, hosts are gracious, couches and beds comfortable. We loved hiking and exploring the area, and also resting and recuperating in this amazing apartment. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Great stay excellent communication

Timo's house is located directly on the lake 20 meters from the Ylläs swing. The cross-country ski trail starts right in front of the house. Äkäslompolo is a cross-country paradise, for beginners and also ambitious cross-country skiers, excellent preparation of the trails - a paradise! Timo's house offers everything: Location, amenities, sauna, shower, 2 toilets, covered parking, even the wood for the fireplace with large window is ready, it leaves nothing to be desired. Just great! We'll go back!

Kvalöya Lodge is one of the nicest places we've ever had and Ketil is the nicest and most caring host you can imagine. We especially enjoyed the view of the fjord, the evening fireplace, the northern lights and Ketil's tips (Husky tour with Active Tromsö, reindeer herds (they like carrots by the way), Sommaröy, Eidel Handel (great supermarket for self-catering), Söstrene Kafé in Tromsvik). We ended up with a lot of snow - fortunately the country road is well cleared 24/7. Snowshoes and spikes are at guests' disposal.

We spent 10 days in this beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. The magnificent lake closeby, the remoteness and still having Pello and Rovaniemi at a good driving distance, the quietness and every morning that lovely view from all of the windows, the sauna, the crisp morning air, ....we look back at a fantastic time : we fell in love with Pello-Lappi. Thank you Aini and Risto and Hanna, for letting us spend time on your property ; it was a privilege. Thank you for the personal stories you shared, for your kindness, your friendlyness. We would love to be back and see the place in an other season.

Amazing. Just amazing. One of the best we have ever stayed in.

We liked the terrace best, where we could enjoy the sun, the absolute tranquility and the view of the river. Even in rainy weather, it was very pleasant inside - with a sauna and large windows to look out. We felt very comfortable.

We had a great time at David's with a very friendly welcome from David's mom. The setting is beautiful with a lake view and a superb and protected landscape. The accommodation was very comfortable and well arranged. We highly recommend it!
