Cottage vacation rentals in Northern Norway

The cabin was so nice! It was really clean, spacious, had lots of board games, and provided for a really fun holiday. The walk to the slopes was pretty quick (around 10 minutes) and the sauna was amazing for after a long day on the slopes. Also the loft is really cute and cozy! Definitely would recommend this cabin to my friends and family. And if I come back to ski some more, I’d definitely try to book this cabin again!

Incredible surroundings. We were fortunate to have a crisp clear night when the Aurora appeared above the house. We also had lots of snow which was great fun for walking, sledging and playing. The hot tub is a wonderful indulgence.

We arrived late at night after a 4 hour drive from Narvik. The next day Cato showed me how to fill and heat the hottub and even took it upon himself to get it up to temp while we were out grocery shopping. That night we enjoyed gazing at the aurora borealis dancing above our heads in the hottub. A couple days later it got rainy and extremely windy preventing us from heating the hottub. As compensation Cato offered us use of his sauna and to take a swim in the sea, which we gladly did. He also gave us a whole cod for free from his fisherman's friend Tom which we used to make typical Norwegian dishes. Cato was extremely helpful and kind, he replied within minutes whenever we needed help or had any questions and he was full of amazing recommendations, as to where to hike and which towns and restaurants to visit. Towards the end of our stay it snowed a lot turning the surroundings into winter wonderland. We were very lucky to see all sides of Norway including the Northern lights!

What a wonderful house in a perfect peaceful location great for exploring Andøya.

The cottage is exactly as described and set in beautiful surroundings. The grilling hut and sauna are great additions and really add to the experience, whilst the location allows for peaceful walks and an opportunity to see the northern lights when down by the frozen sea! Would definitely recommend

We would book the place again anytime. The hot tub was the highlight and super heated.

Very cozy and nicely furnished cabin with everything you need. Very clean. Location very quiet and beautifully located in the forest. Also within walking distance from Levi. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Magic place and cottage, Annele are a super host!

We spent our honeymoon in this beautiful cottage. Marja was always responsive, whether before the trip for preparation or during the stay. She recommended many places to us and we were never disappointed! As for the cottage, it is perfect, comfortable and functional (apart from the absence of a shower). It is well arranged and the nature around is magical. The listing photos are good but the cottage is even better in real life! It was a really wonderful week that will have marked us forever.

We had a great stay at Christina's place. Cozy, clean and welcoming. Great location close to the motorway, but far enough to be very peaceful in nature. I would definitely book again!

Jorun has had many guests in her house on Sommaroy. Like all guests before us, I can only confirm from the heart what a great hostess Jorun is and how comfortable we felt in her house from beginning to end!!!!! Even when arriving, the weather was anything but smooth, she was there for us with help and advice, thank you very much for that;) We will definitely come back again, on the one hand to enjoy Jorun's hospitality again and on the other hand to get a second chance to see the aurora lights, which unfortunately was not the case this time. All I will say is wow!!! Everything we were hoping for and more, jenny has a little gem of a home and spectacular grounds on a reindeer farm. Jenny went above and beyond with information and help for us and we are so grateful as a family to her and her family for helping us create some ever lasting memories. Would be a dream to return xx

Sanna was a great host and responds very quickly to enquiries. The accommodation was near to the main family area of the ski slopes. The accomodation was homely and very cosy. The clothes drier and sauna are a great bonus. We were pleased to have stayed in the valley in comparison to the main village. The valley is very quiet and had the lapland magic of cosy cabins (like this one) amongst snow covered spruce and pine, whilst still only being a gondola ride or short drive away from the restaurants and buzz of the village. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely cozy old small cottage house, immediately felt like home <3 A little squank so vertigo on the first evening but it passed the next day. Went for daily morning swims in the sea, baked bread and skiid mountains. Perfect peaceful location on Kvaloya. Especially lovely snd functional kitchen, even had a smoothie blender and beautiful bowls. The road to the house tends to be undrivable if it snows and slushes but it worked great to arrange snow clearing directly with Siv’s brother Gaute who lives nearby (because if you park near the main road, then nobody can clear the snow). Ha det bra och tusen tack för allt!

Recent wagon, so it's in really tidy condition. Very thorough instructions on everything. The sauna heated up well and gave a good steam. All the essentials. Centrally located in the middle of the island.

We are driving with 6 girls in Ritva's cabin and we had the time of our life everything was perfect. Ritva was always super accessible and gave us beautiful tips to explore the area. Even when we had a problem with our rental car, she helped to find a garage. This place was a 10 out of 10 when we arrived everything was totally cozily lit and chubby warm. If we go to Lapland again, we'll go back to this cabin. Thank you very much Ritva for everything. You're great ❤️

We stayed for a week, two adults and two children. The place is beautiful immersed in nature on the banks of the great river. The cabin matches the description, with many kitchen accessories, we found the accommodation tidy and very clean, the temperature in an optimal cabin, Tuija was very helpful and thoughtful, she provided us with precise directions, a quiet presence, but always present and available, it was a pleasure to meet you. We were lucky enough to see the Northern lights several times, and also from inside the cabin thanks to the large windows. We'd love to come back, maybe in the summer to see the nice river flowing.

The house is amazing and had everything we needed to feel at home. Very cozy and clean, beautiful location and very quite in the middle of nature, close to beautiful national parks and loads to do. We had such a nice stay and highly recommend the place. And Francine is a great host who helped a lot with many nice recommendations.

Tor is the best host because he us thoughtful, helpful, and caring. Our family loved our snow days in his home because it was warm, cozy, and felt like home. Tor provided some fish he caught from the fjord for us to have and it was wonderful. This is the best overall stay my family has had in 4 international vacations. We hope to return for summer. We all slept so well in the cozy beds. The views were unbelievable. We enjoyed playing cards and chess. Kitchen is very well stocked and grocery store is 10 minutes away. HIGHLY recommend Tor and his summer home.

A clean and cozy little cottage, the vibe is different from a dozen ski resorts apartments. Great location for skiing and hiking. We found everything we needed in the cabin!

Amazing stay. Everything is super clean, very cozy and Eija was an amazing host, always responsive and helpful. This was one of the most beautiful, well-taken care of and authentic Airbnb experiences I ever had. I would recommend this to anyone without any hesitation.

You can feel at home in Per's cottage. The living room area where you can relax and drink in front of the fire while listening to classical music. The dining room and kitchen overlook the fjord, which is a few hundred meters away, offering a beautiful landscape.
