Guesthouse vacation rentals in Northern Norway

We really enjoyed our stay in Marita’s house! The house was stunning, comfortable and very well equiped. Even if we arrived very late in the evening, Marita took the time to give us a lot of informations regarding the house and the activities around. She even shown us northern lights just after checking in! The kids had a lot of fun with the sledges provided. The farm visit was a great moment and we had the chance to learn a lot about the reindeers. The possibility to rent nordic skis was also really appreciated.

Lisbeth is a wonderful host. Warm and welcoming, and she was helpful in guiding me on my cycling route. The breakfast was delicious and customized for my tastes. The setting is great, for either sitting on the porch or hiking up a mountain.

Very cosy. Way bigger than the images say. Layout: Small hallway. Left: bathroom. Straight: bedroom (officially living room) w/ narrow bed, (probably extendable) couch, TV, a table and chairs. Right: Kitchen = eating room. Equipment is basic, but well maintained w/ all essentials. There's a sitting sofa and four chairs around an extendable table. Through the kitchen, you reach the second sleeping room with a double bed and two armchairs. The only downsides are that this second sleeping room has a curtain instead of a door and that there could be a bit more storage space in both bedrooms. Sauna is in second building, very nice, very clean, wood fired. Host explains how to do it. All in all, it is definitely suitable for two couples getting along well. However, be warned: Getting around, also shopping, is very difficult without a car. Arrival and departure by public transport is feasible, but we'll suggest at least a rental car during the stay.

The place was nice. We enjoyed staying at the location. We were able to see northern lights from the stay itself.

We had a time at Malin's house on stilts, in a very pleasant setting in the middle of the fjord to the sound of the waves lapping. Well-appointed interior with all the useful amenities. We highly recommend it.

It has been a pleasure to stay in your cabin. It's in a winter paradise, with amazing views. We had a perfect time and were able to see the famous Northern Lights, it was an experience we will never forget. Thank you for everything to Jana and Uffe, but also thank your son Viking who was attentive to our needs.

A small cabin perfect for a quiet stay and close to nature and tourist attractions. A little paradise... The northern lights, the sun, the walks, the Icehotel, the sled dogs... What more could you ask for. Ida-Marie is very helpful, while being discreet. I loved my 7-night stay. Thank you!

Stayed here for one night on our way up to the Arctic Circle and could not have asked for a better place to stay.

We stayed with Katja and Stephan for 10 days in March. The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos and descriptions: super cute and cozy. What you can't see in the photos: the kitchen has a great induction stove and is super equipped (including toaster and French press!!). The communication with the two was quick and uncomplicated. We also got a lot of tips for the area, you can also rent snowshoes/cross-country skis etc. there. When we had a great evening with northern lights, Katja even lent us her tripod for photography! top: in Vidsel (less than 10 min. by car) there is a small supermarket that has almost everything you need.

Heidi's place is wonderful! It's cozy, there is everything you need and the view from the top of the hill is amazing. You can feel close to nature while still having all the comfort.

Lovely house, stayed one night before moving on to Levi. Kids (4 and 7) loved the ladder to the stairs in the loft. Even lucky enough to see the northern lights overhead.

Mette is a great host that cares about you. Thanks for the great conversations, apple mash and that I got to sit at the store.

Cozy and pleasant accommodation located in a quiet area of Tromsdalen, equipped with all the amenities referred to in the description, The center is easily reachable in minutes by bus. Positive experience. 😀

Our stay was perfect ! The location is amazing, the host very welcoming. Everything was really great !

We arrived very late at night, but were still greeted by a nice and very welcoming host. The place was new and stylishly decorated. A true pleasure to wake up with the lovely view from the bed. We incredibly appreciated the cold beer from local brewery that we found in the fridge.

Lovely place! Beautiful, brand new and squeaky clean sauna room in private privacy. A place for the car, too. The perfect steam in the sauna. Communicating with the host was easy and seamless. My top recommendations! And thanks for letting us stay.

A very functional home on the way north and back. Excellent location in a quiet area. The apartment was very clean and cozy, there was plenty of room for three people.

I had a wonderfull stay in the Airbnb. The host is very friendly and welcoming. We were able to check in 3 hours before check-in time which allowed us to drop off our Luggage and explore the city and neighborhood in a comfortable manner. The location of the Airbnb is perfect and easily reachable with the public transport or even by walk. The area is beautiful and calm. On top of that, the Airbnb was very clean! Would recommend staying at this Airbnb!

Very beautiful large house. Very well. Floors get hot. Outdoor hot tub is just amazing, great experience. A gorgeous view of the sea and the mountains. It's nice to explore the area no more than 3 nights. Sleeps 4 even though there are 6 beds. Single beds connecting. No wardrobes in the two rooms on the second floor. We were a family couple and two children and used one room as a wardrobe and luggage room. No restaurants around. Must buy food and cook at home. There are parkings 10 minutes drive with darkness (to direction Tromsø) to see the Northern lights.

There were four of us in Lapland for the 2nd time as a family. We felt so good at Marlene's place. She has a beautiful yard with a great ambiance. The breakfast was very good. We will definitely be going to Marlene again.

Cozy, well maintained house in a bit isolate, calm area. We couldn't use the outside patio because it was too cold and everything was covered by snow, but enjoyed relaxing with fireplace in the living room. Can see Russia from the window. Saw a reindeer while walking around in the afternoon. Northern light at night.

We were on site for a week and felt very comfortable right from the beginning. The place is small but nice! The sauna is great if you come out of the cold. Janne gave us good tips for our hikes and even showed us reindeer. It's all within walking distance. You are very central, but still have the feeling of being in the forest. The small kitchen was completely sufficient for us to prepare our breakfast or heat something with you. Tour providers (e.g. for snowmobiling) right around the corner.
