Cottage vacation rentals in Northern Norway

The cabin was so nice! It was really clean, spacious, had lots of board games, and provided for a really fun holiday. The walk to the slopes was pretty quick (around 10 minutes) and the sauna was amazing for after a long day on the slopes. Also the loft is really cute and cozy! Definitely would recommend this cabin to my friends and family. And if I come back to ski some more, I’d definitely try to book this cabin again!

Incredible surroundings. We were fortunate to have a crisp clear night when the Aurora appeared above the house. We also had lots of snow which was great fun for walking, sledging and playing. The hot tub is a wonderful indulgence.

We arrived late at night after a 4 hour drive from Narvik. The next day Cato showed me how to fill and heat the hottub and even took it upon himself to get it up to temp while we were out grocery shopping. That night we enjoyed gazing at the aurora borealis dancing above our heads in the hottub. A couple days later it got rainy and extremely windy preventing us from heating the hottub. As compensation Cato offered us use of his sauna and to take a swim in the sea, which we gladly did. He also gave us a whole cod for free from his fisherman's friend Tom which we used to make typical Norwegian dishes. Cato was extremely helpful and kind, he replied within minutes whenever we needed help or had any questions and he was full of amazing recommendations, as to where to hike and which towns and restaurants to visit. Towards the end of our stay it snowed a lot turning the surroundings into winter wonderland. We were very lucky to see all sides of Norway including the Northern lights!

What a wonderful house in a perfect peaceful location great for exploring Andøya.

The cottage is exactly as described and set in beautiful surroundings. The grilling hut and sauna are great additions and really add to the experience, whilst the location allows for peaceful walks and an opportunity to see the northern lights when down by the frozen sea! Would definitely recommend

Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen. Der Whirlpool war das Highlight und super beheizt.

Sehr gemütlich und schön eingerichtete Blockhütte mit allem was man braucht. Sehr sauber. Lage sehr ruhig und wunderschön im Wald gelegen. Von Levi auch gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen.

Meillä oli ihana hiihtoloma Ylläksellä, ja mökki toimi oikein hyvin meidän tarpeisiin.

Nous avons passé notre lune de miel dans ce beau chalet. Marja a toujours été réactive que ce soit en amont du voyage pour la préparation ou pendant le sejour. Elle nous as conseillé de nombreux endroits et nous n'avons jamais été déçues ! Quand au chalet il est parfait, confortable et fonctionnel (mise à part l'absence d'une douche). Il est bien agencé et la nature autour est magique. Les photos de l'annonce sont bien mais le chalet est encore mieux en vrai ! C'était vraiment une très belle semaine qui nous aura marqué pour toujours

We had a great stay at Christina's place. Cozy, clean and welcoming. Great location close to the motorway, but far enough to be very peaceful in nature. I would definitely book again!

Jorun hatte schon viele Gäste in ihrem Haus auf Sommaroy. Wie alle Gäste vor uns auch,kann ich nur von Herzen bestätigen was für eine tolle Gastgeberin Jorun ist und wie wohl wir uns von Anfang bis Ende in ihrem Haus gefühlt haben!!!!! Auch bei einer Anreise die wetterbedingt alles andere als glatt verlaufen ist ,stand sie uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, vielen Dank dafür;) Wir werden bestimmt noch einmal wiederkommen, zum einen um Joruns Gastfreundschaft noch einmal zu genießen und zum anderen um eine zweite Chance zu bekommen die Polarlichter doch noch sehen zu können, was dieses mal leider nicht der Fall war. All I will say is wow!!! Everything we were hoping for and more, jenny has a little gem of a home and spectacular grounds on a reindeer farm. Jenny went above and beyond with information and help for us and we are so grateful as a family to her and her family for helping us create some ever lasting memories. Would be a dream to return xx

Sanna was a great host and responds very quickly to enquiries. The accommodation was near to the main family area of the ski slopes. The accomodation was homely and very cosy. The clothes drier and sauna are a great bonus. We were pleased to have stayed in the valley in comparison to the main village. The valley is very quiet and had the lapland magic of cosy cabins (like this one) amongst snow covered spruce and pine, whilst still only being a gondola ride or short drive away from the restaurants and buzz of the village. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely cozy old small cottage house, immediately felt like home <3 A little squank so vertigo on the first evening but it passed the next day. Went for daily morning swims in the sea, baked bread and skiid mountains. Perfect peaceful location on Kvaloya. Especially lovely snd functional kitchen, even had a smoothie blender and beautiful bowls. The road to the house tends to be undrivable if it snows and slushes but it worked great to arrange snow clearing directly with Siv’s brother Gaute who lives nearby (because if you park near the main road, then nobody can clear the snow). Ha det bra och tusen tack för allt!

Uudehko vaunu joten todella siistissä kunnossa. Hyvin perusteelliset ohjeet kaikesta. Sauna lämpesi hyvin ja antoi hyvät löylyt. Kaikki oleelliset varusteet. Keskeisellä sijainnilla saaren keskivaiheilla.

Wir fahren mit 6 Mädels in Ritvas Hütte und wir hatten die Zeit unseres Lebens alles war perfekt. Ritva war immer super erreichbar und hat uns schöne Tipps gegeben die Umgebung zu erkunden. auch als wir ein Problem mit unserem Leihauto hatten hat sie geholfen eine Werkstatt zu finden. Diese Unterkunft war eine 10 von 10. Bei unserer Ankunft war alles total gemütlich beleuchtet und mollig warm. Falls wir noch mal nach Lappland fahren dann wieder in diese Hütte. Vielen lieben Dank Ritva für alles. Du bist toll ❤️

Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana, due adulti e due bambini. Il posto è stupendo immerso nella natura sulle rive del grande fiume. La baita corrisponde alla descrizione, con molti accessori per la cucina, abbiamo trovato l' alloggio ordinato e pulitissimo, temperatura in baita ottimale ,Tuija molto disponibile e premurosa, ci ha fornito indicazione precise, Matti presenza silenziosa, ma sempre presente e disponibile, è stato un piacere fare la sua conoscenza. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di vedere l' aurora boreale più volte, e anche dall'interno della baita grazie alle grandi finestre. Ci piacerebbe molto ritornare, magari in estate per vedere il grade fiume scorrere.

The house is amazing and had everything we needed to feel at home. Very cozy and clean, beautiful location and very quite in the middle of nature, close to beautiful national parks and loads to do. We had such a nice stay and highly recommend the place. And Francine is a great host who helped a lot with many nice recommendations.

Tor is the best host because he us thoughtful, helpful, and caring. Our family loved our snow days in his home because it was warm, cozy, and felt like home. Tor provided some fish he caught from the fjord for us to have and it was wonderful. This is the best overall stay my family has had in 4 international vacations. We hope to return for summer. We all slept so well in the cozy beds. The views were unbelievable. We enjoyed playing cards and chess. Kitchen is very well stocked and grocery store is 10 minutes away. HIGHLY recommend Tor and his summer home.

Siisti ja kodikas pieni mökki, tunnelma ihan erilainen kuin laskettelukeskusten tusina-huoneistoissa. Loistava sijainti hiihtämistä ja patikointia ajatellen. Mökistä löytyi kaikki tarpeellinen!

Das Cottage von Eija ist super gemütlich, sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet (v.a. die Küche). Wir haben uns ab der ersten Sekunde sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Highlights war der Kamin und die Sauna, die sehr zur gemütlichen Atmosphäre beigetragen haben. Neben dem tadellosen Cottage sind auch Eija und Mikko als Gastgeber mehr als empfehlenswert! So liebe Menschen, die uns bei unserem Aufenthalt sehr unterstützt haben: vorab hat uns Eija schon mit Empfehlungen für die Gegend versorgt, wir konnten mit ihrem Mann eine Schneemobiltour machen und Eija hat uns auf der Jagd nach Polarlichtern sehr unterstützt und uns immer mit Infos versorgt. Unser Urlaub in Eijas Cottage war rundum perfekt!

Nel cottage di Per ci si sente a casa. Molto bella e particolare la zona del soggiorno dove ci si può rilassare bevendo qualcosa davanti al fuoco ascoltando musica classica. La sala da pranzo e la cucina si affacciano sul fiordo che dista qualche centinaio di metri offrendo un paesaggio splendido.
