Vacation rentals with lake access in Northern New Mexico

Absolutely loved the house! The place was clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the property itself was so peaceful and serene. One tip though if you stay here. Make sure your vehicle has some ground clearance. I almost rented a sports car and I think it would have been very difficult if not impossible to get up and down the driveway. We had a jeep so it was no issue at all but just something to keep in mind. Would happily stay here again!

This home is in a lovely relatively secluded location with stunning views. There was nearby access to the lake, and a canoe and kayak, the former of which we had fun using. (Of note, it's a fairly long and somewhat steep walk down to the water, so you essentially need a pickup truck to take the canoe down to the launch site). We took advantage of having a fireplace in both the bedroom and living room, which was lovely. There's also a fire pit, which is great. There's some kindling and firewood supplied, but it's probably good to bring some of your own, just in case supplies are low. Salina's responsiveness to our needs was amazing. When we had a problem with the hut tub, she showed up the next day with a technician to get it fixed right away. She was simply great on every level. Overall we enjoyed our stay, felt very well taken care of, and reveled in the amazing views and setting.

Our nearly week-long family gathering in Abiquiu at Aimee's comfortable desert homes, Raven and Hawk, was a super experience, unsurpassed in offering something for everyone to enjoy. The grandkids (and adults alike) found endless ways to engage outdoors with nature: rearranging the landscape of river rocks in the nearby dry wash, sampling the desert shrubs' aromas, or just contemplating the vistas. We all slept soundly, and awakened to splendid days and astonishing views of the surrounding mountains. Especially El Pedernal, a perfect position from which to observe its changing silhouette, one of O'Keeffe's favorite subjects. The host's beautiful (and otherwise silent) dogs would occasionally erupt in a great chorus of howling, only amplifying this special place's magical ambiance.

As with other reviewers, I cannot overstate how the pictures don’t do this place justice. The location is simply amazing. It is so quiet and peaceful. This place is the perfect place for a vacation to unplug. You can do easy relaxing walks or moderately difficult hikes right out the door. No traveling to trails required, they are right there. You are far enough from “civilization” that you can’t hear anything but nature, but close enough to still make a short drive to a cafe or store if needed. We got groceries in Santa Fe and brought them to the house with us. Once we were up there, we never wanted to leave! The scenery, the sunsets, the sunrises…everything was picturesque. And, Tani was a super responsive host and provided great directions to the house and check-in steps. Definite 5 star place and host.

This was my third time staying at Carol's place and as always it was a pleasure. It's clean, quiet, spacious and in a lovely and peaceful spot from which to explore all the riches of Abiquiu. Will definitely be back.

Myself, my husband, our 2 dogs & my parents rented this location. It was very peaceful with gorgeous views. The hottub was great after a super long day of driving! Wish we could have had time to use it more than once! Lorena, the housekeeper, and another person were very quick to respond to any of our questions/concerns. The housekeeper was quick to address a couple items the next morning while we were out for the day. The home is beautifully/minimally decorated with an open concept. It was very easy to get to the home and we always felt secure! We went at the perfect time of year and never had to use heat/AC. LOVED that they had recycling & a fenced yard for our pups. We were mostly out and about around town/national parks, so we didn't get to spend much time using the amenities. Would recommend to a family or couple wanting a more private, scenic stay. We were located no more than 15 minutes from the local shops/restaurants. Lots of wildlife! Thank you for having us!!

Roberta was great and worked with us. First time visiting Chama, Los Ojos, Tierra Amarilla . My dad's been talking about the place for over 20 years and finally got to visit. Beautiful place. views were incredible. my only recommendation is checking and calling ahead dof tune to see what's open. We were not in the "know" Most restaurants, boating excursions and even Public Campgrounds so call in advance. l. Luckily we went for one day and weren't expecting much. Will return and to this location when the opportunity arises.

I loved staying here. It is very spacious, with comfortable furnishings, a nice view, and an especially nice bathtub. It’s extremely quiet at night. The stars can be seen vividly at night. Anastacia is a wonderful host, and checked in with me regularly. I would love to go back.

Overall great experience. Beautiful location, really quiet, safe and peaceful neighborhood. Had a minor maintenance issue that they had someone out right away and he was so nice and helpful and fixed it. They made sure that we had an amazing stay!

Robert and Linda's home was beautiful and cozy! It was easy to get to town quickly, but also still far enough away to be private and peaceful. We were lucky that Robert and Linda love Trinidad! They gave us some recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. We can't wait to come back!
