Cottage vacation rentals in Northern New Mexico

We enjoyed the house and all that was in it. The only issue for us was the cold temperatures. The temps were too cold for the heaters in the house to keep up with, so we wore jackets most of the time in the house. (It was one of the coldest days of the year.) There was plenty of bedding and we did ok. We would love to stay in warmer weather especially maybe the spring or fall.

Perfect for my husband and I to get away and have some peace and quiet. We will visit again!

Amazing cabin! From the moment you drive up, it feels dreamy and quiet. The inside was decorated beautifully, yet still felt super homey. The hosts have done a lovely job at making this place welcoming its tiny touches of care all throughout the cabin. It was clean, cozy, and the views are incredible. Loved how open everything felt with the windows to look out at the incredible views! Will come back next time we go to Angel Fire for sure!

We loved our stay at Lewis & 4th. It was a great location and enough room for our group. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else when returning to Pagosa Springs.

This little place is a real gem in a remote and unique spot. Very cozy and a great place to come back to after chasing the stars in one of the great stargazing areas of the west. The hosts are great as well.

Great communication with the host. John was awesome with the fishing reports. The cabin was perfect!!

I am doing a tour of the Western ski mountains this winter and this little Adobe house was my favorite place to stay. It was an easy drive up the mountain to Taos, while at the same time a beautiful respite down in the valley. The views are amazing And the little house was as cozy as could be. The interior with the tree limb ceiling was so beautiful. I can’t recommend this place enough.

This super-clean and comfortable, tiny home is extremely well-maintained and centrally located to the local attractions, retail areas, urgent cares, pharmacies, museums, cultural areas, parks, and more. Take day-trips from Santa Fe to Albuquerque, Taos, Historic Route 66, National Monuments, scenic byways, and MORE. Afterwards, return to the comforts of having an immaculate kitchen and bathroom, grill, patio, and private parking space. We will return to John’s tiny home again and use the location as a pivot point for our leisurely explorations of the immediate areas and beyond.

Beautiful place! It was so fun being on a working tree farm and the farm fresh eggs from their chickens was a treat. Everyone there was so friendly and the setting is beautiful !! We will definitely be back and highly recommend it !

I had a wonderful one-night stay—perfect location close to great restaurants and shops! Amberley provided super clear and thorough instructions for finding and accessing the property, which made everything easy and stress-free. The space itself was absolutely charming, with the cutest decor and thoughtful touches featuring local products. I also appreciated all the personalized recommendations. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We had a wonderful time at Hongmei’s place while visiting Colorado! The dogs enjoyed the big, fully fenced yard and the neighborhood was nice and quiet.

I had the best stay at Michelle’s casita. It was one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever been and I loved being able to walk out onto the porch and feel the sun in the morning. It also felt a lot more spacious and expansive than I was expecting and it was sparkling clean. I got to meet Michelle briefly and she was incredibly sweet and warm. I felt right at home here and I hope to return soon!

Nice quiet place to stay. Can see the lake from the porch. Had everything we needed and was very clean. Lots of parking and room for a boat.

We were in Sanford for a family funeral. We would have never thought there would be an Air B&B in Sanford but here it was. To Have a full house vs a hotel room is so nice and needed. We had space to convene if needed, space to relax, full kitchen for needed. We did not use the laundry but for a longer stay it is needed and nice to have. We needed some flexibility and Lucas was very willing to allow that. Very responsive and kind in meeting our needs.

Michelle's Cottage was so lovely. The kitchen area was small but neat and had everything you could possibly want to make a delicious meal for your family. There is a lovely Canal to walk next to behind Michelle's property. The town of Cortez is not far away and has everything you could possibly need. I would definitely come here again, it was a perfect vacation spot.

What an amazing place! Sandra and John’s casita is beautiful, quiet, utterly comfortable and well equipped. We felt right at home immediately. The location was perfect for us as we were looking for something “off the beaten path”. The village of Arroyo Seco is charming and had some of the best food offerings we experienced. The casita is close to Taos, and about 90 minutes from Santa Fe. Sandy and John are the BEST! So welcoming and friendly. We can’t wait to come back!

This is the 4th or 5th time I've stayed at Casa Javelina, a short visit compared to the weeks I've stayed there earlier. Magdalena is not exactly a thriving metropolis - which is why I, a former NYer, go there to unwind. Omar's place is well stocked, quiet, and comfortable, the best Airbnb I've found, not because it's fancy but bc it's a home away from home. With 2BR, it's ideal for 1-4 people (we were 3). Shower is outstanding. I'll keep coming back as long as Omar runs the place.

Our stay at Kristie’s was just perfect. Quiet, peaceful, away from town, beautiful sunlight pouring into kitchen in the morning, and Kristie and Scott were always responsive to questions if needed. Would definitely book again! My Companion and I were in Durango for some motorcycle and mountain biking. The parking in front of the Airbnb was large enough to park my SUV and small 10 foot box trailer; which was very convenient and helpful! The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for us. Full kitchen with most of the utensils and items you might need., including dishwasher, stove, microwave, and coffee is via a Keurig machine which was easy and convenient. There is also a gas grill out back which we used a few times and it worked great. Wifi is consistent, albeit a little slow if you are used to very high speeds. I also ordered a few things off of Amazon, and Kristie generously provided the shipping address, so it was no problem getting a package delivered if needed. Recommend!!

This is a very rustic, quaint place, and private behind a tall wooden fence, good parking space. Beautiful garden area I imagine in the spring and summer. The house is old and many things have been upgraded to accommodate modern times. Great hot water, furnace though loud, keeps things toasty. Everything worked in the kitchen. Nice big, comfortable bed and TV is in the bedroom. Living room chairs and dining table available but the only couch is in a glassed in porch out back. Very pleasant, but not heated in winter. This is very convenient to Cortez downtown, very walkable to restaurants, etc. Enjoyed my stay and the convenience of it being in walking distance of relatives.

This beautiful, comfortable and safe space provided the perfect place for my month long stay in Santa Fe. It had everything I needed for exploring the area and for staying connected to personal and business commitments. The kiva fireplace makes it cozy just to stay in and relax for the day. Nice patio and sitting area to view sunsets. The listing is a great description of what you will enjoy here. Chris and Marie are great communicators and very accommodating. I would recommend this casita to anyone visiting Santa Fe.
