The Granary

HannahRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a fantastic weekend staying here to celebrate my best friend. The house is gorgeous with so much space! The photos do not do it justice! There was a lovely pool and hot tub. Sarah came by to make sure we’d settled in and was available if we needed anything. We’d even got a later check out which was a great bonus. Everyone had a great time! I will definitely recommend booking The Granary! I would love to come back for another trip. Sarah had also left us a bottle of Prosecco to welcome us which was a lovely touch we appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
A cozy bed is positioned against a textured stone-patterned wall. Soft lighting from wall-mounted sconces creates a gentle glow around decorative pillows in shades of purple and blue. A bedside lamp adds warmth to the setting, enhancing the restful ambiance of the space.

Relax at the edge of a loch, near Edinburgh

Mary LouiseRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
What a beautiful place to stay for a family visit to Edinburgh. This 5 bed house sits right next to a loch but is also only 10 minutes from 2 supermarkets and numerous take aways and restaurants. A 30 minute drive into Edinburgh was manageable and straightforward also. The owners, Theresa and David live next door and were friendly and helpful. I could not fault this stay at all, it was just what we wanted. Thank you so much, Theresa and David.
The exterior of the cottage features a blend of stone and light-colored walls, framed by partially obscured greenery. A unique woven sculpture is positioned in the yard, along with a gravel pathway leading to a blue wooden gate.

SavithaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Scots place was beautiful. Lots to do inside and outside. Kids had lot of fun as there were toys scooter and bike. There was colouring books and pens card games kids did not get enough time as we only booked for one night. Scott was kind and he extended our check out. Kids made the most out of it. Not far away from Edinburgh castle which was our holiday plans to explore Edinburgh city. Clean kitchen and toilet and shower. We had everything we needed in the caravan. Thanks Scott for making the one night stay comfortable. You are a star

Beautiful Award-Winning Rural Home

LiamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A brilliant home to spend time in. Very spacious, comfortable and homely living space with a strong connection to the outdoors. Kitchen, bathrooms, living room and bedrooms had all the essential amenities, appliances, furniture and equipment to have an enjoyable stay. Some lovely extras (butter, bread, homemade marmalade, tray bakes) also provided. Seb is a great host: good communicator, friendly, and accommodating. Nice area. Close to the vibrancy of Edinburgh, but also tucked away in among quiet/peaceful countryside and quaint villages

The apartment is exactly how it is listed, Cataldo is an excellent host, very responsive (even at odd hours) and friendly. The instructions to find the lockbox and apartment were clear and super helpful. The lake next to the apartment gave us a nice serene view during our morning walks. 20mins away from the city centre, plenty of buses running!! Certainly recommend this place.

Harbour Hill Cottage

AlisonRating, 5 starstoday
What a beautiful spot! Very quiet. We all slept very well! Wish we could have stayed longer to appreciate the beautiful surroundings. It is a little remote so if you don’t have a car (which we didn’t) may end up being a little expensive going in and out of Edinburgh, but we always got an Uber when we wanted one. Perfect for walkers and cyclists. Wish we had time to explore the area more. We may be back! Thanks, Kerry!

Red Squirrel cottage with log burner and garden.

JennyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We came to the area to visit family in nearby Biggar and thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Edward’s cottage. It was well laid out, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had all we needed. We were delighted with our Red squirrel neighbours who visited regularly. Our 9 yr old took the job of refilling the feeders very seriously. We had mixed weather but still managed to make good use of the large enclosed rear garden and outside dining area. The scenery is breathtaking and there are lots of birds to see /listen out for. We’d have loved to have spent longer exploring but sadly our aging Border collie isn’t up to long walks anymore. Having said that he/we still enjoyed 3-4 mile walks and runs up and down the valley from the cottage.

Coach House on Beautiful Country Estate

AnandRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The place is amazing .. surrounding is surreal. We had a great time. Major super markets / stores are 15 mins drive. But that is ok... we chose for it. We chose to be away from Edinburgh. This place is 35/40 mins beautiful drive from Edinburgh. The estate in which this place is situated is beautiful. The owner allowed us to roam around and explore. If you are countryside fan, you would love it.

The Hayloft on a Beautiful Country Estate

AudreyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We stayed 5 nights the end of May when all the flowering shrubs were in bloom. Its was truly a beautiful scene. We liked the quiet nature for walks on the property. We did some cycling trips from there also using the local train and cycle shop rental. The kitchen was great though we didn’t cook much. The local golf course had great food(vegan too) so we ate there several times. Everyone was so friendly in West Calder. We enjoyed a cosey fire one night. Nicola was very friendly, quick to respond for small stuff she rectified. I would love to return.

Dundas Castle Boathouse

DuwayneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We thoroughly enjoyed the Boathouse. It was relaxing and beautiful. Swans, ducks, and geese (even baby swans) greeted us on the first morning. A long walk around the grounds in the evening provided stunning views of Dundas Castle. That walk is a must! Everything is set amongst lush green and beautiful flowering rhododendrons. The cabin is just right for two- cozy and private with beautiful views.
