Fiona and her home are incredible! The room is the perfect oasis and the bed is super comfortable and an actual large king size bed. The house is gorgeous and so is the yard. Fiona herself is so welcoming and kind. She is a wealth of information about things in the area. The breakfast she makes is fit for a king, with home made bread, jam, eggs from her kitchen, delicious beverages and homemade granola! Book here if you have the chance!

This is a beautiful place to spend some time while in Scotland. Claire, Bruce (and Penny the dog) were warm and friendly hosts. The house was cozy and clean and the surroundings absolutely stunning. Easy to navigate even if you don’t have a rental vehicle, as taxis are readily available with knowledgeable drivers (and Claire and Bruce are happy to accommodate pick up and drops offs - even in the early morning if that’s what’s needed!). I’d definitely recommend this stay to any traveller looking for a peaceful rural experience.

We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect, and the house had such a unique charm. We wish we could have spent more time at the house, but we were eager to explore the city. John was an excellent host, and his two daughters were a true delight. Most mornings, we enjoyed breakfast with the two of them, and they were wonderful company, sharing stories and laughter. If we ever return to Edinburgh, this place will definitely be our top choice!

You have to stay here if you’re visiting Edinburgh or any of the other places in Scotland. It truly is home away from home! The room and bathroom has every amenity possible, so cozy, very clean and absolutely beautiful. H and Jimmy are the nicest people, just wanting your stay to be comfortable and enjoy Scotland. We ate in Prestonpans then walked along the beach each night with a sunset, one of the highlights of our trip. It’s a few minute drive or 15 walking. We took the train ( so close to the house) to Edinburgh only took 15 minutes. Im so glad we booked here because it’s a great beach town away from the city craziness, I couldn’t wait to get back and go for a walk in this cute town. Huge bonus is visiting with H & Jimmy. Enjoy!

We found Amanda's after cancelling somewhere else that let us down. We knocked on their door which must have put them on the back foot but after we explained both Uzi and Amanda turned the room around so quickly for us to stay and were so friendly. The room was luch with a great view (Tunnock Tea cake on the pillow) :-) and Uzi left breakfast and even a bottle of wine out side on the landing which was so lovely. Even though its a shared house you still have privacy and easy to get in and out. Location you are straight out onto the high street and we had so much fun exploring.. and when we got back the bed was so comfy!! seriously such a good nights sleep! We will definitely stay again if they will have us :-)) big thanks x

The property itself as a whole is stunning. We stayed in the Courtyard room which was immaculate, big size as well. the pictures don’t do justice to it really. The location was ideal we walked to the local restaurant on our first night the food was great. The park and ride to the city was a 5 minute drive away parking is free and a day ticket for the tram is £4.50. We used it twice and is cheaper and faster than parking in the city The self service Breakfast was perfect for us. With a decent variety of food available. Danni is a great Host, wonderful to chat with, had loads of good local advice and just a very nice Lady. If we are back in Edinburgh we will be staying here again.

This place is an absolute gem! The location is beautiful and safe (I was traveling alone). The room had a lovely view, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was unmatched in presentation, taste, and selection. I'm convinced it’s the best breakfast in all of Edinburgh! Ms. Carole goes above and beyond to make her guests feel well-cared for and quite spoiled. I had to check out early my last morning, and she packed food for me to take with me. One word of advice: don't use Google Maps to find the address. Citymapper will take you right to the address. If I could give it a six-star rating, I would. I will be recommending it to my family and friends, and I hope to visit again.

Great stay for two nights, Easy and smooth check-in, the room described clearly like the pictures,expect to share a wonderful living room and kitchen with other guests, breakfast was delicious. The house 20 minuets far from the city center, hosts are very friendly and help me to keep my luggage until my next check in, if you look for clean and quiet places this is the right place, overall it was a good time spending there. They let me to take many pictures for the house and share it in my insta@M4.f.

Unfortunately Mary was called away to look after a sick relative on the day of our arrival but John Archie was a fantastic and welcoming host to us and our doggy. The house was beautifully clean and the bedding and towels immaculate. The bed and pillows were so comfortable! It was a nice quiet area but with easy access to all the amenities of South Queensferry. John Archie put on a delicious breakfast for us and was such good company that I felt like I’d made a friend by the time we left. A shame we didn’t get to meet Mary but I hope we can come back and will definitely want to visit John Archie and Mary again if we are ever in the area.

I had a wonderful stay with Eleanor! She was responsive and accommodating from the start. During the stay she was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The place is clean, convenient, and your room is very private. Great location for someone seeking a quiet retreat that is still accessible to everything. Getting around couldn’t be easier with a bus stop just around the corner and plenty of free street parking.

Sam's place is a hidden gem in Edinburgh's Old Town. I'm really glad I've found it. Everything is exactly like in the photos and description. Sam left clear instructions for check-in and check-out, which helped a lot, and was very kind to give me amazing suggestions of places to eat. I went to an academic event in The University of Edinburgh and Sam kindly provided a desk in my bedroom, so I could work from there as well. The flat was very clean, cozy and the decoration is incredibly beautiful. If you like Harry Potter's universe, there are references to it everywhere and I loved it. I would certainly go back!

Set in a stunning location, Lucy’s house was a real treat to stay in. We felt privileged to be allowed to be in such a beautiful home. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Such a beautiful experience! We spent one night, before heading out to continue our drive further north … everything was absolutely perfect. The accommodations are so well-appointed, so many lovely touches… and the town was quiet and quaint and nice got walking. I wish we could have stayed days longer!

We had an amazing time at Fay’s yurt, both her and Jamie were super helpful and very friendly, they made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us on arrival while showing us around as well as giving us some tips of places to visit nearby. They were attentive and there to help us when we needed but also gave us privacy. The yurt itself is unreal, really clean and tidy with everything we needed inside and the log fire was great, made the place so cosy. The walled garden is absolutely beautiful and the 3 friendly goats were a real highlight for us, we went to see them every morning! The kitchen and bathroom areas were well stocked and clean, it was great to have access to them both and made our stay really comfortable. The surrounding areas are also stunning, a truly special place if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay. It’s well situated for visiting the places we wanted to go. We would love to go back, thank you for having us! ❤️

Lovely room in a gorgeous, leafy neighbourhood. Jessica was kind, and I even got to try some fantastic home baking! The room is superbly equipped with everything you could ever need, including toiletries and a great tea selection!

Very clean and comfortable, Carol was a very friendly person who was extremely helpful. Breakfasts were excellent with a first class selection to chose from.

Staying at Tracey’s place felt like being welcomed into the home of an old friend. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely at ease with her warm welcome and prepared me a cup of tea ☕️ When I caught a cold after The Highlands trip, she went above and beyond by preparing Lemsips for me without hesitation—such a thoughtful touch that I’ll never forget! Her home is cozy, and her two adorable cats added an extra layer of comfort and such a joy to be around! What truly stood out, though, were the wonderful conversations we shared. Tracey is such an interesting and caring person, and our chats made my stay even more special. I couldn’t have asked for a better host, and I’d recommend Tracey’s place in a heartbeat to anyone seeking warmth, hospitality, and a truly personal experience.
