The Bothy

SkyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our getaway to Kersmains bothy. It felt very luxurious, with plenty of space for two! The sunroom/ kitchen is a lovely space to cook and the living room is so cosy and atmospheric in the evenings. We loved the hot tub under the stars as there is very little light pollution. Perfect for a country escape to the borders.

A Scandi style vibe & hot tub.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. The accommodation was really lovely, warm and comfortable with amazing views. We enjoyed the walks from the door and Melrose was wonderful. The lemon drizzle cake, wine, flowers and milk were very kind.

5 Bed in Melrose (79418)

AlanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Had a lovely stay in this property and location met our needs perfectly . Hot tub was worth paying a bit extra for . Flat would be ideal for a larger group as the rooms are very spacious and well equipped . Only comment would be that some information on car parking would be helpful for those not familiar with the area . We were unaware of the existence of a garage until after check in . I knew where to park without charge in Melrose but it would be helpful to provide this information to other guests . Thank you for our stay . I would definitely recommend to others .

Luxury one-bedroom farm cottage with ocean views.

LuciaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
I came to Scotland with the intent of visiting this beautiful cottage and boy am I glad I did. The home was private, quiet, spacious, and homey. We took advantage of the kitchen to cook breakfast and dinners, the fireplace inside for a cozy reading night, and the firepit outside despite some wind. Kirkaldy is a 35 minute walk from the cottage where you can access the Fife coastal path and see the small local town and stunning sea. Another thing I loved about this stay were the linens and bathrobes- so luxe and comfortable! Things to be aware of: Ubers do not access the property but jane provided local taxi numbers for us which we used. There are not many spices in the home so if you do plan on cooking with them, be sure to bring some. Finally, be prepared for sadness when you leave because you will miss this dreamy Airbnb.

Pentland Hills cottage hideaway

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wonderful stay. The location is absolutely superb. What amazing views and so peaceful and remote. Sitting in the hot tub looking out over the hills was pure bliss!! And the stars you could see on a clear night, wow. Despite being so remote it’s close enough to Edinburgh that you can drive in and do all the attractions. So just perfect. Kylie was a fab host too, leaving Easter eggs for the kids and letting the kids feed her kunekune pig one day! The animals are great, especially Karen then hen, although she will come inside if allowed haha! All in all, we had a fantastic stay. Thank you Kylie

We had an absolutely lovely time at Ali's place. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hot tub and garnden really make the place with stunning views. Easy access to Edinburgh by train and car and also the Fife coastal path. We loved it! would be very happy to return again one day. Ali was the perfect host.

Distillers Cottage

MartinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A tranquil and peaceful stay in this spacious and well equipped cottage. We were well looked after by Jenny and co. and felt totally relaxed. Enjoyed our interactions with farm life, which included birthing a lamb, petting the donkies and seeing the newborn kittens, it made our stay very special. The house is well located for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow, or to enjoy nearby countryside. You won't regret it!

Appletree Cottage, Williamscraig, Linlithgow

HeatherRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely few days, staying at Appletree Cottage, with our two grandchildren aged 6 and 3. The cottage was very comfy and well equipped, and ideally suited our needs. Good location for many attractions such as Blair Drummond Safari Park, Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We were lucky to have good weather so the excellent play area and hot tub were much enjoyed each day. Would definitely recommend booking.

Mauldslie Hill Cottage

James and LucyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Peaceful location close to lake. Great secure garden for dog. Loved the wood burner and supply of logs to make it cosy. House was warm. Good amount of space, living area in particular was great. Would use the conservatory in warmer weather, though there was a wood burner in there too so perhaps that too is warm when that is on but we didn't try it. Shower rather weak. Quite an isolated spot so took quite a while getting about as it was far off the beaten track - this was only a slight issue though as we were going to and from family in Roslin, but if you were not that would be fine - nice in fact, as it was right in the country. Overall would recommend and would stay again.

Drumbank Cottage* - Sleeps 4

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved it here! The cottage was really cosy and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the recommended walks around the estate as well. Only around fifteen minutes from Edinburgh city centre but still so peaceful and really felt that we were still out in the countryside! Loads of space for us and for our dog which was great. Would definitely recommend!

Tigh Nam Muc

AliceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Tigh Nam Muc is a beautifully decorated cottage with all the required amenities and very comfortable beds. It is ideal for trips into Edinburgh...would recommend the park and ride as parking fairly limited in the city centre. We enjoyed Portobello, the National Museum of Scotland, Dalkeith Country Park and Edinburgh zoo. Although not far from Edinburgh, it felt peaceful and quiet. Ideal for families like ours (toddler and a 4 month old!) Sue was very responsive and helpful. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Beautiful one bed cottage near Edinburgh

KateRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Tastefully, recently renovated cottage on a beautiful estate. Very private with lovely outdoor space and wonderful grounds to explore. Extremely comfortable interior and surprisingly spacious. Host was available to contact if required but access was easy via a lockbox. The guide book within the cottage is extremely informative for places to visit and eat locally. For our needs (a family gathering in Edinburgh) it was absolutely perfect and I would hope that we may be able to return one day.

2 Bed in Edinburgh (83967)

NormanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a very nice cottage. The house book shows it being completely refurbed and rebuilt. It has been done to a high standard. The house is well layed out, with all modern amenities. The downstairs bedroom was apparented as the wife has mobility issues. The back garden is a proper SIN trap, sat with coffee and very quite,no local noise. pud and restaurant at end of the street, very good. local shops and cafe. Edinburgh is just a 20 minute drive to the centre, Leith and Portobello as well. 20 minutes takes you into the Scottish Borders to explore. This house is very Central to get out and explore, or you can just walk over to Roslin ruined cathedral for a enjoyable walk around finishing off at the pud in the evening sunshine. We shall will be returning. one of the best A/B&B we have stayed at.
