I cannot say enough about how kind Izumi and the rest of the hosts were...they were extremely responsive and helpful. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic and we loved Kyoto so much we skipped our day trip to Osaka...next time! The restaurant was delicious and the food ridiculously inexpensive. The matcha tea and beef curry were top notch! This condo is located close to all of the train stations you will need. The shopping area has great restaurants. Be sure to eat at Sugitama Sushi...it is literally a two minute walk from the place and extremely tasty. If you go to Nashiki Market get there right at 10 to walk around free of others. Then go next door to the Teramachi shopping area...it is much less crowded and the costs are lower...even though it is an alley away. Again, I cannot say how much we enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were amazing, the condo was in a fantastic area and Kyoto was beautiful!!! We will definitely be back!!!

We stayed in the cottage for 4 nights with our two boys (10 and 13 years). The cottage is small but equipped with every comfort (good shower, two toilets, airconditioners). It's a fun way to get acquainted with ancient Japanese life. The location is very nice. A short walk to both new and old center of Kyoto and plenty of choice of restaurants. In addition, metro, buses and a supermarket a few minutes away. Communication with Ta also went very well (quick, clear instructions and proactive). We definitely recommend this place.

Three of us had a great stay in Aki’s apartment, which was in a perfect location to access different sites around Kyoto. It was also easy to get to the main station by bus. The property was atmospheric with the light coming through the sliding doors and the welcoming feel of tatami flooring. It was kitted out with the essentials and done in a homely, lived-in way.

Very nice traditional Japanese home nestled in the small alley in Nakagyo. Steps away from the palace. Everything is spotless and as described. Beautiful house with 3 rooms and 2 bathroom. Small garden besides the living room. About 10 min walk from the subway. Lots of places to eat around the area too. 15 to 20 mins walk to Nishiki Market. Lovely place to be. Will return!
