This is a nearly 100-year-old Kyoto Machiya, which has been renovated by Japanese designers to incorporate the comfort and practicality required for modern living while retaining its traditional structure and charm. The whole house is equipped with a floor heating system, and it is warm and pleasant even in winter. There are two separate toilets and a bathroom, which is thoughtful to meet the needs of multiple people.The bathroom has a bathtub with a view of the courtyard, so you can relax after your trip. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking during long stays, and you can enjoy the charm of Kyoto's local ingredients. "Kyoto-no-Oyado Souju" is a private townhouse 5 minutes on foot from Keihan Kiyomizu-gojo Station.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.
