The house is the cleanest of the 3 airbnb houses we stayed in this trip. Good traditional Japanese house experience, newer ac. Only negative are the thin towels. Definitely will want to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The location is great, you can walk to Gion from there relatively quickly and it’s a nice walk down the river. The place was super clean and nice. The host is very responsive and helpful. Great stay, definitely recommend this property.

MACHIYA 100year.4minutes Gion, Nishiki,main street

RickyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Location was great!! Only 5 minutes away from the station and all the nearby attraction. It is an old japanese Machiya so yes while its not perfect you are able to experience what is it like living in the past with some modern amenities. Its big enough for our family of 7 though the stairs abit narrow and you can only open your luggage downstairs in order not to ruin the tatami mat. But you are here to explore Kyoto city and Ta's place make the perfect base!

A Family House in front of Kyoto Station,4min walk

AmparoRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was really close to a train station, about five mins away or less, and multiple convenience stores which helped with snacks after long days. Only thing to note is all three rooms are attached, so to get to the third room you must go through the first and second room. It wasn’t an issue for us but might be for those who want privacy. There was a bright exit sign in the first room which was bothersome the first night but we just covered it with a black shirt the next nights and it was fine. Overall would stay again.

I had an amazing stay at Japaku! The location couldn’t have been more perfect it was only about a 3-5 minute walk to a convenience store, shopping mall, and the train station, which made getting around and picking up anything I needed incredibly easy. The neighborhood felt very safe and was easy to navigate, even for someone visiting for the first time. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, making it feel like a home away from home. Communication with the host was smooth and straightforward, which made check-in and the entire stay stress-free. I definitely plan on staying here again during my next trip and would highly recommend Japaku to anyone visiting the area!

My stay at Yusuke's Airbnb was exceptional. He was a welcoming host who provided great tips on local attractions. The accommodation was clean and cozy. The highlight was its proximity to a stunning cherry blossom viewing point with breathtaking views. I highly recommend Yusuke's Airbnb for a comfortable stay and easy access to amazing attractions.

Our family had an amazing stay at the Tacto House. Noriko and her son were wonderful hosts and made our experience exceptional, they went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome—from thoughtful local recommendations to small personal touches that really showed how much they care, we cannot thank Noriko enough for her kindness. The space was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Communication was quick and easy, and it was clear that they genuinely wanted us to have a great stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again —highly recommend!

Japanese room/Enmachi st 5min/Kyoto st 9min/kitch

GuyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My wife, daughter and I stayed here for four nights to explore Kyoto and the surrounding area and it was perfect for us allowing us to put our daughter to sleep in the separate bedroom and still have the remainder of the evening in the living space which is not common in. Japanese apartments that we have stayed in. Loads of good food shops in the surrounding area and a few hidden restaurant gems that we found in the surrounding area! The bus and train connection s really enabled us to explore in the short time we had!

Super nice place to stay. The location closed with the train station, supermarkets, restaurants as well. Royce was super helpful, kind and friendly. I still remember when my husband accidentally left his bag in the train, Royce help us without hesitate to contact the officer of the lost&found department and he guide us how to get our bag back. We really appreciate it for Royce help. 🙂

Really beautiful accommodation in Kyoto. Walking distance to a lot of stuff. In a more quiet area of town, but it felt very authentic. The hosts were very lovely and willing to help. I would stay in this area again in the future!

Stayed here with a 3 more friends. Easy walk to the station. Host is very responsive and helpful. I love the amenities that was there and guides! There were guides on how to use the equipments, how to get to popular areas using train or bus, and what to do if one is injured. Loved how the place is set up! There are rentable bikes that can also be used. Would come back here again.
