Tatami Triple Shared Shower

Soi’s Guesthouse is a super place to stay when you’re in Kyoto! All the hosts were super helpful, giving us recommendation and even helped us out with an office for one in our company. The street is also really peaceful and quiet, but still very close to the old town. Would definitely come back!

An authentic Japanese house (Home-stay)Room#WABI

CristelRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a beautiful traditional Japanese home to stay We totally loved the old house, beautiful decorations, the inner courtyard and our room. Everything was perfect! Chieri is a great host, we felt very welcomed and home right away. We were on a road trip, so we also enjoyed that we could wash our clothes. And we tried out the traditional japanese bath. Perfect! Chieri, thank you for everything! Hope to see you someday again!

This place was extremely well presented and one of the best Air Bnbs we have stayed in! It was extremely clean and had fantastic amenities, everything we needed to continue travelling! The house was cosy and we felt right at home. Yoko was very responsive, messaging to ask how we were going and if we needed anything. The location was a bit out of main Kyoto but we enjoyed the peaceful nature of the area and found more yummy restaurants around than in the busy areas. We will hope to stay again next time we are in Kyoto. Thank you for having us stay Yoko!

A thousand thanks to Luffy for the stay and being such a friendly person, having at the entrance as soon as we get music from our favorite animes was an incredible point. In addition to being next to all the places in Hibike euphonium it was something I would definitely repeat again.

Experience life in a traditional Kyoto house

Timothy LaurieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
It was my first time visiting Kyoto, and staying at Kenji-san's Hana House was truly a unique experience. Living in a traditional Kyoto house allowed us to experience life like a local and learn new things along the way. The location is in a very quiet community—though it was a bit of a walk to the station, it was a pleasant one. Although we had limited time to spend with Kenji-san, he was always ready to help when needed and generously shared his experiences as a true artist through his beautiful artworks. Highly recommended!

Scenic Mountain Home

Staying at John’s place in Shiga was an unforgettable experience! John is an incredibly passionate and energetic host, always full of enthusiasm. He and his lovely wife, Rika, made me feel right at home. They even invited me to join their family for a delicious homemade dinner, and Rika kindly provided breakfast as well. Their son, Andre, was also very friendly, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. The house itself is a charming countryside cottage surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a perfect getaway. If you’re visiting Shiga, staying with John is an absolute must! Highly recommended!

Machiko San and Tanaka San were the sweetest. Breakfast was amazing everyday and it was awesome speaking with Tanaka San about his worldly travels. I spent my birthday with them and they even bought me a gift. Really enjoyed my stay and it felt like staying with family. ありがとうございました Machiko San and Tanaka San 🥰

I really enjoyed staying at Hide-san's property as it was conveniently located next to tourist attractions spots and had good access to transport links to other attractions. The room I stayed in also had a very authentic Japanese style design, which gave me the traditional Japanese experience I was looking for. Hide-san also showed me great hospitality and I enjoyed the many conversations that we had. The breakfast made by Hide-san also tasted really nice and it had a very homely feel to it. Overall, I'd recommend this property if you're looking for an authentic and traditonal Japanese experience in Kyoto. If I come to Japan again then I'll make future reservations at this property.

Kizuna: Relaxing Stay in 150 yr old Farmhouse

유진Rating, 5 stars5 months ago
It was my first time traveling abroad with my dog for a month, and the process before departure wasn't smooth, so I was worried about whether the two of us could get along well. Those worries were in vain, and I really enjoyed the trip because Yuki and Kevin took care of a lot of things.😊 I'm so grateful that I was able to make a lot of memories that I wouldn't have had if I booked a regular vacation home or hotel! I was so grateful that you picked me up by car all the way to the airport and the station, and provided delicious meals every day. Everyone in the village was kind and friendly, so I enjoyed the Japanese countryside with my dog. I prefer a quiet and relaxing trip with nature rather than a crowded and busy sightseeing, so it was even better.☺️ I'm also looking forward to a new kids or house, so please invite me when the house is repaired.💓 Take care of your health. I hope you have a lot of fun until the day we meet again.🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ Cosmo and Hinah, stay healthy!!

8 mins Walk to Center | Double Room | minato hotel

RyanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in Kyoto! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help out with any questions or needs. The location is great – it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest station and equally close to popular spots like Sanjo and Nishiki Market, making it easy to explore the area. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the breakfast. It wasn’t just a standard continental breakfast – each morning, they prepared a full, delicious spread for every guest, which was such a treat to start the day. You could really feel the care and effort they put into making everyone feel at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The only minor issue was the washer and dryer, which are a bit dated. The dryer took a while to dry a half load, so I’d recommend doing smaller loads or planning laundry for when you have some time to hang out. Overall, I loved my stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting!

10 minutes to Kiyomizu temple | 1 min Yasaka shrine | Nagasaku temple inn # 402

여름Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
The accommodation is a bit expensive because it's the peak season, but the sunset view from the window on the 4th floor is very pretty, so I'm satisfied. I think you can think of the room in Najeong-gu that appears in Doraemon. I recommend it if you want a cozy home-like accommodation. I saw a review saying the mattress was thin, so I asked for two mattresses to be put in, and they kindly set it up in advance. The host doesn't speak Korean, but he can communicate in simple English and body language. Oh, the water is filled in the port by default, but if you need cold water, you have to buy it yourself. The green tea in the amenities was a little more sophisticated and delicious than the one in the cabinet. This is an accommodation that will come to mind again when I come to Kyoto.

Takumi was an excellent host. All of our needs were taken care of seamlessly. He was proactive and very helpful. Paying for the dinner is a must! The food was delicious and traditional. The location was beautiful, and if you’re looking for something off the beaten path, staying here is a good choice. Our host was very welcoming and communicated excellently. We look forward to booking with Takumi again! 11/10 would recommend.
