For a nature lover like me, Joy’s place was just perfect! The house is surrounded by trees, making it peaceful and refreshing. It was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You get access to most of the villa, except for two locked rooms, but the space is more than sufficient and never felt restrictive. Uncle and Aunty live in the back portion, which was actually reassuring because they were always nearby if we needed anything. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary utensils and appliances. What truly made this stay special was their warmth and hospitality. Aunty’s food was amazing - she even made North Indian dishes just for us, which made us feel at home. And Uncle was incredibly kind. When I had a minor fall and needed a doctor, he immediately arranged for a checkup and made sure I was okay. Their kindness and generosity made this place more than just accommodation - it truly felt like home. Highly recommended!

The place is right on the beach front as mentioned and very easy to find. The beach itself is very secluded and will feel like a private beach. Although Alleppey is 25Kms away, it is a straight road from here and you should reach there very quickly; you will also find lots of calm serene beaches along the way. The property has 2 seperate rooms, each can host upto 5 people. There are separate mattresses provided as well. The patio and kitchen is common, and there is a caretaker on the property who will assist you. There is a seperate 500₹ fee to use the gas incase you want to cook something for yourself. In our case, the host was kind enough to let it slide since one of the room's AC broke down (not anyone's fault obviously). He also tried to get the AC fixed on the same day. Overall you will not be disappointed if you book this stay, extremely serene and calm.

Like all getaways, what I look for most is a place that’s quiet, relaxing, and lets me just be. When I saw the pictures - with the water just a few feet from the verandah - I was smitten. And Manu’s place is exactly as shown. Watching birds, seeing locals throw their nets, gliding through the canals on little boat rides, and simply observing life unfold by the water was deeply calming and fascinating. Manu is a warm, helpful, and non-intrusive host, which I really appreciated. I’m not much into sightseeing or touristy activities, but since I was travelling with my mother and my son, it was important to find the right balance. Thanks to Manu’s thoughtful suggestions, we managed just that - some exploring, and plenty of doing nothing. Will I be back? Definitely - and hopefully, soon

I was eager to experience bioluminescence in Kumbalangi with my friends, and while searching for a stay, I came across a waterfront villa listed on Airbnb. Since the property was newly listed and had only two reviews, I was initially a bit hesitant to book it, especially as it was for a group trip. However, after messaging the host, Harshan, I felt reassured. His responses were genuine and gave me the confidence to proceed with the booking. My wife and I arrived at the villa around 4 PM and were thrilled to see that the property looked even better in person. The caretaker, Rojin, greeted us warmly and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The property had a wonderful vibe that all of us, including the little ones, absolutely loved. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to witness the mesmerizing bioluminescence in Kumbalangi – a truly magical experience!
