Serene Homelike Cosy stay - 18kms close to Munnar

VinothRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay felt like a home amidst the mighty hills of Munnar. The drive to the property was an adventure, going up & down the hilly terrain. However, it might be a bit challenging for some. That said, there are people around to guide and help you navigate your way to this serene retreat. We stayed in a pleasant 2BHK home surrounded by a spacious open area with rubber trees all around. A small cowshed and a few hens nestled on the property. The ambience made us feel connected to nature & the warmth of a home. The owners were incredibly hospitable & cooked some homely food for us. The stay has both an internal & an external staircase leading to our floor, with the owners residing on the ground floor. While the internal staircase offers convenience, we felt it slightly blurred the privacy for both guests and hosts, though the owners were respectful & never imposed any restrictions. The main town is about 6 km away, so some travel for shops is required. A pleasant & lovely stay, overall!

I had booked this stay with my family. This place is newly listed in Airbnb and is fabulous. The property is very spacious and has a very good parking space within the premises .More than 2 cars can be easily parked. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary items. The house was kept very clean and the place is very peaceful. Mr Prakash who is the caretaker of the home was very helpful and cooperative. Host was very helpful in providing the check in details on time and other instructions. Our stay was very memorable and I would recommend this stay anyone who loves to stay in the midst of nature.

Perfect spot to relax and unwind. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made everything even better. Even though we didn’t speak the same language, they went out of their way to help us when we lost a wallet. we were blown away for their support. Truly grateful for their help. Vaga Rowood by WanderEase

LakshmiRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Very beautiful and quiet surroundings. But the approach Road was slightly difficult to navigate.. Last 100 mts only one vehicle can pass. Also mobile range is poor so difficult to call and ask for directions. Food was nice for a 2 day stay but more than that can get repetitive. Not too many places to eat close by.. Atleast have to drive half an hour for a restaurant. For the price you pay it was definitely worth it.

View-Topia Mudhouse

DeniseRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Caretaker was great and accommodating. Helped us order our dinner and also beer (: Really peacefully place. Can't hear traffic at all. Bed was comfy. Some things to note: There's no aircon but you don't need it at all. You will have to walk down a trail of stairs (mud and stone). So be prepared and best if you bring backpack instead of roller luggage. I had no issues with this. The bathroom does not have piped hot water. You will have to boil in the kettle they provide and have a bucket shower. I had no issues with this. Not much to eat or do there. Really just go and chill with your book or boardgames.

Zenha 4 BHK Premium Pool villa with Mountain view

SanskarRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This is hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. They’ve thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The rooms? Way bigger and better than the photos, like, 20x better. Honestly, it’s the kind of spot you’d want to gatekeep, but it’s too good not to share. They serve buffet breakfast and dinner (so good), with a special shoutout to their Gobhi 65: it’s out of this world. The pool was incredibly clean and beautiful. But the standout feature was the hospitality, major kudos to Prakash, who was always available to arrange autos and take care of anything else we needed. If you’re on the fence, don’t overthink it. Just book it, you’ll thank me later.

The Planters Foyer, Near Munnar

JeffreyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Planter''s Foyer is in a magical place, Kamballikad. It is the result of friends and families coming together under the shared vision of natural building and nature based living. The architectural touches are just divine, from the use of natural materials like stone, wood and reclaimed stuff, to antique pieces and soulful stuff dotting everything - it is quite something- a class apart from the average concrete monstrosity put together usually in Kerala. We booked for two days and stayed on location the whole time. Making walks to find sunrise and sunset spots, to being served meals three times a day by the caretaker Shijo- which had its highlights: Idiappam, the pork curry, among many things. I loved the skylight in the bathrooms, the shade for the lamps, the wooden boxes for all electrical fixtures. The last stretch to the location is a task for the unseasoned driver, the cllimb is very steep and I struggled, but we could have utilised the caretaker's offer to drive up

Swastham Estate Bungalow

JeevaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The stay at Swastham was great and unforgettable experience. Mr. Joy was so helpful and very friendly. The bungalow has a massive plantation where Mr. Joy took us for visit, it was so pleasant and informative. He described about the plants and cultivation process, my kids and wife enjoyed very well. Had homemade foods daily which is so tasteful. One day Mrs. Joy cooked traditional Kerala style breakfast and it was truly tasty. Every morning we wake up by hearing beautiful sounds of the birds and hot coffee and sit out is unbelievable. There are two caretakers and they were very friendly and we felt like staying in our home. I highly recommend this place. Truly truly amazing. Thanks Mr. Joy sir for this beautiful trip and your love towards organic farming. Regards, Jeeva and family.
