KODAIKANAL ANAGIRI VINTAGE VILLA

ArunRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Serene and tranquil, this stone villa blends vintage charm with modern amenities, nestled on a lush coffee plantation coastline. It's impeccably clean, inside and out. Mornings greet you with birdsong so vivid it feels like an ASMR experience, making you wonder why you've missed such beauty. The indoors are so quiet you notice the faint taps of scrolling on your phone! On a full moon, catch a breathtaking moonset from the villa’s entrance—pure magic! The homemade dishes are subtly flavored, letting you savor their depth. Must-tries: Jeera Rice, Pepper Chicken, Dal Fry, and fluffy pooris—each a delight! John and Daise, the hosts, are the heart of this experience. With over nine years of hospitality, they anticipate your needs with warmth. John, like a witty, reliable senior, shares humor-laced stories from his mountain life. Daise, a cheerful multitasker, ensures you're pampered, her easygoing chats are full of charm. Our stay at this 4BHK gem in Kodai was nothing short of magical. The vibes were just perfect, like being wrapped in a mountain hug. The place was spotless, and it felt like they've cracked the code for mountain living. The caretakers were absolute gems, making us feel more at home than guests. It's not just a stay; it's an experience. Worth every single penny – I can't recommend it enough!

The kitchen has all the utensils and there are 2 bedrooms and the living space has a cot as well. The caretaker makes delicious home cooked food. Zomato is also available. Amazing Place! Property is 30 Mins from Kodai Lake and is located on a small hill. The Bungalow is clean and had a functioning kitchen. We had caretakers Selvam and Mary who helped us in setting up the Bonfire and morning breakfast. Bungalow is surrounded by forest and is on a small hill. You need to push your vehicle on a slope to reach parking and it can get slippery when raining. There is an early morning trek that you can take to reach on top of the hill and is worth it. Property was spacious and well maintained, you can easily fit 9-10 adults in it. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful stay where you want to be isolated from the hustle of the city.

MANASLU -- Home On A Hill

ChandramouliRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had an amazing 2-day stay at Manalasu Villa, Kodaikanal with family, including my 9-month-old son. The villa was peaceful, and the caretaker was very friendly. The food they prepared was delicious, and we loved the bonfire and barbecue in the lawn. The owner was incredibly kind and ensured our forgotten belongings were safely delivered to us in Chennai. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable experience. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!
