Great spot if you want a fun urban feel. So many great restaurants in walking distance! The views out of the loft bedroom at night were beautiful. Hello, Marjorie is a must check out if you enjoy a unique cocktail experience. Highly recommend!!

Staying with Susie is now a yearly trip for us. She is an amazing host and you cannot beat the charm of the town. My daughter looks forward to this stay more than any other we take. Can’t recommend staying here enough.

the property was wonderful! the only downside were the train crossings, which are a problem everywhere downtown. glad to hear the city is addressing this!

This is the third time we’ve stayed here. It’s by the town square, so you can walk to any activity, Smokey Row coffee shop, several restaurants. Very centrally located in town.

Very comfortable stay! The apartment is in a perfect location, with easy access to Ames and Des Moines, and very fairly priced. The space was well appointed and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed for a weekend in Boone; although our plans for the rail cars fell through (due to the heat and wind) we ended up enjoying a comfortable stay out of the heat at Bodacious Boone Bungalow. Perfect for us!

This is our second time staying at Larry’s place. We love how comfortable it is, the beautiful view, and how it has everything we need to feel at home. The outdoor space is so nice! Thank you for providing plenty of towels. 😊 We highly recommend staying here or at one of Larry’s other places.

Layne's house was exactly as described and what the pics showed. The house has all the necessary amenities and then some. WE (blaming my mother... LOL) had a glitch with the door and contacted Layne. He was quick to respond and correct the issue. The area is in a nice quiet neighborhood, which wasn't far from the museums and Downtown. We found several places to eat but if you get a chance, stop in Tornado's Grub & Pub for the BEST burgers! Me, my mom, sister, & sis-in-love took a girls trip to Iowa so I could check it off my bucket list (9 more states to go!!). We all agreed that Layne's A-Frame home was the perfect spot.

This is a beautiful home with all amenities as described. It’s a bit of a walk into town but otherwise fine. Love the fact Alexa everywhere which was useful for music and timings. We have 2 grown up kids, so 4 adults and 1 bathroom was a stretch at times. Mellisa answered my queries almost instantly. Thoroughly recommend a stay here !!

This house is truly special. I feel really lucky that it’s on Airbnb and we got to stay here. It is truly a magical place. Built in 1880, it has an impressive number of original features, plenty of room to spread out, and is very comfortably furnished. We experienced temps as high as 96 and the backyard still had a cool breeze coming off the Mississippi River and was nicely shaded. Like all houses 145 years old, there are some quirks. The primary bedroom was spectacularly beautiful with a cool view but got really hot. The single AC unit isn’t sufficient to cool the upstairs on such hot summer days as we experienced. Luckily there were both ceiling fans and stand fans provided by our host that made it bearable. The windows are old and drafty. The showers are small and the primary one had a lot of spouts and no instructions so was a little tricky to figure out, the bathtub in the secondary bedroom wasn’t hooked up to water (so, unusable). Overall, place was very clean and gorgeous!

Wonderful stay. Jill has a lovely house in walking / bike riding distance to downtown Cedar Rapids and local parks. Highly recommend.

Abby was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. The home was exactly as pictured - a beautiful, well-kept space with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed being right on the lake. A lovely and relaxing stay!

Holly's communication and response prior to our trip ensured we had the information needed to plan for our trip and check-in to the property absolutely hassle free. We were able to go to a local theater production within 10 minutes from the house, that Holly had assured us we would be we happy we had attended, and it so, so, so much more than we expected. We had our grandchildren with us and even with heavy rain and extreme heat warnings, there were tons of games for inside and they had a beautiful property to enjoy right there and then they we able take breaks inside to cool off. We genuinely felt peaceful and relaxed our entire visit. The house is the perfect distance from the road we never heard a sound. I have stayed at a few different Airbnbs and have never had EVERYTHING already in the home we needed other than our groceries. On our ride home, our grandchildren planned an entire second visit and "explained" to us exactly why it is the perfect place to return to.

Angela’s place is beautiful. Clean, cozy, quiet. I only wish I could have stayed longer and fully enjoyed the yard and amenities. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. We were in town for baseball and it was great to be walking distance to so many restaurants and bars, as well as the hotel where teammates were staying.

Crystal clear instructions on how to get into the building and once you get in, it’s easier the next time. Had a small hiccup with parking, because of a race that had all the streets around the building closed, but Kyle gave us an alternative suggestion that worked out just fine. Everything was clean and exactly as described and shown. One of the most comfortable bed/pillow combos we’ve had!! Great location and walkable to everything we were in town for.

The view was wonderful and right on the lake. We enjoyed the deck and walking out on the dock. Paxton was responsive and the beds were comfortable!

Great place! Stayed for the 70.3 Ironman. Exactly what we needed! Super close to everything we needed to get to. Walked most places, farmers market was right outside the door and breakfast was a short walk, and Ironman village was one block away. So thankful for a private parking spot downtown! Everything was clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again. Instructions to get in were a bit intense but we followed it exactly as laid out and were able to get checked in just fine.

I visited Des Moines for my Ironman 70.3 and location itself was amazing! 2 min walk to Ironman village. Besides that, just an amazing apartment, a lot of room, very clean, great kitchen, super relaxing mattress and tropical shower! 10/10, totally recommend! Also, ceiling is just unbelievable!
