We really enjoyed our stay with our sons. The location and the pond in the backyard was very peaceful.

Kenny was a great host and the property was beautiful, lots of space and very private.

Christian and Melissa have a beautiful home with an amazing selection of amenities. My friends and I felt right at home and had an amazing weekend enjoying the pool, hot tub and back patio. Hoping to come visit again once the lake is no longer under construction! Would highly recommend!

Natalie was a great host who was very responsive with communication and super friendly. Everything was as described and was just perfect for our family of 4. There were so many things there for our young kids to do! Would love to stay on our next trip to Okoboji!

Had a great stay at John's cabin. Great view of the river and just very quiet and peaceful. Great spot to watch nature. John was very responsive and check in was very simple. We will be back.

This place was the perfect place to stay while visiting family in town. It was spotless and a great price. Joe and Rachel responded quickly to my messages and were very friendly. They also had very clear instructions. I will stay here again.

Our whole group absolutely loved this place! It was clean and comfortable. The location is quiet and peaceful, we loved sitting on the deck with coffee in the mornings. In the evenings we played cards around the large sunroom table- it was perfect! I can’t forget to mention the winery- WOW. Not only does it have a beautiful deck, but every sample we had was incredible. We ended up buying several different bottles to take home. We’d love to stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, dog friendly vacation spot.

This place is something else. We came 4 families with children and so much fun. There is everything for children and teenagers to have fun. I definitely recommend this cozy house for a short family vacation .

We came from out of state for my daughter’s wedding and finding enough hotel rooms was a challenge. Jeff’s place fit the bill with more than enough space for everyone, spacious rooms and a great deck for our morning coffee and breakfast. Sprinkle in deer in the fields and fireflies at night making his place truly relaxing for all of us.

Stayed here at dog friendly cabin for a wedding at Emerald Hills/ Heritage 1865 and it was a great location. Glad it was dog friendly & kitchen space is great for bringing your own snacks/food in case you don’t want to go into town.

I have stayed previously and on this trip my wife came along. Peaceful setting on the Des Moines River and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the covered back porch. If you are looking for a day or 2 or a week or 2, you can’t go wrong staying in the River Cabin. Thanks and see you next trip.

We have stayed in two different cabins now and enjoyed our time greatly. Great location to go to backbone State Park and visit other towns along the way. Very clean and peaceful. We will be back!

Cozy cabin, with a skylight in the loft to Stargaze! Beautiful area out in nature, including a pond. Paula was very friendly & accommodating. She provided alot of little extras to use on the cabin. A nice place to stay to unplug & relax!

This was our second year staying here, and it won’t be our last! The atmosphere is perfect—laid-back, welcoming, and full of charm. The community truly makes you feel at home. Kelly remembered us from last year and treated us like old friends, even giving us some free worms to get our fishing started. The community fire pit is a great place to relax and meet new people, and the fishing is top-notch. We caught over 20 walleye between 15–19 inches and even landed a beautiful 33.5-inch pike. We’re already looking forward to year three. Whether you’re planning a family getaway or a trip with friends, Sabula is a hidden gem you won’t want to miss!

Our family enjoyed staying at Karri’s place to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday. Easy to find, check in and communicate with. Appreciate the hospitality!

This is a beautiful, well-appointed cozy cabin with a great host and a stunning view. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed and more. So happy we found this gem!
