Great place! Absolutely loved the direct access to the water. The house is very cute and exactly like the photos. The steps to get to San Marcos can be a lot, but it was doable and really worth it in the end!

We had an amazing stay at this beach cottage in El Paredón! The private pool was a total highlight—perfect for relaxing any time of day. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and just a short walk to great restaurants. The location was ideal and njust steps to the beach.. Highly recommend for a peaceful and relaxing beach escape!

I stayed at Balam Ya Rentals and it was truly one for the books. The property felt luxurious, spacious, and incredibly private—perfect for a restful retreat by Lake Atitlán. From the private driveway and designated parking space to the lush surroundings, everything about the space invited relaxation. What made the experience especially memorable was the attentive and kind team. They were always available to help us coordinate taxis, meals, and even a private boat to explore the lake and its surrounding villages. While some services came at a higher-than-average price, the level of comfort, ease, and care made it more than worth it. If you’re looking for a peaceful, elevated experience in Lake Atitlán with top-tier hospitality and privacy, this is the place.

La casa es preciosa, una vista al mar desde el rancho y piscina espectacular, cuartos cómodos, aires acondicionados que funcionan super bien, los ayudantes son personas muy amables y nos hicieron sentir muy atendidos. Las camas para broncearse frente al mar son una maravilla! recomiendo en la noche usarlas para ver las estrellas! El área social de la casa no tiene aire acondicionado pero en realidad casi no estuvimos en el área de la casa ya que usamos mucho el rancho frente a la playa entonces no fue mayor inconveniente. Otra cosa a tomar en cuenta es el piso de la piscina, sobre todo si vas con niños es un poco resbaladizo pero con chancletas no pasa nada solo es estar atento a que las personas se los pongan. Volveremos seguro!!

The place is beautiful! Very well designed with high end finishes and attention to detail. Love the sliding glass door that gives you the option of open air living space or close it off and have AC. All around a great option for the area. The host was great a very responsive. I will definitely be returning.

Très bonne expérience. C’était très propre et il n’y a eu aucun problème de communication. Le seul problème sont les travaux juste à côté, et qui commençait très tôt. Cela ne nous a pas beaucoup gêné, mais il reste qu’on peut s’attendre à mieux pour ce prix. Sommairement, nous avons passé un bon moment, et nous recommandons ce RBNB, surtout pour la proximité avec la plage.

Amazing little spot in Santa Cruz, walkable to any area. Quiet and cozy, perfect for some vacation time. It's not the first time by boyfriend has booked this house and this time I was able to come as well. Super plus point: it's pet friendly and our dogs LOVED this short holiday!

The cabin was right along the edge of the lake and surrounded by nature. Really peaceful place to go relax for a weekend.

The house was beautiful. Right on the lake with Cristal clear water to just jump in when waking up. We loved it!

This is our second stay at The Artist's Loft and it was just as peaceful as the first time in 2017. The view is breathtaking and I feel the best view of Lake Atitlan. The house is spacious, sunny and airy. I enjoyed the firm bed. The staff, Dorca, Milka and Nathanael were helpful and responsive. We enjoyed reading on the deck and had almost all our meals there. I became friends with the parrot Victoria and became attached to her. Everytime I saw her she made me laugh. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was unforgettable. The views and proximity to the lake and nature reserve, as well as the outdoor bathroom were spectacular. The serenity and sounds of nature took our breath away. Very good choice to unwind and reconnect with oneself or nature. Hosts were above and beyond helpful and communicative (and with translation to our driver). With that said, the stairs down and then up to the house are no joke. Not for the faint of heart. Well worth it for the experience but if you are not in shape or healthy I would reconsider. It was a considerable effort. I also do not recommend more than 4-5 adults in terms of space and sleeping arrangements. We definitely want to return!
