It is just a 15 minute walk downhill (or a 5 minute tuktuk ride) to the popular hipster/holistic village of San Marcos La Laguna. From our road entrance up to the house there are 150 steps to hike, well worth it for the incredible view!

The house is located in the heart of historic downtown Antigua Guatemala, in a place that was once an old Mesón de Oriente, a public lodging that housed travelers and their horses and carriages. The house is built between the thick stone, brick, and adobe walls of the old inn, and during its recent restoration, old bricks, stone lintels, and hundreds of horseshoes found in the rubble were used, giving it a historic and authentic touch.
