This cottage was one of the best ABNB stays I have had! The place was spotless. The floor plan layout was an excellent use of the space. I was very comfortable staying here, the whole process worked well. Great stay!

Always a magical stay

We had a two day stay with our baby and dog. Our stay was restful and relaxing. The space is very beautifully decorated and cozy. There were some enjoyable reads placed around the space.The kitchen was stocked with essentials and made cooking our meals easy. We appreciated the dog amenities like food bowls and dog towel to wipe paws, as well as front/back yard space for our dog to explore. Would recommend for families and dog owners.

The cottage was lovely and it was super peaceful but also close enough to downtown Ferndale to walk!

As I was planning our trip to Humboldt, the pictures in this listing caught my eye. It turned out it was the same little cottage I used to live in when I lived in Arcata. It's an amazing little place with the perfect location for exploring downtown Arcata. An amazing trip down memory lane! Highly recommend the host and location!

When my family and I saw pictures of Sarah and Matthew’s barn loft, we knew it would be the perfect home away from home. We loved how cozy the space was, the beautiful reclaimed wood throughout and the old cook stove. It had everything we needed during our stay, from the kitchen to the bathroom and even a sound machine in the bedroom. Sarah greeted us when we arrive to show us around, and was available if need. She and her husband Matthew were very friendly and kind. They mentioned that they would be going about their farm duties during the mornings and that we were welcome to visit the animals and explore the property. We even got to watch them milk the cow in the morning, which our young daughter loved. We truly had a wonderful stay and hope to return again for a visit in the future!

This is a magical place and extremely peaceful. The beauty of being surrounded by the redwoods is truly remarkable and the cottage feels like home. The host provided everything we needed for our stay and more. Our huskies loved spending time in this small sampling of redwood forest. Perfect place if you’re searching for a vacation home with your pets !!!!!

I was looking for a place to crash with a friend and my two dogs after driving for 10 hours. We got into town after 11:00PM. Arbnb is my go to for traveling with pets and this place was near my final destination. The space was clean, simple and well appointed, with a nice fenced yard. There's a bed and loveseat in the room. The loveseat is too small to sleep on so the room is appropriate for a couple or single traveler.

I came to visit my son and enjoy the surrounding redwoods, but ended up having to stay indoors a lot more than planned, and I was very, very comfortable in Sara's place. The kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you need; I loved the firm mattress; and, being an avid reader, I loved the comfy chair in the bedroom and the bright lighting throughout. It's situated in a very quiet neighborhood, and a lovely Café is just a stone's throw down the hill. Sara's personalized Welcome sign made me feel right at home, and she was always very quick to respond when I reached out. I just really liked the place and enjoyed my stay very much!

This was my family’s second time staying during spring break vacation and it was just as great as the first time. This time we brought our dog and accommodations were great. The house has easy access, quiet and peaceful. The living room television has been upgraded to a larger size which was awesome for our family movie nights on Netflix. Eric was very responsive when we had WiFi questions and welcoming at our independent check in. We look forward to another vacation here again.😊

This is a perfect coastal getaway pad! Exactly as pictured and so much more. Abigail was a super host, 100% there for us within minutes through the messaging part of the app. Will definitely be coming back again. Met lots of the neighbors and their dogs! Everyone was great! Can't say enough about it!

Is it fancy? No. But it is reasonably priced, in a convenient location, has a great hot tub, and a wonderful host.

I stayed here with my dog during a long road trip. The space is very comfortable and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful and the location is convenient to walk to the lovely main street of Ferndale. Alexa is a thoughtful, friendly hostess and was very pleasant to communicate with.

Amy was wonderful! Left us a bunch of recommendations for the area. We loved the privacy and the yard. The house is perfect for a quiet beach weekend. We will definitely be back!

Shannon is an exceptional host and our room, The Hideout, was the perfect mix of antique furniture, funky colors, and cabin-in-the-woods vibe. The common areas, tubs, and saunas, too, are immaculate and feel like a spa. Will come again.

Had a lovely time in Arcata. Ruby’s place is situated in a great spot, walkable to downtown destinations as well as Humboldt campus. Everything in the apartment was just like described. Felt like home. Despite being above the restaurant, it feels private and no noticeable restaurant noise.

Erik was lovely to work with and was great about checking in on us and sending us info, local recommendations, etc ahead of time. Had a great stay. House was perfect for our family of 4.

This is our 2nd visit to Lala’s house and we were so impressed. Lala has thought of everything, from the well stocked kitchen to the raincoats and cooler for picnics, we had everything needed to make my family’s stay comfortable. It is conveniently located just 30 minutes from the redwoods which is my favorite place on earth ❤️ Lala communicated with us throughout our stay to make sure all our needs were met. We will definitely be staying at this home again, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed here for four nights and three days while visiting family in the area. We had sunny, warm weather during our visit, which enhanced the already beautiful view from the front porch, living and dining room of the Arcata Bay. The home is lovely; a beautiful craftsman; nicely furnished. We loved the kitchen and large dining table where we hosted a birthday dinner for seven. The primary suite is also large, as is the adjoining bath. My only complaint is the mattress was much too soft for my chronic back pain. Although the area is described as walkable, there are hills and walking may not be easy for everyone. We will definitely recommend this place to other family members visiting the area.

Very comfortable house equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of blankets, towels, kitchen and bath supplies - including spices, ziploc bags, paper towels, tissues, laundry soap, lotion, etc. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable. Nearby Mad River Beach was a beautiful place to visit and a very nice drive! Gas and groceries very close by too.

Erin's place was adorable! The decor was cute and inviting. Our dogs loved the private yard. Erin was very communicative, giving detailed instruction about arrival, and we felt welcome the moment we walked in. It is worth mentioning that the bed is really tall. If you're vertically challenged, like me, you might need a boost. It's very comfy once you're up there though. I'd gladly stay at Erin's place again!

We stayed here for one night and had a wonderful experience. This cozy countryside farmhouse is a peaceful retreat. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the chickens in the yard added a charming rustic touch. The host was very welcoming, and her care could be felt in every detail. We especially appreciated the recommendations for nearby places — they were thoughtfully written in the house manual, which was very convenient. Thank you for the warm hospitality and for making our short stay so pleasant!
