Cozy sun-filled studio apartment located in Arcata a block from Humboldt State University, and just three blocks from vibrant downtown Arcata, an interesting university town with gourmet restaurants, cafés and eclectic little shops nestled between Humboldt Bay and the redwoods. The studio apartment easily accommodates three with a comfy queen bed and full size futon.The futon is perfect for one adult or two children. Fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook for yourself. Furnished with a beautiful mix of antiques and unusual flea market treasures, oriental rugs, original artwork. Parking on the alley, private entrance, access to the lovely, private flower-filled garden. Arcata's Redwood Park has extensive trails through the big trees a short walk away, just a few blocks from the apartment. Ocean beaches are a ten-minute drive. Cable TV, dvds old school vinyl record player and records, Ethernet Internet connection. No minimum stay, no cleaning or service fees. Smoking is allowed, but only in the garden. Downtown Arcata is just a seven minute walk down the hill where you will find more restaurants and unique shops on the plaza.

The YumYum Bungalow Cottage

The YumYum is an eclectic studio cottage nestled between town center and the redwood forest. The Community Redwood Forest, Cal Poly, and the Arcata Plaza are all just a short, lovely neighborhood walk away. The cottage was lovingly created using all natural (and often local materials). Most of the wood is salvaged old-growth meaning it might be as old as 2,000 years! Hosting is our passion and we take pride and joy in the honor to welcome you.
