I came to visit my son and enjoy the surrounding redwoods, but ended up having to stay indoors a lot more than planned, and I was very, very comfortable in Sara's place. The kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you need; I loved the firm mattress; and, being an avid reader, I loved the comfy chair in the bedroom and the bright lighting throughout. It's situated in a very quiet neighborhood, and a lovely Café is just a stone's throw down the hill. Sara's personalized Welcome sign made me feel right at home, and she was always very quick to respond when I reached out. I just really liked the place and enjoyed my stay very much!

what more could you dreams of when you wake up and there are dear grazing underneath your balcony, amazing experience ! well worth the minor detour we have taken.

An absolutely stunning garden; we loved reading in it and in the loft space. It's also a close drive to all the Redwoods State and National parks.

A very nice place. In a great location, attractive and cosy with a patio outside. Clean and well furnished with everything we needed; a comfortable bed and nice linens. A great grocery store and cafe are very near, and there’s easy access to central Arcata. Christy provides lots of information and is very responsive to communications. We really enjoyed our visit and would love to stay again.

This home is perfect for a family! Plenty of communal space and the most well stocked rental kitchen we have ever had which was perfect since we made our Thanksgiving dinner there on this trip. The view from the home and deck is gorgeous!! We had an excellent stay.

We had a great time visiting family and friends and it was made even better by the comfort and privacy of Adam's place. After traveling all day with a toddler it was lovely getting to just go into the bungalow and decompress for a bit. During our week there Adam gave us plenty of privacy, but made sure to check in. He even checked on us when he knew our son wasn't feeling well. The spot is close enough to walk to anything on that side of town, but tucked away enough that our 2 yr old had a peaceful mid-day nap every day. Check-in and check-out were easy. Would stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is clean and cozy, the outdoor shower is also super enjoyable. We brought our e-scooters and it was a quick trip to downtown for the farmers market and dinner. Highly recommend this location!

We had an amazing stay. We rented the room in her house and the tiny home in the backyard because there were three of us. Irene and her partner were warm and welcoming while also giving us the rest and privacy we needed. All the spaces were clean and warm and quiet and accessible. We were so comfortable and at home! Added bonus, her dog Cider is so sweet.

Beautiful peaceful retreat. Very close to neighboring towns and beaches, but far enough way you feel you are in the forest. The sauna was a nice treat.

The home was clean has a comfortable bed, kitchen is well equipped . SuperQuiet location!! We will definitely be back.

Perfect place for my transition while I was relocating. It was such a peaceful and comfortable place to make my home while in the process of buying a house in the area. Sara and Peter were wonderful hosts. They made me feel like I really belonged here. Exceptionally quiet and serene home. I couldn't imagine a more inviting place to retreat to while I worked through the moving process.

Kathleen's place is wonderful. Everything I needed was there. In a short drive, I started the day hiking in the redwoods, had a nice lunch in a nearby town, and spent the afternoon on a beautiful bluff overlooking the ocean.

The Forest Grotto was absolutely beautiful. The space was clean and beautifully renovated, from decor down to the utensils, everything seemed to be very high quality and carefully selected. The natural surroundings were better than what we could have imagined, it’s tucked away in a quiet, homely neighborhood. Ms Diana went above and beyond for our family get away, we truly appreciate the kindness and warmth she welcomed us with. She was a wonderful resource for recommendations and so quick to respond.

We truly enjoyed our time. The place was very clean, stocked, and quiet. We felt that we had privacy and comfort. It was nice to know that our host was only a text message away if we needed anything. There was also a board in the studio with suggestions of places to eat and explore which was awesome! We tried some of them and were not disappointed. Thank you for welcoming us into your home.

We loved our stay in Blue Lake! Jason was an excellent host and made sure we had all the things we needed. Check in and check out was easy. The town of Blue Lake is so cute, its a short walk to the coffee shop and town bar. I would love to stay here again!

I stayed here with my dog during a long road trip. The space is very comfortable and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful and the location is convenient to walk to the lovely main street of Ferndale. Alexa is a thoughtful, friendly hostess and was very pleasant to communicate with.

Simple space with beautiful surroundings. It’s a great jumping off point for exploring the redwoods.

Beautiful location, spacious and comfy accommodations. Bed was big and the blankets were warm. Visits from the neighbors cats was the cherry on top.
