Vacation rentals with lake access in English Channel

The lodge was in a beautiful setting, perfect for families, a lovely safe environment. The accommodation itself was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean, the bathrooms were lovely, with towels and toiletries included. Upstairs was particularly spacious with amazing views. The hosts kindly provided us with initial provisions, like tea and coffee. It’s a great base to explore the surrounding area, and a lovely space to return to. I would definitely recommend this beautiful holiday home, and would return with my family.

North Quay was an absolutely stunning town house with spectacular views of the estuary and evening sunsets. The home was immaculate and had quality fixtures and fitting. Close to the town, shops and even closer to the beach and beach cafe, we had the best time here. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation and we will be going again soon.

Great stay at Sophie and David's. Very clean, functional, comfortable and quiet accommodation. The location is superb with the Seine right there for a stroll. Regarding the parking space, we did not dare to park there because it was narrow and required a lot of maneuvering, but there are parking spaces nearby so it was not a problem. Hosts are very responsive, good communication. In summary, we recommend this listing!

Little heaven that Aleksa and her family managed to create. The building itself is an old stable which is a unique experience to stay in. The house has been tastefully decorated with all the details thought through to make the stay memorable. The garden, the surroundings and the whole place feels like a dream tale with lots of history to tell. And you can see how much love and effort was put in this place to make it so beautiful. Last, the hosts were amazing, super responsive and welcoming!!

There were 5 of us during this end-of-year period, with very wintry weather. The house exudes a beautiful harmony of volume, decoration, comfort that it was really a haven during these 4 days of family reunion. In addition, the excellent fiber connection delights the youth (4 young people, students and young couple) who remain devilishly connected if they wish and allows remote work too. The environment and the house itself contribute above all to "disconnection", and rest. It offers, with the magnificent Blavet and its valley 100 meters away, even more connection with nature and outdoor sports. Thank you very much to Stéphane for the care taken in every respect and for the kindness of the exchanges. I highly recommend Pont Augan and the house.

Lovely stay at Jim's! Had a slight issue with heating but Jim was quick to respond and sort it out. Clean house with good wifi. Would stay again if we visit the area!

Apartment like a hotel, with a beautiful environment. It feels like being on a boat and super quiet. Odile was very attentive (attention to detail in the apartment, and everything we needed for cooking). And on top of that, she responded to a last-minute equipment request. Anyway, I would highly recommend it!!

Cannot fault this place and if this is the area you wish to visit, this is the place to stay. The loft is spotless with ample room and a lovely sunrise over the lake across the road is not to be missed. Jen is a terrific host and extremely friendly and approachable. She is proactive in the communication and offers extremely helpful advice on directions and things to do in the area. I will be looking to go back to the area again later this summer and will certainly be looking to stay with Jen again!

Beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings. We felt very at home and it is a great location as close to lots of places to visit. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Such comfy beds! 😊

From the moment we booked Anna was friendly and helpful, with a lovely welcome on arrival. The barn is extremely peaceful and in an idyllic setting. Well-furnished and with some extra touches that were greatly appreciated. Wells was a very short drive away, and Glastonbury and the surrounding area no more than 15 minutes. We would definitely look to return and will also recommend to family and friends looking for a bit of peace and quiet.

Clean, cosy, peaceful home. As described and looks like the photos. Sandra was friendly and proactive in communication giving us great tips for the dog friendly pubs. Perfect base for us visiting local friends but wanting a bit of space and privacy & the added bonus of dog treats ready for our pampered puppy. All made for a great stay.

Lovely weekend at Long Stable. Andrew welcomed us very warmly, ensuring we were settled in once we arrived. Beautiful location, secluded, peaceful and incredibly quiet. Hard to access without a car, but perfect if you want to get away from it all. The barn itself was bright and clean, and the underfloor heating gave a nice ambient warmth. Lighting the wood burner made things really warm - wood, kindling and eco-friendly fire lighters were all provided with clear operating instructions. Bedrooms were comfortable, located at either end of the barn, with bathrooms next door. French doors from every room open out onto a sunny patio with uninterrupted views of surrounding countryside. Kitchen was well equipped and we found it very homely to eat in. Good base for exploring local area. Hastings 30 mins. Farleys House & Gallery (30 mins), a personal highlight, along with Michelham Priory (which you can do in one day with a bit of planning). Great host + lovely location = wonderful weekend.

Had a fabulous stay at Olivia’s Orchard cottage. Lots to do with farm animals around, Games room, outdoor games and lots of walks to relax and unwind at the property. Property was in proximity to Plymouth and Looe and found it very convenient to explore by car from here.

Our stay at Marble cottage was simply beautiful ❤️ there isn't anything more you could wish for in marble cottage. The location is so peaceful and beautiful and the cottage itself has gorgeous, tranquil energy. Thank you Maite for being an incredible host ❤️

Five wonderful days at Garden Cottage exploring Exmoor with a view to retirement. The cottage is ideally located in Timberscombe fifty metres or so from the A396 on the east side of the moor. Karen really went out of her way for us. It’s nice to stay somewhere that provides the basics you need rather than clearing them out after each visitor. The homemade bread was a nice touch thank you. The cottage was lovely and very quickly felt like home. As it is February we used the wood burning stove but as the heating is so good it wasn’t necessary. There is a good size garden with parking outside. We were fortunate with the weather and managed to visit many of the local attractions. I would recommend Dunkery Beacon on a clear day, Porlock and Porlock weir, Lynton and Lynmouth and Dunster. Living in East Sussex we are spoilt with brilliant towns - Hastings, Eastbourne and Lewes. Minehead was comparable though with a lovely seafront and historic buildings. A definite retirement contender.
