Family-friendly vacation rentals in English Channel

Beautiful place and great hosts, really enjoyed it, joy explained everything in advance and was easy to understand instructions, loved the thoughtful breakfasts, many thanks guys! Oh the drive is narrow but easy to find and negotiate down with plenty of space to turn around at the bottom, highly recommend.

What a wonderful place to stay. The peace I sought was found, the relaxation that was so much needed was there and very much welcomed. Days spent walking in the New Forest were finished with a chilled glass of wine in the hot tub that was tended daily by a really lovely chap. The lodge was spacious, clean and comfortable with the basics of equipment there for your use, which is helpful. The whole experience is one I shall repeat and have already begun to tell others to check it out too

We chose Sunspan to celebrate our friend’s birthday weekend. We were so impressed with the house and it’s layout, but mainly it’s location walking distance to the beach. Clear instructions from Rachel made our arrival easy. The house was just as the pictures, the location at the end of the cul de sac offered fabulous views of the fields and a fabulous sunrise. The lounge had more than enough sofas for all our group and the inside and outside tables did also. The kitchen was modern and well appointed. The bedrooms were spacious and well furnished. The house is close to the town of Bude which has all amenities.Port Isaac , Boscastle, Padstaw are all within comfortable driving distance. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunspan, the weather was amazing, so we were able to use the outside space for drinks and meals. Perfect for our needs, would stay again

We had such an amazing stay at this place! Came with a group of friends and all our kids, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The house was super clean, spacious, and had everything we needed—from a fully stocked kitchen to comfy beds and even toys and games to keep the little ones happy. The outdoor area was a total bonus—great space for the kids to run around while the adults relaxed. The location was ideal too—peaceful but still close enough to park, caffe and pub. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive, which made everything so easy. I’d recommend this spot to anyone—families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Just spent a very relaxing couple of nights at Helen’s stunning cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful, extremely clean and has everything you could need for your stay. It has plenty of room for a family but there was only two of us so it felt really spacious. The gardens are just absolutely beautiful, lovely views, with lots of nature around, happily sat out to eat meals on patio whilst listening to the birds and watching the horses and helens dogs. We sunbathed on the sun loungers on the grass in the afternoons, which was bliss. there is a lovely large Hot tub which was a lovely added bonus which we relaxed in the evenings with a couple drinks. Helen recommended Lyme Regis for a day which we did, and It did not disappoint we had a lovely day out there. We definitely will be returning to this cottage for future breaks. we will now find it difficult to find another place that will offer the same accommodation and amenities with the gardens and views as here. The place was amazing!! Very private, great responses from Kevin and his daughter Jasmine they were very friendly. Bed was super comfy and lots of storage if you are planning to stay for a week/longer. We will definitely be coming again. The hot tub was a bonus and explained very clearly how to use it! Super flexible check in time!

A lovely place to stay, in walking distance of the beach and Weymouth centre. Hot tub and other facilities were very good and the place was clean, stylishly furnished and comfortable. Host was responsive when we had an issue (many thanks to Lorraine the cleaner too who was lovely and very helpful!)

Marc and Karen’s place was ideal for our stopover for the channel tunnel trip. Very friendly and welcoming plus some touches that helped with our early departure - highly recommend

We stayed 5 days in Dinan and were charmed by the city and delighted with the location of the apartment. We felt at home in the apartment. Everything is clearly stated by Julie which allowed us to have perfect autonomy. We recommend this home warmly. I would also like to take advantage of this review to recommend the restaurant l 'Antre nous, rue Haute voie 20, which is excellent.

We were a party of ten adults and one child staying at Martin’s home for the weekend. The property was superb, wonderfully decorated and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The gardens were beautiful. We were lucky to be blessed with fabulous weather and made the most of it. We were also lucky to be visiting during lambing season. Watching lambs being born was quite an experience. I would highly recommend this property and hope to revisit again one day

Really great value, finished to a good standard and very clean, had everything we needed for a base for the long weekend with two small children and a small dog. Coms were really quick and Amanda was very friendly and accommodating. Has a great parking space and really close to the beach and southbourne. Thanks for our stay

Richard and Mo were great hosts and provided us with all the information required to meet our expectations. Richard met us on arrival and it was lovely to have the basics for breakfast provided for each morning, which was an added surprise and very welcomed. This facility was perfect for my wife as she has mobility issues, and the Airbnb is all on one level with walk-in shower, so made moving around was made so much easier. We would highly recommend staying here, and will look to rebook for our next visit to Devon.

Thank you Abi, right from jumping in and rescuing me from having booked the wrong day you've been exceptionally lovely. Thank you. My sons, dog and I had a speedy, last min but perfect trip to the Writers' Retreat. We were wowed by how much we enjoyed Ramsgate and how quickly we got there from London. Just pure loveliness all round. I'll be back and can imagine myself taking a trip on my own for reading and sleeping as recovery from work (the bed was so comfy!) also plan to return with a couple of friends for catching up and my boys want to come again. Coffee was perfect and too the popcorn supply. Thanks Abi, all thoughtfully done and, well, that's good for anyone's soul, ain't it?!!

We had a lovely time staying at the cottage. The cottage was a great base for our exploring round the Isle of Wight. I can imagine the decking area is lovely in the summertime. Lots of space out the back for our dog to run around outside. The rooms were good size and clean and the kitchen well stocked with utensils and cooking items. Gail was very helpful and responsive and we are very grateful!

The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was perfect — close to everything yet peaceful and quiet, offering the ideal retreat after a day of exploring. Communication with the host was seamless; they were incredibly responsive, kind, and made me feel truly welcome. Excellent location and hosts. Beautiful, Serene surroundings. Peaceful and quiet. Hosts Valerie and Tony were wonderful and so was their property. Beautifully set up and decorated, including some photographs taken by Tony himself. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet stay. A bit far from the usual places, meaning you will need your own transportation. But well worth it. Look forward to staying there again

We stayed over the Christmas week. It’s always a worry as to whether there will be sharp knives, enough trays while cooking Christmas dinner etc but I need not have worried as there was everything we could possibly have wanted. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and all items were clean, good quality and plentiful. The whole property was very comfortable, warm and spacious. Outside areas were accessed by the grandchildren, they enjoyed a daily swim. The system for booking is excellent. We managed to have a brief game on the tennis court and the children had a little time in the play hut and on the equipment. The zip line was a real hit. It would be lovely to be able to return when the weather would allow more use of the great outdoor facilities. Laura and Richard are great hosts. Brilliant communication prior to arriving. A great in person welcome too on arrival. We hope to return and can highly recommend Mullen at Pitt farm

A big thank you to Celine for her availability and responses to our requests. The house is perfect for enjoying a few days or more with friends or family. It is ideally located and the heated pool is very pleasant. Looking forward to coming back Adrien

A pleasant stay at Pascale's, the accommodation is as described. The layout of the cottage makes it a very private place, and in good season the terrace and pool still need to improve the experience!

A perfect weekend in the countryside and less than 20 minutes from the sea. The accommodation is perfectly equipped and impeccable! The setting is very pleasant, the mini farm, the tennis court, ping pong table, swimming pool, everything is as described, very easily accessible. We'll remember the address, we had a pleasant time with the family in this little corner of paradise.
