Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Downtown, Durham

We visit our son and DIL who live nearby, and know we would love to book this home in the future. Michael took a chance on us, allowing me to host a family dinner in honor of a special family occasion. It was magical. The back porch lends itself to gatherings with friends and family. I loved sitting on the front porch overlooking the pond with my coffee watching the various birds, including hummingbirds. The house was well-appointed, comfortable and stocked with necessities. The shower in the master bathroom was total LUX! Mainly, Michael was one of the most responsive and enthusiastic hosts I’ve worked with in my many years of staying at AirbnB’s. Thank you so much!

Heather’s place is spectacular. It is beautiful, clean, and has everything you need. It exceeded our expectations and we would definitely rebook here. We have stayed at a lot of Airbnbs over the years and Heather’s the best I’ve seen yet.

This was such a cool house! Plenty of space for our family to spread out but also had nice areas to gather. The neighborhood was beautiful and the house was very close to restaurants, activities, and UNC campus. We loved our stay!

Jill’s place was great! Close to everything we wanted to do and ample parking. The beds were comfortable and the decor was modern and beautifully done. The amenities were plentiful (the snacks were a nice touch!) and the kitchen had everything we needed. We weren’t able to use the backyard as intended due to the weather but the grill and patio were still great!

The house and Cam were amazing! We were staying at a different Airbnb when the A/C went out. Cam responded to my message around 9:30 PM and had us settled into this beautiful home by 10! The house is just as impressive—absolutely gorgeous.

Perfect for what we needed- location, amenities, size, price etc. The house is older and the area is in transition, but this didn’t bother me as the price and location were perfect. Joshua made it very homey with all the amenities you could need and the primary bedroom bed was very comfy!!

We have stayed at a good number of AirBnbs, but this was our first long term rental. Jenn was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout booking and staying for two months. This was a great home for our family of four to "land" in Durham- appliances, utilities included, inside space, and proximity to downtown being ideal for us. If you are averse to occasionally hearing gunshots or seeing drug use in the park across the street, this might not be the home for you.

For my first time being in North Carolina, it truly helped elevate the experience with such a beautiful location filled with trees surrounding and nature. Mohmeet was always responsive and attentive to anything I needed and worked their best to provide the very best. Price was also amazing, thank you for making my first time in North Carolina much more memorable for me and my partner! ❤️

Bridget was a lovely host, very quick in responding and super helpful. The place was awesome! Stayed here for four weeks during a business trip. Easy check-in, kitchen was well equipped, bed was very comfortable, all in all very happy with the accommodation.

Our stay here was enchanting! This historic home is beautiful and if given the chance, we'd love to stay here again. Perfect sleeping quarters, every convenience thought of, plenty of work and lounge space--and play space with the outside trampoline and equipment! Very close to Cat's Cradle in Carrboro for music shows, which is why we stayed here--which worked out perfectly! Thank you for the wonderful stay and sharing your home with us.

I loved everything about Jeanette's tiny house AirBnB. I felt inspired to have stayed there for three nights. I got a lot of work accomplished for my clients while staying there. As well as now feeling rested and ready for the next leg of my journey. Even the exterior and interiordesign of this tiny house inspired me. I hope one day I'll be able to design and build something that evokes the same feeling of spaciousness in such a small space—perhaps as a studio for my creative projects that might also double as a place where my visitors might stay. Highly recommended!

Great stay with a rustic experience. Loved hearing the rooster when i arrived and the frogs at night. The Magnolia tree smells amazing. Definitely off thr beaten path and a great get away for fast paced city folks. The studio had some many detailed touches and was very nice!

This little studio in the woods is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway in nature. Lina’s place has incredible surroundings, a beautiful garden, and peaceful sounds all around. There’s a lot of great hiking a short drive away and the screened-in porch is a delight! I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to book this spot again for another calm weekend.

This was not my first stay at the Scout House, and it will not be my last. Everything about it is perfection - from the location, to the property, to the sensational hosts (Marie & BJ). My stay was delightful in every way and I cannot wait to return!

This may have been my sixth stay, and it was even more homey and restful than ever. It was good to be there for a couple of days after an intense work conference. I hate to talk up Barb and The Cozy Cabin too much, because I want it to be available for me next time. It’s such a nice place to be as well as being a fantastic value.

Wiene is a very attentive and thoughtful host. The cabin is just as pictured in the listing and the setting is very peaceful, nestled in the woods in a private compound. The peacocks are beautiful and very entertaining. The location is very convenient to get around Chapel Hill and not far from Raleigh and Durham. Great little find.

10/10 would absolutely recommend! Super cozy for a girl's weekend. The grounds are gorgeous, peaceful and private. We loved hanging down by the pond and walking through the woods. Inside is comfy and cozy. I had trouble opening the door when I first got there and Daniel was super responsive, calling within seconds to help me. Of course I was able to get it open right as he answered. The place is perfect and my 5 star review is accurate, we would absolutely stay again - but just a heads up the owners are offering a free return night in exchange for a 5 star review, which may bias some reviews.

This was truly a stunning cabin. The pictures did not do it justice. There are some chickens on the property which was the highlight of the trip for my two sons. My oldest was able to catch fish in the lake. Ben gave very detailed instructions on how to find the cabin and even left us some fresh eggs in the fridge. He responded quickly to my questions. The house was stocked with all needed amenities and the beds were extremely comfortable. The cabin is in a beautiful secluded spot but still very close to the places we wanted to see in Raleigh and Durham. We had a great stay here and would absolutely book again.

This was a really really cute stay. My family and I enjoyed our stay and was surprised how efficient the whole space was regardless off the small home. Very clean, had multiple kitchen utensils, washroom is clean, the sleeping area was quite fun. Lot of options there too. Overall 10/10!! Liz and her co-host were very helpful and responsive.
