Vacation rentals with lake access in Burke County

Jake was very accommodating. With the Hurricane destruction that had occurred, Jake still went out of his way to make sure myself and the guests were heard and seen and made to feel safe.

this is a great location. comfortable home. close by for relatives visiting. don't want people to find it. we love having it for our family. we will be back

Lisa was a very responsive host and we appreciate that the property is dog friendly! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items for our stay and the bathrooms were pristine. It's a new home, so everything is spotless and comfortable. The host lives on site, but we barely heard them while we were staying there.

We enjoyed this beautiful home, peaceful area, and lovely views from the porch and dock. AMAZING fall colors and sunsets. Kelly is kind and responsive, and the home has so many amenities to ensure guests are comfortable and feel at home. Plenty of space to gather as a group or relax in a quiet spot for coffee and reflection. We reserved for our daughter to participate in the Fonta Flora 50K at nearby Lake James State Park. That was postponed, so we were able to volunteer at the park with other race participants to help clear and reroute trails in the state park. We were welcomed with friendly, open arms by restaurant and shop owners in the quaint cities of Marion and Black Mountain. So good to see and experience people loving each other and helping to rebuild after the hurricane. Definitely will return!!

Sarah's place is lovely and quiet, overlooking the golf course and a view of the mountains. The neighbors were delightful, which added to the charm of our stay. The place was comfortable and spacious. Great to have the extra room and bath on the lower level, which makes it even more private. If you're looking for a place in the mountains near a lake, would recommend.

Despite being at the air bnb during Hurricane Helene we had a great time. Matt is accommodating and easy to work with and the home was great! Lots of room and bathrooms with a great kitchen space. Our power was only out minimally compared to other places around us and the community came together to cut fallen trees to open up the roads. We appreciate Matt so much and enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful lakefront house was great for our group! The house is a bit dated throughout, but the incredible location on a quiet inlet and amazing outdoor space more than makes up for it. Sitting on the screened in porch was a great space to gather. We also got a great rec from Lori for a pontoon boat rental which was dropped off right at the dock for our use. Will definitely be back!

Serenity Summit is a mountain gem! The 4 bedrooms are spaced out across the house and there are three living spaces to relax in. Open kitchen with everything we needed. Hosts were so kind and responsive to our questions and needs. There was plenty of parking space for our family coming together for our daughter’s wedding. The home is located in a gorgeous gated community with incredible views of the mountains. But…..If your husband’s dress shirt, as Father of the Bride, wasn’t packed and you realize the night before at 9:40pm…..FYI the closest Walmart is 37 minutes away and thankfully doesn’t close until 11:00. We definitely plan to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the incredible outdoor living areas at the house and the lake in the neighborhood. Thank you for your hospitality Victoria!

This was a great place to stay—great amenities with beautiful, serene lake views. This was a great place to stay for a relaxing family vacation. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked this place suddenly while in town for a funeral, last minute. We needed a place to house 6 of us for 2 nights. This place did the trick! Everything was lovely. We will definitely be back in the summertime to enjoy the lovely deck and pool! December isn't quite pool season! so next time for sure!! One note: the kitchen is in need of a strainer. unfortunately, there wasn't one, and spaghetti was a meal we planned to feed our large group. we made it work! just and FYI for whoever may be reading this =) Overall, what a great little house in a beautiful area!

Catawba River Cottage is a beautifully decorated, very clean home with well-thought out amenities. Best of all, it has a peaceful view right on the Catawba River. We loved that the home has plenty of outdoor seating spaces for enjoying the views. We especially enjoyed sitting on the dock. We would definitely return in the future.

We had an amazing stay at the lake house! The property was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The highlight of the stay was definitely the lake—perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The combination of a clean and comfortable home with the natural beauty of the lake made for a wonderful getaway.

The home was lovely and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency and were unable to stay both nights. The host offered to refund us for the night, which was unexpected and so kind. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay near the lake. We hope to return when the weather is warmer and Marina is open.
