Vacation rentals with lake access in North Carolina

Our weekend was amazing. The main floor is large and very open and made it easy for our group to hang out and eat together. The lake is literally just 25 feet or so away from the house. It is February, so we were mostly inside, but quite a few of our high schoolers did jump in the water a few times for a polar plunge. Great value in the off season, great house, and great hosts.

Million dollar views! We enjoyed our stay beautiful views of the sunset right on the lake. This place was so peaceful. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Scott communicated and checked on us during our stay. Will definitely stay again!

The house was exactly as advertised. Incredibly clean and well stocked. Easy to get in and even smelled great. The kitchen was equipped with EVERY utensil we possibly needed. We were only able to use the paddle boards on our last day due to weather but they were great when we did. Also enjoyed a campfire and saw a million stars on clear nights. Overall we loved the place and felt right at home.

The home was very comfortable, clean, and beautifully updated. The large screened in porch allowed us to enjoy a lovely view in a quiet location of the lake. Landscaping and dock area were attractive and provided lots of fun. It was obvious the owners took great pride in providing thoughtful amenities for their guests to have an enjoyable experience. The only thing that didn’t work for us was taking our boat out of the water there on the property. The gravel driveway made it too difficult to get the traction needed to pull trailered boat up steep incline. The alternative was to drive approximately 10 minutes to Buddle Creek Wildlife Boat Launch to trailer boat upon departure. We enjoyed our stay at this High Rock Lake home and hope to rebook next year.

I cannot say enough positive things about this place! Beautiful setting, beautiful house, and oodles of amenities. Enough room for everyone to have their own space. Amazing value and fantastic host! Do not hesitate to book this place!!

We had a great stay and enjoyed the spaciousness of the home. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the upper deck as well as the fire-pit and patio. We all agreed it would be fantastic to stay in the summertime.

This was such a lovely Airbnb! Squeaky clean, walkable to beautiful Lake Junaluska and just a few minutes to hiking and downtown Waynesville. You can really tell Steve and Susie want their guests to have a five star stay with so many thoughtful touches such as bottled water, coffee, tea, half and half, biscotti’s card games and an abundance of books and guides about the area. There was a private table and chairs outside for a glass of wine or a meal which we loved and the bed was so comfortable. I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless and beautifully set up, making it feel like a home away from home. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, from the essentials to thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special. Jeff, the host, was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond to any questions I had about the house. I highly recommend staying here – it’s a fantastic spot!

Loch Norm Lair is beautiful and relaxing. Great neighborhood. Just the peaceful week we needed. Rick and Judy are extremely friendly. Rick loves to share his boat and will take you for a ride. We sat and talked with them on several occasions and shared a dinner at a restaurant. The place is well cared for and a great deal, very reasonable pricing. It was a shame the sailboat wasn't working, would have loved a ride. We are already talking about a return trip in warmer weather to fully enjoy the water. Thank you so much for the beautiful week. This is a beautiful cozy setting right on the water. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate in order for us to enjoy outside much, but is it a wonderful find.

This was our second stay at Carolyn’s wonderful Airbnb, and it was just as perfect as the first! The lake views are absolutely stunning—peaceful, scenic, and the perfect getaway. Carolyn is a fantastic experienced host, thoughtful and welcoming. It felt like coming back home. Our dog got to join us, and he loved it just as much as we did! If you’re traveling with a dog, you can’t beat the accommodations of Carolyn‘s place. It’s so nice to find a place that’s both pet-friendly and convenient and nice and truly relaxing for humans. We can’t recommend Carolyn’s home high enough and will definitely be back again. Thank you, Carolyn, for another amazing visit!

Had an amazing stay, host was responsive and very helpful. Beds were also very comfortable and the view of the lake was amazing. There were also water bottles in the fridge which was a nice addition. I would recommend this place 👍.

Myself my boyfriend and my dog stayed and it was amazing. Gorgeous views and lake to walk around. Very clean and organized. Very close to downtown and other activities. We enjoyed our stay and the host kept in contact when we had questions. We would absolutely stay again.

This lakeside get-a-way was just as described. As we barely left the property, everything we needed was at out finger tips. Danielle was proactive from the onset and a great host. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. From kayaking to sipping coffee on the back porch, it was great. The beds were so comfy, and the kitchen was stocked with all the needs to make it easy to enjoy a cooked meal. We will return!

We had a wonderful stay celebrating our granddaughter’s 21st birthday! The house was exactly as described. It was extremely clean which is important. Zach responded when we needed to ask him a question. Renting the pontoon boat from Zach was an added plus for the day!

Jack is a great host. My wife and I enjoyed meeting him. He does not live in the BnB but is close by if you need him. He met us at the house and showed us around. The house is beautiful and right on the water. The boat ramp is 3 mins from the house. We will definitely be back!!

What a great location! The house was clean and tidy, and beds were comfortable. We spent the majority of our time on the dock or in the kayaks (2 one-seater kayaks and life vests of all sizes are provided). Christopher was quick to answer if I messaged with any questions, and was a pleasure to interact with. Zero complaints! Thank you for a great stay!

Really enjoyed our night here. Appreciated the clear instructions and everything is labeled well. The house and area is beautiful, sad it was too rainy to take advantage of the canoes. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent a week at Pebbys Place. It was so relaxing. We walked at the State Park and saw an amazing mural there. We took advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards, also the barbecue. The house is comfortable and has wonderful views of the lake. We fished, biked, paddled and enjoyed the amazing bird life from the dock and the canal.
