Barn vacation rentals in North Carolina

Wow! Talk about a fantastic place! Melody's place was very peaceful, quiet, and had a everything we wanted! There were a total of 6 of us staying and each bedroom was a good size, but the common areas were huge! The pictures do not do it justice! Melody was very responsive to my questions and provided some great local restaurants. Max the dog was awesome! He was there to greet us, hung out with us when we were outside, and even went on a little run with me! If you're looking for some peace and quiet, look no further!

The Barn Studio was a lovely place to stay for the 2 of us and our dog. All the furnishings were top notch and so comfy. Very clean and well thought out for the space. Quiet neighborhood and close to everything! Would highly recommend staying here! You will not be disappointed.

Such a beautiful, peaceful oasis! We loved the beauty, the goats, the comfy bed, the garden, seeing a bear, the plush towels and the proximity to town. Jana was very responsive and helpful. Definitely a 10/10 and we would stay here again!

Freddie was amazing! We had a great time and his place was WAAAAY more than we expected! It’s is definitely worth it. Freddy thought of everything 99% of what we packed to go camping we wouldn’t even have had to use because Freddy already thought of it and had it ready before we even got there. We will definitely be back 10/10 recommend and we felt right at home

Seth and his team were truly amazing. We were in town to help with relief efforts from the flooding and Seth helped us from the first moment I reached out. His home is amazing, the pictures don't do it justice. Every amenity you could think of is included. I highly recommend this home!

10/10! What an experience! This property is nothing like you ever experienced, unless you grew up on a farm 50 years ago. This property is not for the lazy, bougie or open-minded. If you want to experience nature, peace and bit of glamping then book “the egg” for an extended weekend. No noise or light pollution. The rushing creek sounds amazing 24/7. There are fascinating finds around every corner including the challenging corners you must drive to get here. Solar power run everything. The wifi worked great and the shower was always hot. Asheville is less than an hour away. Don is a wonderful host and answered any questions we had throughout the stay!

What a great spot. Tucked away, at almost the top of a mountain. Hot tub was great, and the home was very cozy. No A/C, but 3500ft of elevation makes up for it. Heed the 4wd warning. 95% of people won’t make it up in their Altima. And if you do, you’ll make a huge mess of the driveway. It is a minimally maintained gravel and rock drive. The house is worth the trip. Will be coming back.

The Barn was a great place for glamping; it was clean, projector and cots were enjoyed! The large kitchen area of the barn had a full sized refrigerator freezer and had 3 large glass door refrigerators like you’d see at a grocery store. There was a crockpot, coffee maker, plenty of dishes, plates, cutlery, etc. The bathhouse is steps away and very clean. There are curtains that don’t provide complete privacy in 3 stalls of the women’s restroom but one stall has a door and is private but that is also the shower. At least one stall can be used if you’d like more privacy. Bathrooms are very clean & spacious. The outdoor kitchen/covered dining area is perfect for eating or spending time with your group. The river access is across the street. There are rocky areas that create a rock slide that our kids enjoyed! The property does lie very close to the main road, even though it’s not a busy road. Be cautious with young kids/dogs. We’ll be back! Thanks Mo and Brenda!

Peaceful Nature Escape If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this barn apartment is exactly what you need. The space itself was thoughtfully designed and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay — a well-equipped kitchen, cozy furniture, and a super comfortable bed. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into creating a space that feels like a true retreat. What we loved most was the serenity — no traffic, no noise, just the peaceful stillness of nature. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch or stargazing at night, it’s the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to disconnect from the chaos and enjoy some solitude in a beautiful, natural setting

Hands down my favorite experience at an Air B&B. Everything was perfect. We loved the place - very clean, open, inviting and the beds were oh so comfortable! It was very easy to relax and also fairly close proximity to many great hikes -National Parks and local parks, kayaking, and shopping. I loved waking up to viewing 3 mother turkeys and their chicks in the mornings and the fireflies were out of this world in the evenings. We were able to cook with ease every day in the beautiful kitchen. I would highly recommend this beautiful “barn” house. Shelby has created a piece of Heaven on Earth on this beautiful property.

The retreat was extremely spacious and you felt right at home. Annukka was very responsive and friendly. It made for a wonderful family vacation ♥️

We were in Maggie Valley for JeepFest and booked The Barn for the weekend . We enjoyed our stay here very much- it was clean , organized and had everything we needed. The outdoor seating area was also adorable .There were many nice touches inside The Barn as well such as the coffee station, snacks and lots of information about things to do in the area.We really loved our stay here and next time we are in Maggie Valley we will definitely book here again.

The hosts are phenomenal. They go above and beyond to welcome you and make you feel at home. Everything looks exactly like pictures, which are spectacular. This is such a special property and we feel honored that we were able to stay here. The animals on the property are such an incredible addition. We loved every minute of our stay. Highly recommend staying here!

Picturesque setting to make family memories and wonderful location with lots to do both at the airbnb and surrounding area for kids of all ages. All could do their own thing and were happy. All accommodations were very comfortable and well appointed so that nothing was missed. The place was so unique and fun that even teenagers couldnt help but have a good time and bond with family.

The mountain views are absolutely stunning, and getting to wake up and see goats, alpacas, and cows roaming around added such a magical, peaceful vibe. It’s clear the hosts really care about the guest experience. Cozy and comfortable in every way—and honestly, the photos don’t do it justice. It’s even better in person. It’s also just a quick, easy drive into downtown Asheville, so you get the best of both worlds: nature and convenience. We also loved that it was pet-friendly (with just a small fee), which made our trip even more special. Highly recommend—this place is a gem and 100% money well spent

My son and I stayed at Mary’s place while he competed in a junior golf tournament. The location was extremely convenient to all Southern Pines and Pinehurst has to offer. The space was perfect for the two of us. We found the home to be spotless and full of all the basic essentials. Do yourself a favor and take a walk around the farm and enjoy the peace and tranquility. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area. The host are very responsive and welcoming. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

This was not my first stay at the Scout House, and it will not be my last. Everything about it is perfection - from the location, to the property, to the sensational hosts (Marie & BJ). My stay was delightful in every way and I cannot wait to return!

Adorable efficiency over the stables with everything you need in the kitchen and a comfy bed. Melissa made us feel right at home and really enjoyed our stay on the farm with some great restaurants close by. We'll definitely be returning!

This place was perfect for what I needed. Very close to the Green Way so my fur baby and I could walk. The location was close to grocery store, gas station and Dollar General. The home itself was welcoming, comfortable, had everything I needed and the perfect size for me. Privacy was perfect, although the family that lives in the main house is on the property, they never bothered me and was very friendly and welcoming. If I could have lived there forever, I would have!!!

We absolutely loved staying in this house - it was so cozy and charming, the fireplace kept us warm, it was a quiet location, super clean. The kitchen had everything and more. Lots of extra linens and towels. And we were pleasantly surprised to find a cabinet full of kids toys, books, and games that our little one was so thrilled about. Perfect spot for a family getaway.

My family had a wonderful time. The farm was very peaceful and felt off the beaten path yet still a short drive to Raleigh. The children had a great time playing in the creek and trails on the property. The farm tour was an added bonus. We hope to return.

This place is so beautiful and well taken care of. You can tell the hosts have curated the space and the yard with care and hard work. It has everything you need, plus many extras. We really appreciated the very clean hot tub, filtered water in the kitchen, and good coffee provided. Dani was very responsive and helpful. The location is amazing, so easy to get to downtown and a very pretty road to drive on.

Amy and her husband Weibe were very helpful and friendly. Perfect location for 2 weeeks of cycling in North Carolina. The dogs 🐕, cats 🐈 and horses 🐎 were great and always there to greet us ... of course feeding them helped them warm up to us.
