First, Doug and Marcia are lovely folks - warm and helpful. The views of their farm, the animals, and the mountains from the porch are terrific. The rooms are very clean and they make it extra nice with snacks and brochures with information about the area. We will be back!

Had a very nice getaway at the Maybell house! The property was private, peaceful and very clean. The house is not far from shops and restaurants. Would definitely come back!

We absolutely loved this place and our stay. Such a peaceful place plenty of space indoors and outdoors. Stocked with anything you may possibly need, felt right at home would stay again and would definitely recommend wish our stay would have been linger.

The hosts were very very responsive. Very clean Cabins too. Even though pets are allowed, there was no sign of pets inside, very well cleaned. We had a very small concern, and they were right there the second I messaged them! Very very helpful! We will definitely start booking our family reunion June stays here from now on!

I enjoyed my stay immensely! The no TV, no internet, technology free weekend was a great get-away for this workaholic! The screened in porch was my favorite place to lounge around. The mile long path around the pond was pleasant as was the fresh fruit available on Tom’s fruit trees. The birds, butterflies, herons, and rabbits added to the experience I was looking for. There is nothing more relaxing than watching nature in action. Rain or shine the cabin, the screened porch, and the walking path provided a serene get-a-way. It rained each day I was there and sitting on the screened porch watching the storm was fascinating (and I stay dried). The outdoor shower on the screened porch was an amazing experience!! Everyone needs to try one. Wow! The interior of the cabin is truly rustic and made of wood which added to the whole “nature” experience I was looking for. Tom was a wonderful host! I spent some time talking with him. He shared fascinating stories about the cabin and farm!

This place was simple and amazing! Such a gorgeous view - we wanted to sit outside in the rocking chairs all days. Perfect place for a small reunion with children. We would definitely rent again - hosts were super responsive.

Sam & Nicki were wonderful, my drive to NC took much longer than expected so I arrived late in the evening. They both were flexible and accommodating. The Shack was very comfortable, bedding, kitchen had everything you could need, great shower. Clean, quiet, peaceful and private. Fresh eggs and water along with new pillows provided with out request, eggs delicious! Woke up to be greeted by a friendly cow, pony and horse. I had to leave early my sister had a sudden heart attack and passed away, Sam and Nicki could not have been more kind. Told me to leave the shack without worry for cleaning it up, although I did my best in such a distraught state. They followed up to make sure I made it back safely and sent kind and comforting words and prayers. I hope I an able to one day revisit and would recommend a stay at the shack should u be in the area. Thank you for your hospitality, flexibility, fresh eggs, and understanding. Bless to have had the opportunity to spend time at the shack 💙🙏

We LOVED our time here! Local restaurants, wineries, the land and Lilly (their farm dog). Everything was perfect and so relaxing. My favorite was being in the hot tub under the stars. Beautiful views!! We will certainly be back

Insanely amazing stay!! So peaceful and calm to be surrounded by such beautiful nature and animals all around you. Waking up to the cows was an amazing sight and great way to start the day. The hosts themselves were so friendly and helpful with all the recommendations, this place is worth it 110% I can’t wait to come back!

Nice quiet get away from Fayetteville/Bragg. Wish we would have booked another night it was so nice! Hope we can make it back some day

This beautiful and cozy home had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. Our kids absolutely loved the outdoor space and the inside was clean with all the amenities we needed. Doris and Shanna really thought of everything and left little touches that meant a lot- s’mores ingredients and sparklers for the kids, comfortable bedding with extra blankets, family games etc. It’s been our favorite place we’ve stayed at thus far. We felt secluded but it was only a quick drive for food and outdoor adventures. If you want a mountain retreat to refresh your soul, look no further!

If you’re looking for a unique, memorable travel experience, Strouds Creek Farm is a must-stay spot in a must-see town. Rustic yet comfortable, private yet welcoming, Anne Marie’s suite is nestled against a beautiful wooded backdrop, with a water view from the patio and a short, scenic walk to the stables. There, we were encouraged to join in the chores, and we had an absolute blast visiting with the horses and goats while engaging in warm conversation with our dynamic host. Even our 9-year-old was put to work, and was rewarded with an opportunity to hold the resident rabbit! Anne Marie has thought of everything here (the mattresses are awesome; the kitchen is well-equipped; there are two smart TVs), and is an expert guide on all things Hillsborough and its environs. We miss Strouds Creek Farm already and plan on returning as soon as possible!

Great stay with our kids. We especially loved Lucky the goat. He became one of our family by the end of our stay.

This is a little slice of heaven. Mary and Harper sharing a piece of it was such a treat. It was a perfect respite from the norm that we needed. Even our dog noticed how special it was - making new doggie and horse friends. We would absolutely stay here again!

I enjoyed our stay here as it was nice to have some space but also not far from downtown Asheville

Great location for The Heavens Venue! Nice home! Beautiful creek in front yard! Peaceful but entertaining with all the animals surrounding the property! Just had a great experience! Would stay again

Vera’s place was absolutely wonderful. The animals, the view and the amenities. I was already wowed by the pics but the actual experience exceeded all expectations. My kid was in heaven and cried the morning we left 🙁 the farm is pretty quiet even though there’s quite a few neighbors on both sides. We were also very close to downtown Asheville - which has so many great little restaurants. There’s also several friendly farm kitties that hang out during the day and one who wont leave lap if you allow it. We will definitely be back!

Our trip was short, but this is a beautiful place. I certainly look forward to stay here again. Amazing views and quite location to stay.

We enjoyed our stay on the farm. It was cold outside, but we were cozy inside. We appreciated that the fridge had a few items (butter) that we forgot to bring, and there was plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. It is also very close to Grayson Highlands State Park. I recommend bringing your groceries in with you, as the closest store is about 30 minutes (which Tina helped us find). Thank you!

Heather was a great host, responsive, friendly and informative even before we finalized our reservation. We had a group of 10, including 3 kids. There was lots to do for them. As soon as we arrived, the located the basketballs and games in the garage and spent most of the time outdoors. It was great to see them away from electronics and videogames. The house was spacious and comfortable. Just what we needed for our large family. We look forward to staying on the farm again.

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was so nice and comfortable. We enjoyed swinging on the porch swing and roaming the yard looking at the animals. We even got to watch them care for the animals, which was great with the toddlers. They are all very friendly! We would recommend staying here to anyone!

We had a great time. A charming farmhouse in a peaceful setting. Couldn’t have asked for anything better than for a girls weekend of wine and relaxing. We felt right at home and had everything we needed. Rachel is a great host. We will definitely be back!!
