Cottage vacation rentals in Burke County

The cabin was as described, no frills, very comfortable but no ability to watch tv.

This space is super-clean, spacious, well-appointed, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a place to come home to after working in the area every day!!! I looked forward to getting there every day! The response time was super quick when I had any questions at all! Grab Door Dash, go out, or cook in! All great possibilities when you stay in Hilary’s place! I can’t say enough about the classy feel of the space and the amenities! She even had bottles of water, snacks, and Lindt Chocolates!! Everything worked famously! The home is super bright with beautiful sunshine when the curtains are open. The back door (9-pane) and the front door (3 slit panes) windows have no covering, so they add extra sunshine to the space! The couch and master room (was just me) bed (with very nice linens) are both super comfy. The bathroom, & all its accoutrements, felt like pure luxury! Also, plenty of storage space to stretch and put my things away, as if I was home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for our mini moon! My only wish is we could’ve stayed a few more days to enjoy all the activities. We really appreciate the host being able to accommodate us on short notice. The cottage was perfect for just the two of us and the hot tub was an added bonus.

This place is just beautiful! exactly as listed and even better. Private and quiet. not too far to get to local attractions (we saw Linville Caverns and hiked Linville Falls). very clean and well stocked. couldn't ask for a better vacation!

We are house hunting in the area. I won big points with my wife with our stay at Tim’s. It’s quiet, clean, and unique. The hot tub was really nice at the end of the day. We will definitely be back.

What an amazing place to stay! Every detail of this house was thoughtfully planned and decorated and included everything you need to make yourself at home. The kitchen and open area living space is fantastic with all amenities to create delicious meals while still hanging with family and friends. Very spacious and comfortable. Loved the lakeside deck, the screen porch and extra entertaining space under the main level with a grill. The lake has beautiful views from both the house and dock, great for boating or just relaxing. Thank you for making us feel right at home! We can’t wait to visit Hickory again!❤️

If I'm in the Hickory area again I will definitely try to book this house. It was very clean with plenty of amenities. The view was beautiful, and the hosts are very easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone that asked.

The cabin is set back from the road shrouded by trees. If you're expecting hotel grade interested, start at a hotel. If you want peace and quiet and close proximity to trails and scenic views, this is a great base camp. We didn't get to use the fire pit due to rain, but we made good use of the cabin.

Quant little house at Lake James. Very clean and tidy. We had a great time there went paddling with the 2 canoes that are at the property . We Would-Will come back again

We visit family on Lake James every Summer, but with three young children we wanted our own space while visiting this year. Alisa’s was the perfect spot for us! The beds were very comfortable, and we had everything we needed! Bones Jones was convenient for carry out just down the road, and Walmart Delivery brought us our staples. We will definitely stay again!
