Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Berkeley

Dre’s place was truly a cozy unit in a beautiful part of Berkeley that was very close to restaurants, Cal campus and the Berkeley hills - especially Tilden Regional Park with hiking trails and lakes. Dre was a very responsive and accommodating host!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Reuven's place. Reuven was a welcoming host with prompt responses . He checked in regularly during my stay to make sure I had everything I needed. I met Reuven a few times in person and he was always warm and friendly. The cottage itself was very comfortable and clean and had high quality amenities. It's located in a nice neighborhood and you can walk to pretty much everything including UCB. The off-street parking spot and brand new washer/dryer were especially helpful. I highly recommend the cottage to anyone visiting the East Bay and I would love to stay here again when I visit my daughter next time!

Very nice place to stay in Berkeley. You'll find everything you need in Megan's place. In sunny days, the patio is the place to be.

Lovely bungalow with an exceptional backyard space. Very comfortable beds, and fully stocked kitchen made for a great home away from home stay.

This place really lives up to its name - Urban Oasis. It should have the word paradise added to the description. I was looking for a place to host international guests and wanted a place which they could rest and have some privacy as they recovered from jet lag. As a local resident, I found it hard to believe that such a beautiful location existed so close by. The backyard reminded me of Hawaii. It was so beautiful and serene. Albena has gone above and beyond with all her unique decorative touches, supplies for the home (from phone chargers to best selling books). We used the kitchen quite a bit and it was stocked with pots, lots of dishes, and cooking utensils and supplies. Albena was so warm and friendly and super responsive and had some great tips for what to do. I even learned a few new things. My guests would have been happy to just stay in the home and enjoy it rather than venturing out to SF. I've already recommended this place to friends. It's so delightful!

Oh my goodness! I can hardly believe we got so lucky to book this place for our trip to Berkeley. I'll definitely book again on our next visit. Location: AMAZING. Walking distance to groceries, Philz coffee shop, BART, restaurants etc. House: Clean and comfortable. Great kitchen, multiple bathrooms, really comfy beds, basic necessities (towels, shampoo etc), low scent (huge plus if like me you suffer from asthma). Historic home in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of trees. Wonderful communication from Scott, super friendly and accommodating. Stop your searching. Just book!

We had a nice stay at this very cute Airbnb. Getting to it from the airport was a breeze and getting to UCB is a short drive. We would stay here again.

Had to extend a stay in Berkeley at the last minute and this listing was perfect. No hassle, comfortable, great location and beautiful garden. Appreciated it was small dog friendly.

Our stay was perfect for a quick trip to San Francisco. The Ashby BART is an easy 12 minute walk. Indigo and Kit are very welcoming and responsive. The home is beautiful, comes with gorgeous views and a very peaceful backyard. We enjoyed having breakfast and our coffee on the deck. My husband loved the colorful sheets, towels, and home. We'd definitely love to stay again.

Good location, easy to check in late. I'm glad they provided fans since it gets warm during the day but cooled down rapidly when we got back.

The complete Airbnb experience! This perfectly furnished, perfectly equipped studio tops any experience we have had recently for the top of the world/tree canopy feel you experience on the deck perched overlooking the bay! You really feel like you’re on top of a jungle canopy! Jan and his partner are incredibly attentive hosts too! Can’t wait to return.

Parents came to visit Berkeley, the place was great for hosting them. Joe was responsive and the place was super clean and well equipped!

Ruby's place is exactly as advertised - very comfortably appointed, walkable to some of my favorite spots in Berkeley, and the private garden seating area just outside the double-kitchen doorway was simply beautiful. I will definitely stay here again when back in the area!

We needed a place to stay with no notice following a house fire. Jeremy’s place was available and the hosts were so kind and attentive. The place is clean, quiet, light, and very comfortable., and spacious. The garden surrounding is pretty and peaceful. The location is also great - walkable to Berkeley’s famous 4th street with great restaurants and shopping. We would recommend this place highly.

Easy walk to Lake Merritt or 12th St BART stations. One block from Lake Merritt. Quiet building. Perfect.

Pamela’s home was a home Away from home . Very comfortable amenities, tastefully furnished , fabulous king bed and spacious bathroom . Pamela had thought of everything a guest might need or want . The apartment was private and quiet and the area felt very safe with lots of nice neighbour restaurants only a 10 minute walk away . Easy public transport options as well . A great stay!

Very convenient location, easy walk to UC Berkeley. Even though it's near a busy intersection, it felt very quiet and peaceful. The unit is much more spacious than I was anticipating and it was nice to have a complete kitchen. Al is a very kind and responsive host. I would definitely recommend!

Amy met me to give me the keys and walked me through the condo to explain everything. It was a very personal approach. She also reached out to me the first morning to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Everything was spotless and very high end. The place was very quiet and peaceful. I especially enjoyed the patio. I would highly recommend Amy's place to anyone looking for a base to enjoy San Francisco. I intend to stay again the next time I need a place in San Francisco for a few days.

We had a fantastic time. The view was second to none, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Great coffee shop within walking distance (albeit with a decent hill). We happened to stay when whales were just off the coast and saw them from the shore. Could not have asked for a better day. For those with mobility issues - you do need to climb about 10 narrow steps to get to the tram, which lets you skip the rest of the stairs. But there is no way around those first steps. Would absolutely come back.
