Making a 1000+-mile work trip, arriving at the guest room at John's was a most welcome experience: clean clear space, serene, pleasant. Told the host that had I known of his offering, it would have been worthwhile to have used his airbnb as a central location and traveled to other parts of the bay area to work. The clean and tidy bathroom was just across the hall. If desired, a guest would have access to a refrigerator and stove, though most guests normally dine out. After using airbnbs for jobs, I find that staying in a person's home works best for me. There are offerings which are homes with partitioned spaces, or rooms with numbers and locks on them, like dorms, which might work for some - a bit too impersonal for my tastes. So if a traveler is looking for a nice, quiet, and comfortable budget-friendly people-home, can recommend John's place in Oakland, CA.

The location is incredible: the proximity to Stinson Beach and other coastal cities, Mt Tamalpais State Park, and Muir Woods, while being a short drive from Mill Valley for restaurants, stores, gas, etc makes this Airbnb the perfect stay. Being right off the main highway to these areas but on a private and quiet street was great, and the views of the surroundings from the highway are gorgeous. On top of that, the cottage was lovely, and the hosts even more so.

Super chill especially for the week we stayed the space was perfect! The room itself was very clean and the outside patio was super cute just like the photo perfect little haven for smokers. Allison was very respectful and super communicative in terms of some maintenance being done on the main house that wasn’t going to bother us other than maybe some noise which wasn’t bad at all. Had a great time at the airbnb just a perfect spot to rest for the night if you have plans outside.

I had an amazing stay at Alina and Andrew's place! From the start, they were incredibly easy to communicate with, making the entire experience seamless. The property itself was stunning – clean, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed. I loved the little touches like the Breville espresso and the lovely backyard, which really made it feel like home. As a pet-friendly place, it was perfect for bringing my furry friends along. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the Bay Area, this will be my go to spot from now on! Highly recommend!

Pamela made it easy to find with detailed instructions and was very friendly with communication during our stay. The window view image does not do the views justice...incredible sunrises and beautiful foggy views. We enjoyed sitting on the private deck. There were lots of extras like the bed is adjustable and Pamela went above and beyond with snacks and drinks. This place met all of our needs. It comes highly recommended if you can handle the steep drive and steps. We felt very safe in her beautiful location.
