Monthly Rentals in Balur Estate

This was my second visit to the Captain's Bungalow. For me, it is a place for self reflection and a place to admire what nature has to offer in its raw form. People here are fantastic hosts and leave you with a come-back feel - Perumal, Kishore, Lakshmi akka, Sundaresh, Thimmanna, Anil they all pamper you with simple things but great value. Rooms are rustic and cozy. They provide Simple tasty Malnad food with Great Love - ask for customisation they will go all the way to fulfil. Dogs in the campus keep you entertained and are helpful walking partners, especially Boney and Pinky. Wherever you see there is greenery (if you crib about insects and fauna, it is not your place. This place is a part of undisturbed nature). All day orchestra by birds, peacocks and crickets. Love every bit of it here. Unfortunately some guests brought in urban noise and loud music to CB. Sad to see how some people want to live the same life in such peaceful places. Luckily they stopped it on request!

Quite and peaceful place. Very well maintained property. Amazing and friendly host. Served with good homemade food. Felt like at home. Highly recommended place.

Best place to stay and enjoy

The place is simply put beautiful and one with nature. So silent, no car horns and the freshness of the nature. the sounds heard were of the peacocks and peahens and the rain drops. Will definitely visit again. Two things to note 1. Breakfast is charged extra, but worth it. one of the best foods I have had. 2. The approach road is a kacha/unpaved/non tarred uphill road. Try checking in before dark, as although the road is level, in the darkness and for first timers it becomes an unknown.
