There are not a lot of options for lodging in Seldovia at the end of October. This lovely hotel is right on Main Street with incredible views from every window! The hosts were super responsive, and I was grateful for the WiFi as most areas around town, I had no cell service. Very clean and comfortable with a large back deck overlooking the harbor. Can definitely recommend :-)

Josiah was super accommodating, especially for the purpose of our trip. He started a fire right when we got there and was patient with our groups redirection on plans and needs for the evening, always offering to help and accommodate us.

Michelle and Kendall were incredible hosts. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the Lodge as our home base between hiking and fishing. The beautiful views cannot be captured in photos. We enjoyed our takeout dinner from the patio after a long day. Kendall helped me store our luggage before our hike, and even moved the bags up to our room for us. He also met me after hours with quarters for the laundry on site. We loved the kitchen staff and breakfast included in the rate. We hope to return again someday!

We specifically chose Randa's place due to its location for watching the bears fishing during the annual salmon run. (The fish didn't show up but we still saw bears most days) The room was #1 of 3 and was set up like a motel room, with 2 QS beds, a full bathroom and a small kitchenette with dining table. There are frypans and saucepans that can be used on the BBQ and microwave cooking in the room. The verandah had a table and chairs where you could sit and enjoy your coffee or wine while watching the bald eagles and bears around the river. There is a hot tub and a BBQ in a gazebo that is shared by all guests. Parking is right outside your room. We spent 6 nights here and were very comfortable and would return again.

This was my first trip trying out AirBnBs and the experience did not disappoint! This Fairbanks Hostel was WONDERFUL. Super clean, truly a central location, lots of walkable attractions and a lovely place to stay overall! I really appreciated the homey touches like board games and books; the atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, would 100% recommend and would love to stay again! Ivan was responsive and made check-in instructions super clear and easy. The Crepe place right next door was also delicious! I got to eat breakfast on the balcony and had a lovely view! As a lone traveler, I felt very safe in this location! Thank you for the awesome stay!

Great location for a overnight stay before heading to airport. Just what I was looking for- one bed / bathroom . Lots of light thru windows to brighten the room, semi blackout curtains to block the light as well. Safe location. Offer coffee, tea, and lemon water. Within walking distance of a good Thai restaurant.

After a long hike we were bummed to find out the hot tub was out of commission (it’s why we booked it) BUT it was a hot day and a jump in the lake was the next best thing. The place is super clean and there are a lot of thoughtful touches throughout. Jessica is a sweetheart and there’s clearly a lot of thought and love that goes into this place. I recommend for anyone coming to Juneau who wants a stay off the beaten path.

Mary Ann’s place was perfect for me as a solo traveler. The room is super clean and thoughtfully decorated. Her breakfasts are scrumptious. The house has a great location, within walking distance of the harbor, downtown, and the Sealife Center, and is 1-1/2 blocks from a town shuttle stop. The location is quiet. Mary Ann was very responsive answering questions before and during my arrival. While I was staying I had all the privacy I needed, but also knew that Mary Ann was easy to reach if I needed anything. I would definitely stay here again.

Hidden gem! If you have read a couple of negative reviews about the thin walls and are questioning whether you should book at the Highliner, I was right there with you! I can tell you that you will miss out on a great stay! I had no issues with noise, but I have stayed at many name-brand chain hotels where I did have problems with noisy neighbors. You take the chance anytime there are shared walls, right? The hotel is clean and cozy. The staff is fantastic. They took my terrible experience and went above and beyond to make my visit to Alaska incredible! Because I didn't know the area, I originally booked at another local hotel, and as a single female, I didn't feel safe! Upon my arrival at the Highliner, Amanda immediately took great care of me and brought a sense of peace to me. She helped me turn my Alaska experience from a nightmare to a fantastic one with her hospitality, recommendations for restaurants, and sightseeing. I can now leave with fond memories! I would recommen

Derek the owner was our host, he was absolutely amazing! He let us tag along fishing a couple of evenings!! The beach and waterfall was secluded and beautiful. We enjoyed chatting with Derek during our down time and he even let us do a lot of laundry!! The room was very clean, the shower was hot and the sheets were great! We can’t wait to stay next summer!

The lodge is great and Jenny is an even better host. We’re having our wedding here in August and feel very confident it’ll be what we’re hoping for.

A wooden walkway leads to the entrance of the White Moose Lodge, framed by warm exterior lights. Planters with hanging greenery add natural touches alongside the inviting lodge sign. The surrounding area features a tranquil wilderness setting, visible beyond the lodge.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at the white moose lodge in Healy! It wasn’t anything special in terms of hotel rooms, but it was absolutely spotless and in beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed eating at the 49th state brewery which is just right across the street and the Three Bears (grocery/gas/liqour) was right up the street. We loved being so close to Denali without being right inside Denali park for both the price and the privacy. We highly recommend!

Lands End Condo on the spot was a perfect getaway for three couples. Walking on the beach from the back porch was peaceful.

Wonderful stay at Lands End. Absolute stunning views and great location on the Homer spit. Even more beautiful than the pictures. Resort staff very helpful, friendly and responsive. Would absolutely return.

Everyone in our family of (9) enjoyed staying at Lori's place in Eagle River, Alaska. Plenty of room for everyone from ages 6 to 73. Seven bedrooms, four and one-half baths, a large kitchen and separate dining area for our family meals. Also, three separate lounge areas for family to relax or watch TV together. Outdoor deck with firepit and plenty of seating for everyone. The location, only 30-min from Anchorage, was near all the activities we had scheduled. Would definitely recommend for large groups.

Million Dollar View at Kennicott River Lodge

McCarthy is a hidden treasure. The Kennicott River's lodge is exactly like shown on the pictures. Cabins are located close to the Glacier View. The 2nd floor/main house apartment with balcony has an breathtaking view over the valley and glacier, we have never seen anything like this. McCarthy is great to unplug your wires, recharge, enjoy nature and wildlife, experience the local vibe of historic old toqn village life. The potato house is an amazing restaurant, great food, delicious. Plan a budget to take one of the 50/70/90 or 120 min flights offered by Wrangell Mountain Air, the best flight I have ever had in my entire life, over the largest glaciers in the region and next to Mt. Blackburn, a 5k (meters) mountain. i hope to come back one day, I am in love with this place. Thanks so much Nik and McCarthy!!
