Beachfront vacation rentals in Alaska

Tom is an incredible host and the place is equally incredibly beautiful. Tom is responsive and extended maximum help to ensure our needs were met in more ways than one and more importantly in a timely manner. His willingness to go out of the way to ensure our stay and other deadlines were met were highly impressive. I highly recommend Tom's place. Tom is gracious enough and can be a friend, not just a host!

I enjoyed my end of season stay on Homer Spit. This place was perfect for me to spend a quiet night before a trip out to Tutka Bay Lodge for the weekend. The proximity to the beach is as pictured and a little path takes you straight to it. Sunset from the little deck was lovely. Shop employees who let me into the space were friendly and helpful.

The apartment was comfortable there was lots of hot water for the jacuzzi. It was comfortable and close to town.

The place is very cozy & peaceful. I would definitely stay here again!

Altho I did not communicate with Allison directly in regards to the stay, I did communicate with Katia who provided me with all the info I needed and timely updates. This is our second time staying at the Surfshack and it is a great location for a cozy haven after a long day of kayaking!

The view was amazing! My kiddos loved the play fort, we enjoyed the fire pit and public kitchen. Was a great first airbnb experience :)

Such a lovely place in such a lovely location with simply wonderful hosts. I stayed for several weeks for a new job, and Alicia & Liam made me feel at home immediately with their warm welcome and knowledgeable answers about where to go and what to do. Waking up every morning to the large windows framing the winter sunrise and Juneau's lights twinkling across the water made it easier to handle the short winter days. The kitchen is well set up for a long or short stay, the bed is so comfy, and the hand-tiled shower made me smile every morning. Do pay attention to the photos and feedback on the steps down; it took me a few days to get used to them. But also pay attention to the photos of the beach. It really is that close. I loved it there and look forward to returning.

Cool place on the river. Hot tub was a bonus.

This was an absolutely delightful place to stay for a long weekend as we celebrated our anniversary. It was spotless, well stocked, cozy, and a great jumping off point for exploring Juneau. The best attribute, though, was the panoramic view of Gastineau Channel! Even on the shortest days of the year, the million-dollar views were incredible. Derek was responsive and helpful, and the entire process from checkin to checkout was a breeze! Thanks for helping us make some memories in Juneau.

Had a great stay. Was 100% accurate to pictures. Extremely comfortable beds. Amazing deck and views from the living room. Watch the aurora’s from inside or out on the deck. Huge TV’s in all rooms. Easy communications and responsive hosts. A definite repeat for our next Fairbanks visit.

This is a wonderful place close to the city with beautiful views.

Tyler and Keri were friendly and responsive and the space was comfortable, but the ocean view is the star of the show. We enjoyed spending hours on the patio watching nature go by and listening to the sea sounds.

Great stay! Located on the eastern side of Fairbanks, it was only about a 10 minute drive to the airport. There was a miscommunication with the garage code key, but the host was very responsive and helpful. Every morning provided a beautiful and scenic view over the river. Some mornings we enjoyed this view from the hot tub. The upstairs bedroom is very nice and spacious. The downstairs bedrooms were simple and sufficient enough to accommodate four of us. The downstairs bathroom is a bit small to share but we made it work. The living room provided a comfy and spacious environment for the whole group to relax in.

Miranda’s place was a perfect stay for our older family + us and our toddler. The main bedroom had more than enough space for us to set up our pack n play and slumberpod tent. Bedrooms gets relatively dark but if you are light sensitive you may want to bring a sleep mask for summer months. Kitchen was well stocked and the downstairs living area was a great, cozy place to gather and watch the boats go by. The house backs up against the water so if you have an adventurous child you may want to use caution. We had no issues with our risk adverse toddler. It’s a quick drive across the bridge to get to the main part of Sitka downtown and many restaurants/shops. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. It was one of the cleanest properties I’ve had the pleasure of staying at here in Alaska. Thank you for sharing your home with us as we explored more of the state!

We loved the location of The Boardwalk Hotel although the weather did not cooperate (extremely windy) for us to be able to sit out and enjoy the patio and the view as much as we would’ve liked. We appreciated having the golf cart for a few hours in the evening to be able to check out the area. I was kind of surprised at the tip envelope for the cleaning ladies. We have never experienced that before since we pay a cleaning fee through Airbnb…. But of course, we then felt bad if we didn’t leave a tip. We loved the coffee and crêpes at the roasting company down the street as well as Jack and Avias for lunch! Our waitress was great! Super busy but still very friendly! Cute little town/ boardwalk.

Andrew and Trevor were fantastic co-hosts to communicate with. The stay was perfect for what we needed and location was ideal. Walking distance to most things!

Fantastic property - hard to leave but we’ll be back. We’ve stayed in Airbnb’s all over the world and this is truly special. So much beauty and the property is gorgeous without being over the top. We feel like we really experienced Alaska in an authentic and non-touristy way. The Tidepool Cabin is fantastic. Beautiful views in every direction and so eclectic. Kristi, Julian, Tomas and Elliott were perfect hosts and went above and beyond to accommodate. The kayaking was spectacular and daily interaction with sea otters and eagles was incredible. Thank you Kristi for a most excellent adventure!!!!!!!

The Cottage on the Bay was unbelievable! Upon arrival we commented the only thing that would make the cottage better was to face west vs east..until sunrise the next morning. WOW! Every morning was spectacular! Being 10 min away from Seward was great (the dirt road was not in the best shape but we're from MI so we are used to roads w/ potholes). We cooked most breakfasts/dinners (the kitchen was great for meal prep) it was nice to have lunch in town. The Safeway in Seward was stocked well and we found everything needed even gluten free items. The cottage was a perfect home base for a jam-packed week of activities starting w/ a 6 hour cruise of Kenai Fjords National Park (we saw a humpback in Sept amazing). The Two Lakes Trail in Seward was our warm up for the Exit Glacier hike. The Alaska SeaLife Center was great for our 1 rainy day! We also rafted the Resurrection River, all in Seward. Jet skiing in Whittier was crazy fun too! The cottage and Alaska did not disappoint!

We loved our stay at Salted Roots! It felt so magical to stay on the bay and look out on the mountains! Our family will definitely be returning!

We have stayed in dozens of rental homes, and Stone Lantern House is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Highest category. To start, Sitka Travel was incredibly responsive and helpful with choosing some adventures, helping us find paddle boards to rent, and getting groceries to help us since our flight in landed so late. Our host greeted us and was incredibly warm and welcoming. Her home is an architectural gem. The craftsmanship is stunning. And there is an amazing view from every spot in the house. It is clear the house was designed with artists’ eyes and the view in mind. We saw countless bald eagles, some sea lions, salmon jumping, and got to cold plunge. None of us wanted to leave, and I am already dreaming of a day we can return. We feel so lucky the hosts are willing to share their home, and that we got to stay at this incredibly magical spot in the world.

Connie was very welcoming and always responded very quickly. I would recommend staying here.

Beautiful house with an amazing view! It is a great space to share with a group. Don was flexible with our needs. It was perfect. We will be back. Highly recommend it.
