Vacation rentals with lake access in Alajuela Province

Kellys place was perfect for our family. The location is close to many of the areas local attractions and the peaceful tranquility of the deck and watching so many species of birds in the yard was incredible! We would stay here again.

Our family has a wonderful stay at Ulfran’s! Ulfran cut down coconuts for our family and taught us how to open them. The property is beautiful and filled with birds and monkeys. We loved being woken up by howler monkeys every morning! The location was very close to many activities… Sloth’s paradise down the road was the highlight of our trip! We saw frogs, eyelash viper snakes and sloths up close and in their natural habitat (not a zoo or caged area - completely natural).

Our stay at Elisabeth and Michael's home was fantastic! We felt as though we had stepped back in time to the early 1900's. They have done an amazing job restoring the place while retaining the original character. Their home is truly a work of art. While there are a few modern conveniences one might find missing, we had everything we needed, were very comfortable and felt completely at home. Michael's breakfast was wonderful and he was always ready to help in every way possible. Our conversations with our hosts were captivating and one of the hi lights of our time in Costa Rica! It is quite apparent that Elisabeth and Michael love Puntarenas and Costa Rica. That affection is quite contagious and we found ourselves more in love with their country having visited with them in their home for a few days and would definitely stay with them again.

my family of 5 enjoyed our stay. My inlaws, me, my husband and son all enjoyed the property. It was so relaxing, beautiful and clean and we found it a great base to explore La Fortuna and Arenal area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting this area.

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! Although the apartment is not brand new, it had everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home. It’s very clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped. The balcony with views of trees and mountains is a true gem – it was the perfect spot for morning coffee and a relaxing evening watching the sunset. Both bedrooms were very comfortable, with luxurious bedding, air conditioning, and blackout curtains. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. I was super happy with the fast internet so I could work remotely A huge plus is the apartment’s location – it’s very close to the pool, which was especially convenient on hot days. We had access to a gym, restaurant, and playground. The entire complex is well-kept and very safe, with 24/7 security. The host was incredibly kind, helpful, and always quick to respond to any questions or needs. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality and care – it made the stay truly special!

I booked this for my coworkers. I was the only one in communication with the host and I was in another country and it all worked out. It was so smooth

Lovely place with a beautiful lake view. The check-in mechanism allow us enter at early morning when we were coming from my sister’s wedding. Highly recommend if you what to spend a peaceful night with the song of the lake/river and births and delicious native food restaurants around the area. Thanks Yinley for this opportunity!!!

Greetings, I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. We loved the views of the lake and mountains. The view from the living room is a constant reminder of the incredible natural beauty of Arenal. We enjoyed how the morning light fills the house, especially the main bedroom. We cooked almost every day. Great stove and a well equipped kitchen was a plus and saved us a lot of money. The house is cozy with great views. The grounds are beautiful and enhance the surrounding natural beauty. We really enjoyed the quiet comfort of the house and the environment you have created. Ruben was an amazing host! Place was super cozy and he was SUPER NICE! We couldnt feel more at home than what we did! This was the consensus of myself, wife and kids! Will look for this place when going to Costa Rica!!

Amazing place! Great views. We had a problem with our shower and they sent someone to fix it right away. We stayed here to visit the cascadas celetes, it was about an hour from there.

La fortuna nunca decepciona y en esta ocasión en el hospedaje de Adrian no fue la excepción, su casa es simplemente hermosa, acogedora y con una vista increíble, cuenta con lo necesario para hacer de la estadía muy placentera. Casa Oropendola is magical – a happy place to be happy in! Everything needed to feel comfortable and at home is right there. It is spotless, spacious and well-equipped. The (fully equipped) kitchen, with panoramic windows looking out onto a landscape of utter beauty, is amazing. Gilbert has created a garden of stunning beauty whose heliconia are constantly visited by hummingbirds. Bird lovers – you will be in paradise here! I downloaded the Merlin app for my stay here and was amazed at the species it picked up. Note reliable wifi for work meetings. Safe - could have left the door unlocked at night - not exaggerating. Potable Spring water from the kitchen tap. Gilbert is the kindest and most generous of hosts. He told me about great places to go and helped me a lot. He goes far above and beyond what I expect, doing everything in his power to make the stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. He is just a sincere and kind personality. Laguna Hule is breathtaking. Great hikes!

This was property matched the description and the pictures well. El Castillo is a more peaceful area than La Fortuna and close enough to feel like you can go back and forth without any issue. The view from the porch hot tub is stunning and makes up for the rustic amenities within the cabin. There was daily construction starting at 6:00am on the house next-door, however, so I probably would not have chosen this property if I had known that before-hand.

Nos encantó nuestra estadía en este lugar. Mi familia y yo disfrutamos muchísimo de los días que pasamos aquí. El espacio es cómodo y acogedor, y la piscina fue un gran plus para todos. Además, el billar (pool) fue una excelente adición para la diversión en familia. ¡Sin duda, una experiencia increíble y nos encantaría volver!

Absolutely loved our stay! The property is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and breathtaking views of the volcano. Very private - no one else nearby. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the pool and jacuzzi—it was the perfect place to relax. The location is great too, just a quick and easy 15-minute drive into downtown. Kenneth was an exceptional host—super responsive and thoughtful, even leaving fresh coconuts in the fridge for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Se puede disfrutar de excelentes vistas, la es casa grande, cómoda y con áreas internas simplemente acogedoras. Las zonas verdes estaban muy cuidadas y limpias. La casa es de fácil acceso y a 15 minutos del Poás. Laura fue super atenta y rápida en responder.
