Brilliant place really lovely, need deeper cleaning between stays my partner does run her cleaning company so we have high standards but old dog hair and lots of dust isn’t the greatest! But the location and property is beautiful

Lovely house and beautiful location for our mother’s 60th celebration family gathering. The beautiful views from the garden, fire pit and hot tub were a great hit. We did two lovely walks from the property - one to a vineyard - and there are some fun cafes/bars in the village as well. Sandra and her husband made sure we had everything we needed during our stay and communication was very quick. I would recommend this property :)

Very cozy and quiet cottage in an idyllic area. Super friendly host and had plenty of great recommendations for us. The sauna is also Finnish approved! 😉

Our group had a wonderful stay in this property. A beautiful historical house, cosy kitchen and fireplace to play board games in front of (or watch the rugby instead). Corner store was easily walkable, so too the local pub (we recommend the Crown). Perfect place to catch a break.

We had the most amazing week at this accommodation. After hectic few months leading up to our wedding, this was the most perfect getaway to disconnect and relax. The hosts were amazing and the cabin was absolutely perfect! We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better for our mini moon. We did not want to leave and it quite honestly just felt like home. Will 100% be returning in the future and couldn’t recommend it enough!

We absolutely loved our stay such much so we didn't want to leave. Sitting & having a few drinks with the family in the beautiful garden after a day out was very relaxing. Would definitely stay here again & would highly recommend - could not fault our stay. Thank you Crystal x

A lovely modern cottage, exactly as described and photographed. It was well kitted out and essentials were provided. The bed was super comfortable but just a gentle note that if you have any mobility issues the apex of the roof means that you cannot stand up straight around the bed and the bed is low but this was not a problem on our stay. Helena and Philip were both really friendly and helpful. My personal favourite touch was when Philip invited me to pick some roses from the cottage garden to take inside. The hot tub was a real treat but please be mindful that you are in someone’s back garden so not completely secluded if they are enjoying their own space. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back.

We've spent a week there. Great place, clean, good condition, good communication with host. Nothing to complain about. We'll be back next time for sure!

We loved our stay in this unusual property set in such a beautiful location. Gordon and Marya were great hosts. Very friendly and responsive if we needed something but respected our privacy at the same time. It was easy to find and was exactly what was described in the listing. Our dog felt at home and settled quickly and loved the beach walks and discovering the South Downs. Thank you for making us feel so at home.

Tina was super friendly, kind and helpful. We felt it was home away from home and enjoyed preparing some delicious food in the nice kitchen We loved walking our dog in the common where there were deer, squirrels and beautiful bird life. We were even lucky to try the Neighbour’s free range fresh eggs from their rescued chickens who have a second chance at life. Badger’s Rest’s beds are very comfortable and it is very peaceful for sleeping. That was our experience. The coffee machine was appreciated also the washing machine. We were at our last stage of our 6 month holiday of England and this was a soft place to land & to catch up on business and prepare ourselves for going home to Australia 🇦🇺 Thank you Tina for your care. Elm Cottage, was a brilliant find and we will be back. Great place to stay, great host. Very welcoming and also received a basket of essentials including bread and biscuits with milk, butter and jam in the fridge. Tea, coffee, sugar all there. Literally walk in and a cup of tea. Perfect all round. Very pleasant stay and local to Goodwood and Chichester.

We had a great stay at this cute cottage. The beds are really comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. We loved the atmosphere of the place and we thought it fits well with Arundel town. Highly recommended!

Great little place, super cute and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were extra towels available. Lovely touch having the coffee machine, which was used everyday without fail. Everything you could possibly need, a home from home. Very happy 😃

Loved our stay at Lavender Cottage - it is so cosy and homely and in a stunning location. Our dog, Lyra, enjoyed the garden and the neighbouring polo field! Comfy bed and great log burner - a fabulous place for a short break.

A really well presented barn conversion. John explained everything when we arrived and then left us in peace. The grounds are private and quiet and all of the rooms were spotless. There was a welcoming bottle of wine, coffee, tea and milk which was nice, although we had brought most of our own. We'll definitely visit again if we are in that part of East Sussex

We loved our stay at Chris’ place. The location is perfect for exploring the Sussex countryside (Petworth, Ridgeview etc all nearby). The house was clean and well equipped, and Chris was communicative throughout. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape from the grind with friends or family - with the added bonus of a village pub in spitting distance!

Really enjoyed staying here. Settled in really quickly like our own home. Immaculate. Lovely garden with plants for bees and insects. Steyning high street just a few yards away with lots of interesting shops. Art Trails and cafes.

This was our first time in Petworth (having enjoyed other small towns across Sussex), and Emily's lovely cottage was a great base for walks in the surrounding countryside, a visit to Petworth House and just curling up with some holiday reading. In the town/vicinity, we particularly enjoyed walking in Petworth Park, up to Lodsworth and across the Shimmings Valley. The holiday decorations at Petworth House were beautiful, and the selection of wine at Hennings (literally down the street) was great to accompany home cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen. The cottage was extremely stylish and comfortable, the bedroom particularly cozy with super-soft linens, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Emily was communicative and flexible with dropping off bags, which made it easier to enjoy the v limited daylight at this time of year. Thoroughly recommend!

I am familiar with the area and it was in an ideal location. Ian and Pippa have thought of every comfort you could need while away from home. The cottage was comfortable, cozy, and had nice space - it was perfect for the two of us!

Our stay at The Nest was idyllic. Serena was there to meet us when we arrived and provided us with the warmest of welcomes. She showed us the accommodation and explained the features and appliances, as well as giving us some local recommendations for restaurants, shops and trips out. Serena also made sure we knew to contact her should we need anything else. We were delighted to find bread, milk, butter, biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cereal, toiletries and other essentials already provided! The accommodation itself is beautiful. It looks even better than the pictures show and contains everything you could need. The view from The Nest is picturesque and the surrounding area is very peaceful. I can't recommend The Nest enough. Serena is an exceptional host who has gone to great lengths to create such a wonderful space in which to spend a few days of calm. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Nest to anyone who wishes to explore the stunning Sussex countryside.

What a beautiful place to stay. It really was so relaxing and stress free. Our hosts were so easy, accommodating and generous in what they offer in terms of letting us explore and wander around the grounds. They welcomed our Labrador and he loved playing with their puppy. The accommodation was comfortable and stylish and had everything we needed. It was the perfect location for us to visit Petworth, Bosham, Arundel and Midhurst. We would love to return and can’t recommend it highly enough… just PERFECT
