Beach house vacation rentals in Virginia Beach

We really enjoyed staying at the golden hour! The hosts were very responsive and helpful! They had sound machines in every bedroom which if you have kids is a big deal. The toys and kids activities there were a big hit! The pools are pristine and the whole outdoor area is very nice! Very short walk to beach which was also convenient! They literally thought of everything, if you forgot something chances are they had it! Definitely recommend staying here if you have children and want a nice low key place to stay!

Great place located walkable to the Boardwalk and the entire Beach. We loved have the grocery store a block away and walking everyday on the Boardwalk.

The house design and decor was even better in person! The outdoor space is fantastic, very stylish and functional and we spent a lot of time at the pool. TVs in every location allowed us to cohabitate and enjoy music or shows of our liking. The neighborhood felt very safe and an easy walk to the beach and restaurants near 5th street. As a mom with two teenage girls sharing the one bathroom was a bit cramped but we made it work. I would've liked a nightstand lamp or bench to plop stuff on, but the furnishings were flexible and I was easily able to create a makeshift office in the LR and as a bonus, take calls by the pool. Overall, a charming place and very enjoyable stay for a mini beach week with teenagers. Thank you, Bradley!

The house was wonderful, the location was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and listening to the birds on the back deck. So peaceful! We were away from the crowds but could easily bike or ride the golf cart into town to walk, shop, or visit the restaurants and bars. Highly recommend!

Lisa's house was perfect for our family getaway. the house was big, comfortable, spacious, and the kids loved the pool and hot tub! it was walkable to the beach, and the beach chairs and wagon provided made it even easier. Lisa was extremely responsive and the manual was a great resource. thank you for hosting us!

Martin’s place was BEAUTIFUL and SO clean! Very roomy and beautifully decorated with all the amazing attention to details! The wild horses that came to visit the property were so beautiful and fascinating to watch! I will absolutely be back and 1000% recommend Martin’s place! Martin was also an incredible host with his attentiveness and even talked me through driving on the beach since it was my very first time ever driving on sand… I was terrified lol But he was able to calm me down via the phone and I got there safe and sound with no issues! Awesome stay!! 😁

The salty swan was perfect. The house was just as described and hosted the most beautiful sunsets. Hands down my favorite part of the house is the elevator! I walk with a cane, the sloth is my spirit animal; that elevator was a life saver! The sound was quiet and peaceful. So close to everything yet a reserved peaceful retreat. Can’t wait to come back.

Overall very nice stay at Stephanie's home. She was excellent at communication leading up to the visit and during the trip as well. Had everything we needed and the beds were really comfortable. The location is very close to the 4x4 entrance to Carova which was super convenient, and the main reason we stayed in this area. But it was also close to restaurants, walking distance to the beach, and lots of activities nearby. The house itself is spacious, and the pool and hot tub were great to have for kids and adults alike. The home is showing some signs of wear and tear (decks, furniture, floors, paint) but honestly that's to be expected in OBX homes. Salt and sun aren't kind to upkeep! Thanks again, will consider Stephanie's home for next trip.

Such a lovely place. Well kept and very very clean. The hosts were so gracious and easy to get a hold of. Can’t recommend this location enough for your next stay!!!!

Matt's home is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. There was a lot of attention paid to our needs such as laundry detergent, garbage bags, etc. The house was well supplied with the necessities to cook, plenty of towels for both bath and beach, and working appliances....we felt very much at home. We were visiting our daughter who goes to a college nearby, and she took advantage of staying with us and commented on how comfortable the bed was. We look forward to staying at Matt's home again.

Our family enjoyed our weekend at Big Blue. It was special because it was my wife's birthday and there was plenty of family with us. We really liked how the 2nd and 3rd floor are duplicates of each other. It's like 2 different apartments , but we had access to both. The kids on the 2nd floor and the adults on the 3rd. Very clean open spaces. The host were responsive and proactive. We hope to make the Willoughby Spit area a regular vacation spot, very lovely.

Space was perfect for us staying as a family of 6. Bedrooms were great and the home offered plenty of space throughout. Awesome backyard, although we did not really use - very close beach access. Had all the amenities we needed for a long weekend!

Andrew’s home exceeded our expectations! This was a beautiful house, bigger than we imagined, so clean and comfortable with room for us to spread out. Our dog loved the fenced-in yard! There were great local food recommendations and we appreciated them all! We especially loved the extra seating area: my husband and I read there while our teenaged boys played video games in the living room. Our favorite AirBNB so far! Thank you, Andrew, for the hospitality! We hope to come back again!

"Time Out" was exactly what our family needed for a few days over Spring Break! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a thoughtful welcome basket, which was such a wonderful treat. The home was exactly as described and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. The added bonus of being able to bring our fur-baby made our visit all the better! With a fenced-in backyard along with necessary pet clean-up tools/bags in the shed, we had everything we needed! This was our first visit to Cape Charles, and the location of the home was absolutely perfect; situated right "in-town" and across the street from the park/playground. A huge "thank you" to Heidi for being so responsive, helpful, and clear with instructions. We felt right at home here, and will be sure to stay at "Time Out" on our next visit to Cape Charles. Thank you!!

My family had a great stay here. We were able to easily walk to the beach and the house was perfect. Tons of toys and books for kids, too. I’ve already had to promise my daughter that we’d be back to this house, it really is special! Lots of charm and personal touches, unlike what you get from most cookie cutter airbnbs nowadays. Throwback to what used to make Airbnb cool, which we appreciate!

Bob's place is in a killer location: feels quiet and remote but is also close to everything. The place itself is spacious, homey, has bikes for use, and is very comfortable. There's nature, nice dining spots, and places to ride a bike. I loved the place, and Bob was a solid host who always responded quickly and clearly cares about his guests and their experiences.

The home was fantastic and Julie was extremely hospitable!

Brandon was an awesome host. The location is amazing. Really was great to walk to any nice restaurant, but you weren't located on the main street. Better than I could have imagined.

We had a wonderful stay here - perfectly appointed & had all the essentials for a quick getaway. Plenty of walkable coffee shops, and can’t beat the beach access. Jillian was super responsive & provided a great place for our weekend trip. Would definitely stay again!

Highly recommend! Kathy was super responsive and kind in communications, and her home was lovely. Great location, and kind neighbors. A spacious space for our group of 6 adults and 3 kiddos. Especially loved the separate tv room and living room, which allowed the kids to watch movies after a day at the beach, while the adults enjoyed conversation in a private space. We had fun renting a golf cart - not needed as everything is walkable, but fun and helpful when making multiple trips everywhere. Hope to stay again!

This was my second stay at Kathy’s and it was great. The location is perfect. Within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and a local brewery. And the fenced in yard was perfect for my pups.
