Waterfront vacation rentals in Vila Nova de Gaia

Location, location, location! The unit itself is fairly basic (though well equipped), but the view of Porto/Ribeira is sensational! Very comfortable unit for 2. Close to the port houses and Louis 1 Bridge. Marcelo provided good instructions to enter the property and was responsive to any request. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a good welcome from Ana, which gave us several lnfos for the smooth running of our stay. the apartment is very comfortable, clean,very functional and with a view of the douro and the sea. we advise.

Very conveniently located, super close to St. Francis Xavier Church, and very easy to find.Although the building is slightly old and has a sense of history, the room is clean, well-equipped, and the bedding is comfortable.Just like the pictures, there is a small square downstairs when you open the window, the Douro River flows quietly, and Vila Nova de Gaia is in the distance.Communication with the host was smooth and the stay was good.

Clear instructions for check-in, clean apartment that looked just like the photos, and an amazing view of the river! A lot of loud, lively activity on the riverfront which was something we expected but good for guests to be aware of. We had a great stay and hope to return soon!

The location was perfect for us. Everything was very walkable. It is centrally located in Porto so we could walk to any and all sites. The restaurants in the area are fabulous and we loved being on the river. The only negative we had was that we had difficulty with the keys, but that was not Nuno's fault but our ownhe was a perfect toast and it was a perfect location.

Francisco's apartment is one of the best! The location is just the center of Porto with the stunning bridge view. Francisco is far more than warm, helpful, and proactive. He prepared everything we need and check everyday to offer great help. It made us feel like home! The rooms are really nice in the old building, with easy and safe parking. Francisco welcomed us when checkin, and warmingly showed each equipments in the house, also helped with many luggages to the 2nd floor. Overall, we enjoyed our staying and hopefully could stay longer.

We loved our stay in Porto! The apartment was beautiful, clean and comfortable, and their instructions were very easy to follow. Having a spot to park our car was also a great perk, especially since you can walk to everywhere from this spot easily. We highly recommend this spot if you’re in Porto!

Among all the Airbnbs I have stayed at, this was by far the best. The hosts, Cris and her husband, were the most thoughtful and considerate people I have ever met through airbnb. They prepared everything for us with such care and kindness. Staying in a traditional Porto house was a special experience, and we ended up visiting almost every restaurant Cris recommended—they were all amazing and truly unforgettable. I’m so sad to be leaving… Thanks to them we had a wonderful trip

Clara was an excellent hostess who greeted us with fig cake and port wine. She offered bottles of wine (nominal charge because good wine is inexpensive in Porto, Portugal) available for purchase. She offered a tour of the accommodations, providing instructions where necessary, but kept it to a minimum. We booked an airbnb experience Douro Valley tour through Clara .... it was wonderful and highly recommended. Keep-in-mind, of the three airbnb's we stayed-in through-out Portugal only one had dryer. Washing machine at Clara's was downstairs, outside but in a shed area, and she had a line drying feature. The ensuite is a bit tight, but nothing that can not be lived with with for a brief stay and all the decor is charming.

The location is really fantastic, although you can't go to sleep before midnight on weekends in fine weather. The hustle and bustle on the promenade sometimes goes on until the early hours of the morning.

Our family (4&3 yo) had a lovely stay. The space is large for the kids to play. It is a space which allows play time and games with no TV, something of a blessing. The bedrooms are close by to each other but provide privacy so not to disturb each other. The hosts are wonderful, we arrived late but José still took the time to greet us and provide essentials to save us having to go shopping. Our kids really enjoyed their time with José and his home.

Maria greeted us and had cheese and cold beverages and a few other amenities in the fridge , we were able to get some great information she was very friendly and helpful . The views were fantastic exactly like the photo’s . Went to the Espinho market on Monday it was huge great deals and something for everyone was easy to get there . Plenty of walkways all along the ocean you can walk for miles . The train station is very close that you can take to Porto just FYI if you do take the train to Sao Bento Porto which is the downtown you have to change to Train 2 at the main station. This area is easy to get around and parking was close and free. Would love to come back to this area to explore some more .

The three bedrooms were so cute and charmingly decorated. Having two bathrooms and 3 rooms were perfect for our family to have some privacy and rest, and it was very clean and comfortable! The view of the bridge was spectacular, so nice to be able to see it at night as well from your own room. Porto is hilly, so yes, there is some uphill walking to be prepared for. We loved the place and appreciated Maria’s excellent communication and thoughtfulness to leave snacks and necessities (soap, laundry pods, etc).

This apartment could not be better located and is exquisitely decorated. Such a great value for the nightly rate. After a little help from our host with the washer/dryer, our stay was seamless. Thanks again and we look forward to our return!!

We have never experienced such a well-maintained, clean and well-equipped apartment. It corresponds 100% to the photos. There is a large underground parking lot. The landlord Manuel took care of things proactively and asked several times if everything was okay. The location is right on the main beach of Esmoriz, separated only by the waterfront road. However, it should be noted that at the end of August, a fair takes place right in front of the house with corresponding volume in the afternoon and evening.

This is the second time I have stayed at one of Christoph’s properties and once again it did not disappoint. Only a couple of minutes downhill to the Duoro river and the Pont Luis. Amazing restaurants on the doorstep and a great place to wander and discover new things. Loved the place.

Very nice apartment, as described and shown in photos. Antonio is very welcoming and accommodating the view from the apartment is just amazing Antonio's touches like coffee, dishwasher pods and laundry are a very nice addition. i recommend this listing

A magnificent apartment in the modern house, with super nice decor. Very stylishly decorated with Portuguese charm! Everything top and clean! Best location, 1 minute to beach, kiosk, bakery and several restaurants with cheap but great food, where even police officers go out for dinner during their break! To the train station 10 minutes, to Porto about 35 minutes. To Lidl also only about 10 minutes. "Quiet" location but in the middle of the locals, the fishermen provide the rest of the authentic flair! We will be back!

This apartment is spectacular!! It has the feel of a luxury San Francisco penthouse apartment. We could listen to the waves at night. Multiple restaurants are within a 2 block area! While It's not technically IN Porto, it's a very inexpensive Uber ride away...and we saw a lot of the city that way without having to walk! The platform bed setup as one solid bed was a bit challenging for an older couple, but overall, the apartment made it worth the challenge! We'd definitely stay there again!

The apartment is excellent and very well located, with restaurants and bakeries just around the corner. There's a supermarket and public transport right across the street, and you can easily walk to Gaia and Jardim do Morro. Marcos was very friendly and responsive, making communication smooth and easy. Highly recommend!

Laura is a great host and really went out of her way to organize everything great for us. The apartment was spotless and had everything you need (and even more). We spent very nice and relaxing days in this beachfront accommodation. Thank you, Laura
