Amazing hosts! Patricia speaks English and even though her dad does not, he went out of his way to connect through many kind acts. He would bring baked goodies every morning and several times drove us places, including back from the airport when we returned our car. They also left us lots of food, including milk, eggs from their hens, produce from their garden, water, wine, beer, cookies, cheese, prosciutto etc. Before buying groceries, I would check in to see what they have stocked you with. A few things to note: the 2nd bathroom is only a half bathroom with toilet, no shower; the place is compact, particularly for 3 people, and the second room does not have a window; the air conditioning is only in the living room, which might matter in summer (but it’s a stone house so keeps relatively cool). Lastly, the place is 7 mins walk to the metro and a further 15 mins to the historic centre. Patricia gave us 3 metro cards, to be refilled. Tip: it’s hilly;use bus to go from river to metro

Luisa was very nice, the house is very comfortable for families and is fully equipped. It is easy to get there by vehicle.

We were delighted with this home for our girls' weekend in Porto. It met our expectations: easy access and very good location, metro 5 min walk, the port in a few minutes, in a quiet area. Casa located in a quiet place ideal for a group or family vacation. All rooms are suites, which is a bright spot for bathroom privacy. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you need at the level of appliances (toaster, coffee machine (delta), microwave, dishwasher) as well as dishwasher for a group of 10 people. The whole decoration is very beautiful and thought out. Outside spaces are large and well arranged, the space for the barbecue is impeccable. It is undoubtedly a place to visit again!

The house is super well equipped and cared for. All rooms (the 8) have a toilet. Luisa is super nice and let us check out a little later. The only negative point was the pool being shared with the other house, otherwise everything was perfect :)

The accommodation was ideal for our group of friends, well located for visiting Porto, either with transport that is not far away, or with Uber. The hosts have always been very responsive, and a great help, everything went well from check-in to check-out. Thank you!

The house was perfectly set up for our family! Our family of 8 adults (three married couples, and one 83 year old and one single adult) found the house to be exactly what we needed. My husband and I took the top floor with his mom. Our three sons and their two wives shared the bottom floor. The five bedrooms were perfect for us and the three full bathrooms made mornings easier. The house offered lots of space for us to hang out together, but we were so busy enjoying the city of Porto, that we did not spend much time in the home. The outdoor patio was lovely! There were towels on each bed for us, the kitchen had plenty of plates, glasses, some cleaning supplies and basics (tea, sugar, salt, etc.). There is a grocery store around the corner, which was very convenient. Host was quick to respond to our questions about the area and the home, and was flexible when we arrived later than expected about meeting us. It all worked out perfectly for our family.

Staying at Quinta dos Moinhos was truly a dream come true for us. Not only was it the perfect setting for our wedding, but the property and the views were simply unforgettable. The home is absolutely stunning and one of a kind, nestled in a peaceful and picturesque location, with breathtaking views and a rich family history. Every detail of the home is filled with character, and you can feel the care and pride that has gone into preserving the home and the surrounding nature. Diogo was an exceptional host - warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. He even hopped on a Facetime call so we could see the property firsthand and feel more confident about our decision! Diogo is just a genuinely kind person, and from the moment we arrived he made us feel completely at ease. His hospitality and kindness were especially meaningful during such a special time in our lives. We couldn’t ask for a more special place to celebrate, and we are already looking forward to the day we can return!

Had a fantastic stay at the house, it’s absolutely huge, the photos don’t do it justice. Very good value for money if travelling with a big group. The Uber from the airport dropped us right outside so it was very easy to find, also very easy to make our way into town either on foot or by Uber. The host kindly allowed us to check in early and kept communication open through the booking process which was really helpful. Would stay again!

Great place to stay was clean and relaxing and the pool was great for the family. The host was very helpful and friendly, informed us of local restaurants and events in the area including a medieval festival that was taking place whilst we were there. Absolutely wonderful home and stay here. The house was clean and cupboards were stocked with spices and essentials. We were left some homemade jam and coffee pods which were a huge plus. The beds were comfortable and the views of the valley are exceptional. We will be returning.

Renovated in 2015, the house has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. It was a great place to stay for a week to view Porto and surroundings. Reception was extremely friendly, very warm. The house features a beautiful terrace, a (unheated) infinity pool with beautiful views over the valley and Duoro and features a (clean!) Weber BBQ. Lots of privacy to enjoy with your company outside. 15-20 Mbps internet sufficient to prepare you digitally for a day trip. Despite the fact that the fire alarm system was not completely stable, the owner has done everything possible to improve this during our stay. For a stay just outside Porto with peace and space, this is a great location.

The Villa was clean, super spacious and equipped with everything you might need. Just a 2 min walk from the beach, with a bakery and some restaurants also close by. Everything worked out just perfect and we had no complaints and Clara responded to messages relatively quickly. We really enjoyed the Villa and our stay. The only issue was communicating with the person who we had to contact when we needed something once we stayed at the Villa, response to our questions was usually late.

This villa is beautiful and has many features which unfold every day. Each bedroom has a desk, the kitchen is professional, the tennis court, ping pong, billiard, and the hockey table bring lots of joy and fun. The pool is great for sunny afternoons. Jean-Francois received us very well with warm hospitality and attention to details. We ordered his brick oven pizza one night which was a very special treat. He made delicious coffee every morning and kindly shared with us and treated us with a basket from his garden.
