Small cottage with charm at Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk upwards from the parking lot. Here there is simple life without electricity and water. The road up is a nice trip, a bit heavy some lots. Recommend going upstairs before dark. Remember good shoes and warm cloths. At the top, the prize awaits, flat and nice with lovely views:) Bunk bed in kitchen, sofa bed in living room. Remember sleeping bag+pillowcase, bed sheets are in the cabin. *Road fee NOK 50,- *Remember drinking water! Dishwashing water is available in the cabin *storm kitchen/portable *Outhouse

Lovely cabin

Forget the worries, enjoy long lovely days in this lovely cottage by beautiful Tyrifjorden. Here you are vacationing both rural and central at the same time. Oslo 40 min away, the fjord on the plot, golf course 5 min away and not to mention Krokskogen with lovely ski slopes, hiking and biking trails! The cabin is newly rehabilitated and is a great custom to come back to after active days out. No water! Drinking water comes in cans (arranged by host), water for washing is collected in the fjord. Incineration toilet. Dock broken

Mini kitchen and fridge for own cooking. own bathroom in barn next to the cabins. unique animals on the farm ,eggs from hens on the farm. This is a great house to stay in if you're looking for a quiet getaway. The house is very well equipped with everything you need and can easily fit 3 couples comfortably. The porch has a stunning view of the lake. Torstein was a great host and very responsive to our questions.

Fantastic place. Idyllic location by the Steinsfjord. Cozy cabin with a little more modern Annex. Waking up in the Bedroom at Annex with Large Window/door right out towards the fjord was great. The only downside was that you had to bring bed linens and clean up after yourself. Slightly unfamiliar from past experiences with Airbnb. But Host luckily informed about this before we left home. Would like to have a trip back later:)

Lovely quick and attentive communication with Kristin. The stay lived up to the description and is just what it is. A cabin high up in the terrain with lots of tranquility and great views. The house is exactly as it looks but also nicely cleaned and you immediately feel at home. we chose to hike from the house up on public hiking routes a few km away.

The cottage is really ideally located, quiet and in nature. It is bright, spacious and well-equipped. The views are special. Great communication with Anne Kistrine. It should be noted that the shower is outside but that didn't bother us. We had a great hike in the area. We recommend the place for those who want to unwind while staying close to Oslo.

We had a wonderful stay at Heidi and Kristoffers beautiful cabin. Exquisite location with fabulous views, with great walking paths in close vicinity. They were fantastic hosts and responded immediately to all of our enquiries. We particularly loved the design and layout of the cabin, and felt very comfortable throughout the duration of our stay. We prepared big meals, and really made good use of they're kitchen (an italian in tow)... It should be noted that if you are having big meals be prepared to refill the water tank. For washing up and of course shower purposes. For us this added an extra charm and we really didn't mind refilling at the well just on the doorstep. My daughter loved assisting with the buckets. We had a fabulous 4 day break and found the cabin and it's amenities all very satisfying. As 3 adults, a labrador and a 5 year old, it really did tick all the boxes. Why are eager to return in future!
