Guests are welcome to use the terrace with outdoor furniture. By the fjord, there is a sauna available for guests to use free of charge. It’s just a one-minute walk to the beach. The property is also conveniently located near hiking trails, sights and attractions, a golf course, and a grocery store.

Guests must bring their own bed linen/towels; laundry is the responsibility of the tenant. Dogs/cats are allowed, and there are two cats living outside; allergy sufferers should be aware of this.

Perfect for weekend or holiday week with family! Summer living room with a lot of history, private beach and fjord view on idyllic Bønsnes. Around the property is a small forest that borders the Tyrifjord. A newly renovated and cozy older house located separately in the forest, with a large living room with fireplace, four spacious bedrooms, and lots of patio. A historical touch: The painter Anders Svarstad (1869-1943) lived on the neighboring property. He was married to Nobel Prize winner Sigrid Undset – they were regular visitors to the farm.

There is also a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. Combined kitchen and living room with large wood-burning stove that is great to gather around on a cold winter day. Two bedrooms with beds for a total of 5 people. A couple of extra guest beds can also be added and there is the possibility to sleep on the sofa so there is room for many.

Short distance to the river with fishing and swimming facilities, Blaafargeværket (about 10 min drive), Vikersundbakken (10 min drive), Furumo swimming facility (approx. 10 min drive).

Asker has a lot to offer, and Engelsrud is surrounded by three lakes which gives many opportunities for recreation summer and winter. Our garden/yard is very family friendly. A five minute walk from the house you can get public transportation bringing you downtown Asker in ten min. Asker has a small, but well developed downtown with a nice selection of stores, restaurants and coffeeshops. Trains will bring you to Oslo in twenty min. 15 min by car will bring you to the Oslo fjord in Asker.

The house is 94 sqm and contains two large bedrooms, a small bathroom with heated floors, large and spacious entrance, new kitchen and large living room with two large sofas that can be used as beds. Everything was renovated in 2017. There is a patio with evening sun that belongs to the house and parking outside. Right by the beach, forest, mountains and city. Whether you want to travel, climb, kite or just relax. Heating is provided by a heat pump and wood stove as well as panel heaters.
