Family-friendly vacation rentals in Twin Cities

My family and I selected Aaron and Colleen as hosts based on their five-star rating and safe location. However, we received more than what was expected. The first day, we were met with a personalized note, chocolates, and drinks in the fridge, including homemade cold brew! Such a thoughtful touch made us feel right at home. We were busy with family activities in the city, so we didn’t use the Peloton, hot tub, or sauna as expected. Still, returning to immaculate, extremely comfortable, stylish accommodation was lovely. The mattress was perfect! We also enjoyed listening to various records on the record player while playing cards and board games; it felt nostalgic. We enjoyed our stay, to say the least, and hope to revisit our experience at some future time.

This is by far the cleanest Airbnb ever. Since we are a group of snorers, we had to try out the 2 couches in the adorable nooks and they were perfect. Appreciated the electrical outlets. All typical travel issues that I usually encounter were solved here. Stay at Aaron and Colleen’s. You won’t regret it.

Great place. Eric had wonderful recommendations for walkable restaurants and other things to do in the area. The yard and garage area were a hit. Very friendly host.

Your place was a perfect fit for our weekend plans! We could stay and relax, but also did activities in the Cities due to close proximity. Perfect fit and place to allow our fur baby to come along! THANK YOU!

It was even nicer than the photos, with a beautiful back yard, fun pool table, very clean. Jill was very responsive.

Great place to stay! Easy to get around Minneapolis. This is the best stocked, most organized rental we have ever been to. Sarah has truly thought of everything to make your stay the best.

This well-equipped home is the perfect base for exploring Minneapolis. It's convenient to lots of activities and restaurants, but a tranquil spot to relax with plenty of space both inside and outside. Highly recommend.

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

Very nice and cozy spot near downtown. The place was as described and looked exactly like the photos. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The house was charming, and had lots of amenities. The kitchen had more pots and pans, silverware, appliances than I’ve ever seen at any other Airbnb where we’ve stayed. It was awesome!! Having use of the garage is also rare, and it was so convenient. We were there in the spring, and it would be really helpful in the winter. Kudos to excellent hosts for making the atmosphere so friendly and warm.

Very cute and peaceful place. It was very nice inside and easy to get to. If you have kids or pets it's the perfect little Airbnb. it has a very large backyard with a secure fence. It even has a swing set. Our dogs loved running around.

Josh & Layl’s place is exactly the kind of quirky, character-filled place we love to stay when traveling. The apartment is full of art, books, and games. We are part of a large extended family and the dining table was inviting for long talks and laughter. The location was fantastic for us as we could walk to a cousin’s home and the Windom Park. Holy Land is always a favorite and it’s practically next door. 10/10 recommend.

Great location, easy street parking, and there is everything you need in the apartment though it is quite small.

Very responsive host. Comfortable and convenient home in a nice neighborhood. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. As someone who has lived in both Minneapolis and St. Paul, I love this location. 15-20 mins to pretty much anywhere you want to go and very close to Highland neighborhood in St. Paul, which means you are close to some shopping and restaurants. Mississippi Blvd has sidewalks within a block and a half of this home and it’s very close to Hidden Falls Park. Shower is awesome with great water pressure. Water does get scalding hot, so be aware of that. More of an awareness thing than complaint as there is nice hot water. Convenient closest with hangers, soaps in shower, etc. We would stay again.

The apartment was great! The neighborhood is very nice, beautiful, and walkable, very close to the university. The check-in was smooth. It was amazing for our weekend trip to the Twin Cities.

We had a wonderful stay at Jean-Claude’s! It is a beautiful place inside & out. We enjoyed that it was walkable (roughly a mile from Palace Theatre, shorter distances to coffee & restaurants, and Summit Avenue is a gorgeous walk of old mansions). Jean-Claude is an excellent host! We hope to be back someday!

It was great! Maybe not for the very tall due to some of the duct work but the location met our needs. The neighborhood was beautiful and the location as close to local shops. We recommend trying "Our kitchen" for breakfast

The apartment was nice and quiet. Our check-in could have been smoother but the hiccups were my fault. A good value and a few minutes from Starbucks. Great hosts.

This place is lovely. So comfortable and elegant and sweet. The kitchen is amazing, huge and with anything and everything you would ever need. Beds are comfy, lots of info about local restaurants (incredible number within walking distance) and other places of interest. Walk to downtown, the U, Dinkytown. Highly recommended.

Deb is the sweetest host! She was very communicative throughout our experience and even came out to greet us, chat, and give us a tour upon our arrival. She is very thoughtful with the set up with an abundance of bonus amenities- snacks, coffee, toiletries, robes, games, etc. It felt like staying at a relative's home. Would definitely stay again! This was our second stay at this listing and like the first, everything was wonderful. There was an issue with the TV that Kim told us about when we arrived, and new TV was installed. Kim was always responsive to questions and concerns. Her place was spotless, the fridge was stocked with basic necessities when we arrived, and Kim included a really sweet Christmas gift for our daughter. We have absolutely loved staying there both times, and I hope we can stay there again in the future. Thank you, Kim!

A great place. Cozy but spacious. Super clean. We didn’t arrive until after 10 PM, but Susan was fine with that.

I chose this rental for its convenient central location in a lovely neighborhood and many amenities within walking distance. Rental unit is well-equipped: bed was quite comfortable other furnishings were cozy. During my stay, it was not warm enough to sit on the secluded patio but I enjoyed the view and the privacy of that outdoor space.

Alison's place is in a great location for a stay in the Uptown neighborhood. We had a wonderful short stay and enjoyed the lush and private back yard. Short walks to great restaurants and the lakes.
