Absolutely worth the stay. The view of the water is beautiful and the place is spotless. I’ve recommended it to a few people already. I’ve never done that so fast with an Airbnb. The location is great close to all the shops of Lake Geneva. The hosts were beyond fantastic and responsive. Thank you. We’ll be back later in the summer

The home was beautiful & spacious. It was a perfect location to attending our Sailor’s graduation. Our sailor was able to have her own room & there was still enough room for the rest of us! The hosts were very responsive & friendly. It was a great experience! The process from booking to checking in to leaving was very easy & convenient!

*Pink Flamingo* *Downtown Lake Geneva*

ErikaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at Patti's place for a 30th birthday girls trip and it was fantastic! We were very close to the main area at Lake Geneva and it was easy to grab an Uber to get to dinner and go to the bars afterwards. If it would have been warmer out (not 20-30 degrees out) we probably would have walked everywhere from Patti's place! The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean and well decorated! Cutest AirBnB I have ever stayed in! 11/10 would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Cape Cod Lake Geneva, 10 min walk to downtown

ShanonRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Tammy’s place was perfect for our stay there over the holiday season! It was super clean and cozy, all the Christmas decorations really made it feel so special and festive. There is a great dog park within walking distance that we went to every day, all the shops downtown are also within a 15 minute walk. It’s such a convenient location! I’d recommend Tammy’s place to anyone looking for a cozy getaway in Lake Geneva :)

NEW RENO Blue Bungalow DT Lake Geneva Walk to Lake

MandyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a very enjoyable few days stay at Linda and Tim's bungalow. Linda let us know that we could check in early, which was a nice surprise. Everything was as described. Loved the added touch of coffee and tea supplies, and water in the fridge. Beds were comfortable, as was the sofa. Very clean, and tidy. Hosts communicated well, asking if we had any questions or if there were issues. We had one day in the 70's and were able to take advantage of the grill and fire pit, fire starting supplies and wood were a bonus. Would definitely stay here if back in the area.

Spent every sunset in the Lakeview room😍 Just gorgeous beyond words! Did i mention the Bald Eagle that hangs out in the tree right outside the Lakeview bedroom? Incredible! the lake doesn't freeze over in one spot in front of the lakeview window, saw all the big birds of prey hunt. It was definitely wildlife at its finest. The owners are Very responsive & told us to be on the look out for the eagle! Fantastic time! Loved Loved Loved it & already reserved for our Wedding weekend❤️

Entertain on The Chain! water sports and sauna.

JoshuaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Tucked along the quiet northern edge of Antioch, this house doesn’t just offer a place to stay - it gives you something to feel. Vaulted ceilings, custom barnwood beds, and raw concrete countertops set the tone: warm, solid, and built with intent. The private beach isn’t flashy - it’s better. Soft sand, still water, and no reason to rush. Grill outside, gather at the big family-style table, then sweat it all out in the sauna that feels like it was made to erase stress. The beds hit the sweet spot between firm and forgiving. Every corner of the place feels curated without being pretentious. Jewel is just up the road if you need supplies, but you’ll quickly forget the outside world exists. And Waylon? The kind of host you rarely get - quick to respond, genuinely helpful, and fully dialed in without hovering. This isn’t just a weekend rental - it’s the kind of place that makes you rethink how you spend your time off. You’ll leave better than you arrived.

Root River Home - Waterfront property - Sleeps 8+

RickRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Need to spend a night in the Racine/Kenosha area and stumbled upon this gem! There were four of us and our little dog and it was perfect. I think each of us said, “it’s too bad we’re not staying for another night!” The pictures don’t really do it justice but Mindy’s house is homey, comfortable, and spotless! The kitchen was well-equipped, beds were comfy, and the backyard/river view is wonderful. Thank you Mindy!

Your guide to Lake Geneva

All About Lake Geneva

Located on the eastern shore of Wisconsin's Geneva Lake, the town of Lake Geneva is known for its dense, beautiful forests and historic Victorian-style mansions that dot the waterfront. Despite the town's small size and population, it draws travelers from Chicago and Milwaukee who come to take part in its abundance of recreational activities like boating, swimming, hiking, and more adventurous options such as ziplining and hot air balloon rides.

Several interesting cultural attractions can be found throughout the region, like the Yerkes Observatory, which after completion in 1897, served as the largest astronomical telescope in the world for several years. In addition, a vibrant downtown community plays host to weekly farmers markets, art galleries, trendy cafes, and popular events like the Venetian Festival — with its live music, fireworks show, craft fair, and carnival.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Lake Geneva

Temperatures and general weather conditions vary drastically throughout the year in Lake Geneva. Summers in the area tend to be temperate, with conditions conducive to water activities, hiking, and other outdoor recreation. If you're looking for Lake Geneva vacation rentals from around May to October, you can expect to find several weekly farmers markets taking place where you can purchase fresh produce, cheese, flowers, bread, jams, and local honey.

Despite the town's reputation as a summer getaway, winter has its draws. Be sure to bring heavy layers and boots as the temperature falls quite dramatically during this time, along with regular snowfall. The surrounding mountains provide sublime skiing and sledding, while the lake itself freezes for a chance to partake in the local tradition of ice fishing. Around the beginning of February, you can attend the Lake Geneva Winterfest, enjoy s'mores, bonfires on the beach, and watch teams from across the country compete in a 72-hour snow sculpting competition.
